Airline tickets
On 14 March 2023 I landed at Houston airport while enroute to Calgary. My connecting flight was not leaving til 5:15 a.m. on 15 March (11 hours later). I went to the United Airlines counter to see if there was another flight that would get me to Calgary earlier. The United airlines employee said a direct flight to Calgary was leaving at 6:05 and there were openings. She told me to call Skyroutz and gave me their number. I called Skyroutz and the employee (Asher) said there was a direct flight to Calgary and he would change my tickets. He emailed me the tickets but the plane wasn’t leaving until 6:05 pm on 25 March - so another 11 hours later. I told the Skyroutz employee I was refusing the tickets as these made my trip even longer and I would keep my original tickets. Asher said my original tickets were already sold and there was nothing to do. I said I didn’t want his tickets, he’d extended my traveling time and I wanted my original flights back. Asher said he’d call me back and I waited and waited. Finally I called Expedia and told them what Asher had done and Expedia sent me the original tickets. But when I later checked my Visa card I had been charged $299. Cdn by Skyroutz for tickets I didn’t use. Since then I have phoned Skyroutz and talked to Asher, George (3 times) and Irvine. George and Irvine have both told me that a refund has been authorized but so far I have received nothing. I want my refund, Skyroutz messed this up. I will also be placing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and United Airlines. My name is Gayle Toupin, my phone number is +[protected].
Desired outcome: I want a refund on my Visa card. I have been charged for tickets I refused.
