This is my second Sound Smith Uke. I firstly bought a Resonator Tenor and have just received a spruce top Tenor. They both sound beautiful and represent great value for money. Wombat, who is the gun player in our Uke group has given the Resonator the thumbs-up, a really good endorsement I though. I am very happy with the service to Australia. Well done Sound Smith.

I gotta say, these Sound Smith Ukes are the real deal. I mean, I ain't no expert or nothin', but I know what sounds good and these babies sound real good. I got the Resonator Tenor first and it blew me away. The sound was just so full and rich, I couldn't believe it. And then I got the spruce top Tenor and it was just as good. I mean, I don't know how they do it, but they do it right.

And let me tell you, Wombat knows his stuff. He's the best player in our Uke group and when he gave the Resonator the thumbs-up, I knew I had made the right choice. It's always good to get a recommendation from someone who knows what they're talking about.

But it's not just the sound that's great, it's the value for money too. These Ukes are affordable and you get so much for your money. I mean, I've seen some Ukes out there that cost a fortune and don't even sound half as good as these Sound Smiths.

And let's not forget about the service. I live in Australia and sometimes it can be a real pain to get stuff shipped over here. But Sound Smith made it easy. The service was top-notch and I got my Ukes in no time.

I gotta say, my experience with Sound Smith was pretty darn good. I hopped on their website and hit up Shannon Smith on the instant chat thingy to ask about this instrument I was eyeing. We had a little back and forth and I decided to pull the trigger and buy it.

The payment part was a breeze, no headaches or anything. And the next day, I got a message saying my order was on its way. The tracking was smooth as butter, too.

When the instrument finally showed up, it was just like they said it would be. The quality was top-notch and we were all pretty happy with it.

So, I gotta tell ya, I recently got my hands on an Orange Sound Smith electric guitar from Shannon over at soundsmithgear.com and let me tell ya, it's a real beaut! Shannon was super helpful and easy to get a hold of when I had some questions about the guitar. And let me tell ya, this guitar is a real head-turner. I played it at home for a couple days and I was hooked. But, I gotta admit, I was torn between the orange and the red guitar. I decided to go with the red guitar instead and now I'm just waiting for it to finish being built.

I gotta say, I'm pretty stoked about my purchase from Sound Smith! I picked up a Banjo Uke and let me tell ya, it's a real beaut. I did have a bit of a hiccup when I was trying to use a coupon code, but after shootin' them an email, they were quick to respond and help me out. Nothin' to complain about there.

Shipping was a breeze too. They got it out the door lickety-split and it arrived even faster than the post office said it would. Can't argue with that kind of service.

Now, I haven't had the Banjo Uke for too long yet, but so far, I'm really diggin' it. It sounds great and plays like a dream. The only thing I noticed is that some of the frets could've used a bit more attention during setup. But hey, the action is still nice and smooth, so I'm not too worried about it.

One thing to keep in mind is that it's a bit on the heavy side, but that's to be expected with a wood, closed-back banjo head. And let me tell ya, this thing is loud! Which is just how I like it.

Overall, I'm super happy with my purchase and I'll definitely be back to Sound Smith for more gear in the future. I'll be sure to update this review once I've had a chance to really put the Banjo Uke through its paces.

I've been a fan of their gear for a while now and this electric jazz tenor is no exception. It's my second purchase from them and I have to say, I'm impressed once again. The resonator uke I bought a year ago was also a great purchase and I always treat myself to one of their ukes when I come back from touring with Broadway shows.

This electric jazz tenor played great right out of the box. I didn't have to do any adjustments or anything. It was ready to go and I was able to start playing right away. I've been having a lot of fun playing it through my effects pedals and amp, but it also sounds amazing unplugged.

The frets are finished really nicely and the neck/action is very playable. I can easily move my fingers up and down the fretboard without any issues. The overall body is also finished really nicely. It looks great and feels great to play.

The tuning machines are smooth and seem to be doing their job. I haven't had any issues with tuning so far. However, the output jack collar needed tightening against the body and the barrel seems very snug. I'm hoping with use it will become smoother.

Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase. Sound Smith has once again delivered a fine instrument. I also have a Fender Mustang headphone amp for late night practicing and exploring effects. It's a great combo with this electric jazz tenor. If you're looking for a quality instrument, I highly recommend checking out Sound Smith.

I recently bought a Sound Smith archtop tenor ukulele from soundsmithgear.com and I gotta say, I was pretty bummed with what I got. The setup was all messed up and the quality of the pickup was not up to par. When the instrument arrived, it wasn't even set up properly and the only help I got from Soundsmith was a short YouTube video that suggested I do it myself. I've set up instruments before, so I tried to set the bridge properly, but the intonation was off on the first and second frets by about 10 cents, even though it was accurate in the open position and 12th fret.

On top of that, the single coil pickup produced a hum on every setting except when the Tone knob was in the minimum position. As soon as I moved it even a little bit, the pickup hummed and it got worse as I advanced the tone knob.

When I returned the instrument, the owner Shannon insisted that humming is normal for a pickup and that the setup was perfect. She even charged me for both directions of shipping, even though the ad said it was supposed to be free shipping. To make matters worse, she threatened to charge an additional 10% restocking fee, which would have been more than the shipping cost. The shipping was almost $30, so I'm not sure how that makes sense for an instrument that cost me $267.

I live in Oregon, so I would have gladly gone to their store in Bend if they had just returned the instrument instead of insisting that it was perfect when it clearly wasn't.

So, if you're thinking about buying from Sound Smith, just be careful.
