Sitter.com Unprofessional Sitter Experience with Sitter.com: A Warning to Others

So, I recently hired a sitter from Sitter.com and let me tell you, it was quite an experience. Peggy from Middletown was the sitter I chose, but she was a bit different than what I expected. She claimed to be divorced on the site, but during our conversations, she mentioned being married to a state cop. I found that a bit odd, but I let it slide.

However, things took a turn when Peggy started making passes at my husband. She was persistent, but it didn't work out for her. My husband works from home on some days, and after putting our son down for a nap, Peggy would prance around naked while practicing yoga moves in front of him. She even had the audacity to say, "Oh, I didn't realize you were home." It was quite uncomfortable for my husband, and needless to say, we won't be hiring her again.

I was disappointed with the service provided by Sitter.com. It's a shame that they allow such unprofessional individuals to be a part of their platform. I wouldn't recommend this service to anyone, especially not to single moms looking for a reliable sitter. It's a scam, and I wouldn't want anyone else to go through what we did.

Sitter.com Beware of Scammers on Sitter.com: My Disappointing Experience

I was really looking forward to finding some babysitting gigs on Sitter.com, but boy was I disappointed! This site is a total scam, and I don't want anyone else to waste their time like I did. I had barely set up my account when I started getting messages from people looking for sitters. I was excited at first, but then I started to get suspicious.

One person in particular, a Brandy Conklin, messaged me asking for all sorts of personal information like my address, age, and name. Some of this stuff was already on my profile, but it still felt weird to be giving it out to a stranger. I had a bad feeling about this person, so I didn't respond to their message. And thank goodness I didn't, because it turns out they were just trying to scam me!

If you're thinking about using Sitter.com, be warned: there are some shady characters on there who are just looking to take advantage of unsuspecting sitters. Always read reviews and do your research before signing up for any site like this. And if you get a message from someone asking for personal info, don't respond! It's better to be safe than sorry.

Sitter.com Disappointing Experience with Sitter.com: Wasted Money on Unusable Service

I gotta say, I was pretty disappointed with sitter.com. I mean, I live in a pretty small city, but still a city, ya know? And yet, all the sitters they matched me with were like, an hour away in totally different cities. Like, what's the point of paying for a service if it doesn't even work in your area?

So I called them up, asking for a refund, and they were all like, "Sorry, not sorry, you shoulda checked before subscribing." And I'm like, "Uh, excuse me, I had my account for less than 3 days and you're gonna charge me for the whole month even though I can't find a sitter through you? That's some BS."

Anyway, I'm taking my money to care.com from now on. At least they seem to have their act together. Lesson learned, I guess. Always do your research before subscribing to anything.

Sitter.com Sitter.com Review: Disappointed and Frustrated with Lack of Scam Protection

I just signed up for sitter.com and I was excited to offer my babysitting services. I was pleasantly surprised when I received an inquiry almost immediately after joining. The parent who contacted me gave me a detailed understanding of the scope of work and their needs. They seemed like a nice person and I was looking forward to meeting them in person.

However, things took a turn when the person stated that they needed help urgently because their personal assistant called in sick. They asked me to buy check paper and print a check that they would send through email to compensate me and cover the errands they needed handled. I was a bit hesitant, but I thought it was just a small inconvenience and I agreed to help.

But then I realized that they had given me their phone number in a coded sequence in the initial message to me. That was a red flag for me and I started to feel uneasy. I decided to do some research and found out that this was a common scam. I was shocked and disappointed that sitter.com did not have a full protocol for protecting its members from these kinds of scams.

Overall, I would not recommend sitter.com to anyone. They do not offer legitimate means of communication and they do not have a full protocol for protecting their members. It's a shame because I was really looking forward to using their services, but now I am left feeling disappointed and frustrated.

Sitter.com Babysitting Scam Alert: How I Got Scammed Out of $2,250 and Wasted My Time

I gotta tell ya, when you're lookin' for a babysittin' gig, make sure you write down all the deets. I got scammed, man. This job seemed totally legit - a single mom with a 6-year-old movin' from Cali to Texas, lookin' for someone to run errands and take care of the kiddo. They asked for my bank info and address and date of birth to run a background check, which seemed reasonable enough. Then they sent me a check for $2,250 and told me to use it to pay for stuff like furniture and groceries. I had no idea it was a fake check until a few days before I was supposed to start work.

