My partner a i had just got our meal at 17.50 thursday 9th january 2020 when a dog wondered past our table then to the right of my partner it squatted and POOED on the carpet in front if him. TOTALLY SHOCKING. My partner complained plus others too. Another couple had just got drinks saw this happen and they left, we would have done the same if we hadnt already got our food. The owner of the dog was informed and she came and picked up the poo but the carpet was not disinfected or wiped up at all. There was children running back and forth to the machines. We were offered a free drink but did not bother staying in the pub.It put my partner of his food.We were not informed what had been done about the dog or its owners.
This is not the first time we have had issues with dogs wondering around in this eating house, we had one begging for food last year. Also dogs wonder around sunday afternoons and fight amongst themselves whilst people try having a few drinks watching football. Dogs should not be able to roam freely in eating pubs, this is surely a health and hygene issue and needs addressing. Please respond quickly to my complaint many thanks Janet Chappell.
