I have worked with Byron, Dennis and John at South O Roofing for the last few years on home improvements. Their expertise, workmanship, and service is outstanding. I will call them first on any home projects I have. Their pricing is very reasonable and competitive.

Five stars for excellent service and a beautiful new roof! Eddie J. was knowledgeable and worked hard to get the job done with our insurance company. Eddie made the whole process easy for us! We really appreciate the whole SouthO Roofing team, and we would highly recommend this family owned business to anyone!

South O roofing took great care of my home and family. Dennis came out and looked at my roof windows and gutters. Dennis was able to get me a new roof and some of my widow raps replaced. The crew that did the roof did a great job also. They removed my old roof installed a new roof in one day and cleaned up all their mess. My new roof looks great. Thanks South O roofing.

We contracted with South O to replace our siding after the Damage from the August storm. Dennis came into our home walked us through the process and gave us a great deal of options. The crew showed up a short time later and did a quick and professional job on our home! It was almost as though our home was new again! Dennis B. did an awesome job start to finish for me! Dennis got me a new roof on my garage and house! The owner even stopped by himself! My head was spinning with the quick turn around, once my insurance company came out and agreed with everything Dennis presented, my new roof and gutters were on the very next week! Dennis South is an exceptional business manager and crew leader. My house was done within 2 months after the Cedar Rapids 2020 Derecho. The crew that worked on my house were efficient, hard working and kind. I am grateful for Dennis, Cassandra and the crews at South-O, especially being a single-mother home owner. Trustworthy work, my house passed 4 home inspections during my home selling process in March months after their work was completed. Ok

Nothing but good things to say about South O Roofing. From Rick who was out initial contact with South O to Henry and his roofing crew they all where professional, personable and friendly. The job was done quickly (1 day) and we are very pleased with our new roof. The next day John came to inspect the work done and gave it his thumbs up, Rick also returned that day as well to see how we liked our roof. From beginning to end we couldn't be more pleased. I was EXTREMELY happy with my experience with South O Roofing. I was a fairly new homeowner when the Derecho hit Cedar Rapids, IA and I had no idea what I was needing and how to get it. Dennis Smith, my sales manager, was beyond helpful. He took care of the claim process for me and kept me in the loop on progress. They put a new roof, siding and gutters on my house and detached garage. All looks great! I have already recommended them and I will continue to do so. Thank you Dennis and South O!

We needed to replace our roof in order to sell our home complicated since we had already moved to another state. We received more than one bid, but even though they were not the lowest, they were the most professional. We had several conversations with Dennis Below and he was very thorough and informative and they performed exactly as they represented. He also saved us several thousand dollars by locating the manufacturer of our thermo pane windows to have them repaired under warranty. I would highly recommend Dennis and South O and thank them for an excellent job.

Our experience with South O was great! From the time their rep came to figure the bid to the time work was started was professional and fast. Several of my neighbors were in disbelief observing South O setting up as they left for work and our roof primarily done by the time they returned home the same day. The cleanup was nothing short of phenomenal! Tarps were used to cover vegetation close to the house but it also collected debris. A magnetic roller was used multiple times in the grass plus visual inspections/collections. We highly recommend South O for roofing and associated repairs!

We had some siding damage on our garage that needed repaired ASAP. We called around to several local companies and received what seemed like a scripted response each time. We called South O and we were set up with Dennis Smith. He was very knowledgeable about the process, the repair, and the materials needed - and most importantly how to obtain the materials as the siding was very old. He kept us informed and always replied when we had questions. The process was quick and the outcome was better than expected. Dennis was upfront and never withheld information on costs or timelines. I recommend South O and especially Dennis!

South O Roofing did an excellent job roofing our 1920 historic home that my husband and I moved into last year. Dennis was very helpful, honest, and transparent about the pricing, project schedule, and potential issues his crew would uncover with our house, which had been significantly neglected for years. Dennis was easy to contact with our questions and concerns and would always keep us in the loop with how things were going and what to expect. The crew was also very professional by arriving on time, completing the project in a timely manner, and cleaning up the project site extremely well. I would highly recommend them to other people looking to have quality work done. Thank you!

We had excellent service from South O Roofing. Our rental house that we were in the process of selling had manufacturer defective shingles. We needed a total roof replacement fast to meet our closing date. Dennis Smith from South O Roofing took care of the whole claim process of obtaining the manufacturer warranty. Without his help, we would have been lost in the process. Dennis helped us get our warranty settled and made sure a new roof was installed before our closing date. His attention to communicating with us was second to none. I have never dealt with a contractor that was so prompt in returning messages and keeping us informed of the process. They did an excellent job on our roof replacement. They left our yard clean of any roofing materials. I highly recommend South O Roofing and the professionalism Dennis Smith showed us.

We contacted this company for a roofing quote after the Derecho storm in Cedar Rapids. Dennis B came out quickly and even stopped by to make sure we were waiting on his quote to make a decision. I happened to look at his card and noticed they also did siding and windows. We needed both of those things as well as our roof and so I called thinking that perhaps we could get the work all from South-O. THIS IS WHEN WE HAD PROBLEMS! The person who initially spoke to me from the office did not seem to understand what I wanted, so she went to get someone else who proceeded to accuse me of trying to defraud my insurance company. I was totally aghast! I was trying to send this company more business and to be treated this way. I had received the insurance check for the work and was simply eager to get it started and complete. Needless to say we have asked another roofing company to do the roof!