Thing is, I was in a tough spot. I had just moved from Cali and was strugglin' to find a job. I used some of my daughter's money to cover our expenses, but we were really tight on cash. So when I got that check, I was relieved. But then the furniture company wouldn't accept it, and the scammers told me to buy iTunes cards instead. I did it, but then they stopped textin' me back. And on the day they were supposed to arrive, they didn't show up or answer my calls.

Long story short, I got scammed outta a bunch of money and wasted a bunch of time. So if you're lookin' for a babysittin' job, be careful out there. Write down all the job details, and don't give out your personal info unless you're sure it's legit.

Sitter.com Sitter.com Review: Scammers on the Prowl for Nanny Jobs

So, I decided to give Sitter.com a try for a nanny/sitter job. The website looked pretty legit, being from Canada and all. I got two responses within a day or two of each other. One was from a lady named Candice and the other from a dude named Salomon. At first, I didn't see any connection between the two. They had different pictures, different kids, and different locations. But then they both said they were moving to my city soon and wanted to meet up. That's when things got weird. They both had the same grammatical errors and used the same words and basic format. Plus, they both had a child in a wheelchair and wanted to deduct my wages because of it. Apparently, the wheelchair cost $400.00. I don't know about you, but that seemed pretty fishy to me. I paid $12.00 for a month of access to the site, but I ended up deleting all my information and unsubscribing. I mean, come on! These people are the reason we can't trust the internet. It's just sad. I hope the FBI gets involved and takes care of these scammers.

Sitter.com Sitter.com Review: Outdated Profiles and No Refunds - A Rip-Off Site for Finding Sitters in Northern VA

We recently gave Sitter.com a try in Northern VA to find a reliable sitter for our family. We had to sign up for a subscription to be able to communicate with potential sitters, which was a bit of a bummer since we were hoping for a one-time option. At first, we were excited about the candidate pool as there were quite a few profiles to choose from. However, we soon realized that most of the profiles were outdated and there was no way for us to filter out who was an active user.

Out of the four individuals we were able to get in contact with, two were no-shows after agreeing to come, and one had a criminal record that we found through a Google search. It was a bit of a nightmare search, to say the least. The only candidate that worked out for us was a 15-year-old who had just started high school and couldn't commit to a long-term arrangement.

After this experience, we decided to hire an aupair instead. However, we were reminded of Sitter.com when we got charged the monthly fee. We promptly contacted the site to request a refund since we no longer needed their services, but unfortunately, they did not honor our request.

Overall, we feel that Sitter.com is a rip-off site that charges users for access to an outdated and mostly inactive candidate pool. We wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable sitter.

Sitter.com Beware of Sitter.com: A Fraudulent Company That Preys on Caregivers

I recently had an experience with Sitter.com and I must say, it was not a pleasant one. I had just signed up with Care.com and within a few days, I received two job offers from Sitter.com. At first, I was excited to have found another platform to find babysitting jobs, but my excitement quickly turned into disappointment.

The job offers I received were suspicious from the start. The clients wanted to pay me upfront and asked questions that were already answered on my profile, which I had paid to set up. I did some research and found out that Sitter.com is not a legitimate company. It is not to be confused with Sittercity.com, which is a reputable platform that I have been using for six years.

I was disappointed to find out that Sitter.com is a fraudulent company that preys on unsuspecting caregivers. They use Nigerian scams to try and get you to commit to a job. They offer to pay you upfront to assure that you are committed when they arrive in town. This is a red flag, and I fell for it 20 years ago. I will never make that mistake again.

I sent a text message to Care.com to inform them of what was going on. I told them that if I didn't hear from them within a week, I would file many complaints and cancel my subscription. It is important to do your homework and not give Sitter.com any information or your email address.

In conclusion, I would not recommend Sitter.com to anyone. It is a fraudulent company that preys on unsuspecting caregivers. Stick with reputable platforms like Sittercity.com or Care.com, and always be cautious when receiving job offers that seem too good to be true.

Sitter.com Nightmare Experience with Sitter.com: Uncompensated, Disrespected, and Humiliated. Beware of Red Flags

I've been looking for ways to make some extra cash since I've been out of work for a while. I stumbled upon Sitter.com and thought it would be a great opportunity to provide care for children and earn some money. However, my experience with one particular family was a nightmare. I have never felt so stressed, disrespected, taken advantage of, or humiliated in my life.

Despite the negative experience with the adults, I absolutely loved taking care of the three girls in my care. They were very fond of me and even called me "aunty." It's heartbreaking to think that the children may miss out on quality care due to the irresponsibility of the adults.

To make matters worse, I was never compensated for over two weeks of work. I had to leave the job just to hold onto some of my sanity and integrity. It's a shame that some people can treat others so poorly. I could never treat anyone the way I was treated, and it's a good thing that I have a kind heart. However, I will never allow myself to be treated that way again.

Although I suffered a financial loss, I am at peace and feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I learned a valuable lesson from this experience, and that is the importance of accountability. The family I worked for needs to take responsibility for their actions and treat others with respect.

I would love to be compensated for the money owed to me, but it's more about the principle than the money. I was even willing to accept partial compensation, but to no avail. I urge others to pay attention to the "red flags" and avoid situations like mine.

Sitter.com Sitter.com Review: Scam Alert! Don't Waste Your Time or Money on This Site

This website is not worth your time or money. It's part of Care.Guide.com marketplace, but all it does is take your money without providing any real job opportunities.

I was searching for a babysitting job in the Chicago area for a few months. I started by posting on Craigslist, which got me several job offers. However, I soon discovered a scam. The scam involved receiving letters from people claiming to be wealthy engineers or military personnel who were coming to town with a toddler and staying at a hotel for a month. They offered to pay $20 or more per hour without asking any questions and even offered to send a check in advance for $600 or more. I did some research and found out that this was a classic scam involving a check in advance that causes people to lose thousands of dollars.

Around the same time, I received a message to try sitter.com. I couldn't find any bad reviews, and the site had jobs listed with people's photos and profiles. They were also cheaper than similar sites and covered the USA and Canada, so I decided to give them a chance and became a featured member for $5 per month. I received a welcoming message from John Phillip Green, the apparent chief executive, who is a real person according to his public Facebook profile. I also received other emails with tips on how to use the site, which were all regular things as on any similar site.

However, soon after that, I started receiving the same letters as on Craigslist! Different names, similar stories, and two of them only 5 minutes apart with the exact same text and different names! I wrote back to John Philip Green, asking if there was a place where I could report a scam, but I never received a reply.

I decided to end my subscription, so I did it. In settings and options, there was again the option to click featured, so I was sure I canceled it. I was only subscribed for 15 days, receiving spam only. But when my bank report came the next month, I could see they charged me again, even after I canceled! Not just that, on the first day I subscribed, they charged me the same amount twice in a few minutes! They charged me three times, and I asked for a refund for at least two of the payments. I sent another email, explaining my situation with multiple payments, asking for a refund. Similar things can happen when paying bills online, but so far, with other companies, you can call customer service, see what happened, and get a refund.

But not with these guys. I got a reply that I must have several accounts or email addresses, so it might be that. I didn't want to give any more of my personal information, so I called my bank to block any other requests from that company. Luckily, it worked.

If you type in the address of the company, street view will give you an abandoned warehouse area with no sign of anyone working there.

So, for any next user, you will receive all the formal emails, but not have any results. If you go further, you will lose your money.

I don't know if the Craigslist fraud has anything to do with people on sitter.com, but stealing my money on membership, even if it's $15, with no effort to try to solve my problem and get me a refund, makes them look pretty shady.

Anyone who is searching for the poorest, weakest, the most fragile people, mostly immigrants, who are already poor and have no luck, and no power to strike back, to do such fraud, deserves to be recognized. They count on you not knowing local circumstances well yet, not being familiar with computers, and being desperate for a job.

I've learned my lesson, and I hope this post will show up in Google search to help someone else. I wish I could have found something like this before I signed up there.

Sitter.com Tried to get a sitter job with one of the clients listed

My reason I canceled & deleted my sitter.com account is apparently what most people are saying from what I’m reading, who signed up for the basic plan. Very misleading to say the least. When I received my first message from my first & only potential sitter client, I went to reply back and it said, “You’ve reached the Basic Plan message limit. Upgrade to continue conversation”, which was BS and absolutely incorrect! I only reached out to ONE person, who was also the ONLY one who replied back to my ONE message. The client wanted me to contact/message him back so we could set-up a time to meet his wife & child and I wasn’t able to reply back in a timely manner because of sitter.com’s purposely calculated platform / glitch of a system. Very misleading and falsely advertised. What a shame for the client who’s looking for a sitter!

Desired outcome: Nothing!

Sitter.com Warning: My Experience with Sitter.com - Be Careful Who You Trust

I gotta tell ya, Sitter.com ain't all it's cracked up to be. I mean, sure, there's a lot of sitters on there, but you gotta be careful who you trust. I made the mistake of trusting Rose McCarthy, Nicole B, and Rose Macanto, and let me tell you, it was a big mistake. They all tried to scam me with some story about moving and paying me $400 out of $1400. Yeah right, like I'm gonna fall for that. I reported them right away, and I'm reporting this whole site too.

But even if you do find a legit job on Sitter.com, there's still a chance it could go wrong. I found a job with this guy who turned out to be a total pervert. He was always griping me in front of his daughter, and it made me really uncomfortable. I mean, I'm just trying to make some extra cash, not deal with some creep.

So yeah, if you're thinking about using Sitter.com, just be careful. Don't trust anyone who seems too good to be true, and always trust your gut. And if something does go wrong, don't be afraid to report it. It's better to be safe than sorry, ya know?

Sitter.com Beware of Sketchy Sitter on Sitter.com: A Review

Yo, so I was looking for a sitter for my little ones and stumbled upon Sitter.com. I gotta say, it's pretty dope. I found a lady in Bellport, NY who was advertising her babysitting and nanny services out of her crib. But here's the thing, her crib is in a sketchy area and her own kid is a bit of a troublemaker. Apparently, he bites and hits other kids. Not cool, man.

But get this, the lady takes snap chat videos and pics of your kids and claims they're bipolar or some [censored]. Like, what the hell? That's not cool at all. So I did some digging and found out that other peeps have had similar experiences with her. So, I'm wondering who the hell investigated her?

Anyway, I wouldn't recommend this lady to anyone. But Sitter.com itself seems legit. Just gotta be careful who you choose to watch your little ones, ya know?

Sitter.com Disappointing Experience with Sitter.com: Beware of Scammers and Fake Profiles

Sitter.com is a website that I recently used to find babysitting jobs. I was excited to start working and was happy to receive four messages from parents looking for a sitter. However, my excitement quickly turned into frustration when I realized that all four messages were from scammers. Each message had the same story about the parent moving close to where I live and using cancer as one of their issues. It was obvious that these messages were not genuine and were just a waste of my time.

I was disappointed with the site and the lack of security measures in place to prevent these types of scams. It is frustrating to spend time responding to messages only to find out that they are not legitimate. I would not recommend using Sitter.com as it seems to attract a lot of scammers and fake profiles.

Overall, my experience with Sitter.com was a waste of time and I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a babysitting job. The site needs to improve its security measures and do a better job of screening its users to prevent these types of scams.

Sitter.com Negative Experience with Sitter.com: Unpaid Wages and Theft by Client in San Pedro, CA

I recently had an experience with Sitter.com and it was not a good one. I was hired by a mother of two in San Pedro, California named Nizira Ingles. I worked for her for 13 hours and was only paid $40. To make matters worse, $60 went missing from my wallet while I was at her house and she did not refund me for it. It was a terrible experience and I would not recommend working for her.

On top of that, there was no food in the house for the kids to eat. It was a difficult situation and I tried to help as much as I could, but in the end, I was the one who got screwed over. It's important to be cautious when working with people you don't know, especially when it comes to payment and trust.

Overall, my experience with Sitter.com was not a positive one. I hope that others can learn from my experience and be careful when working with new clients. It's important to protect yourself and your finances, and to always be aware of your surroundings.

Sitter.com Sitter.com Review: Disappointing Experience and Concerns About Legitimacy

I signed up for Sitter.com about a year ago, hoping to find a job as a sitter. I even reached out to inquire about a job, but unfortunately, I never received a response. I was disappointed and frustrated, especially after reading some negative reviews about the site. I decided not to spend any money on the site, as I was unsure if it was a legitimate platform.

It's disheartening to think that a website that promotes job opportunities could potentially be a scam. As someone who is struggling financially, I cannot afford to pay for a job. It's just not feasible for me. I wish Sitter.com would consider asking for payment only after a sitter has completed a couple of jobs. That way, we could be sure that the site is legitimate and that we are not wasting our time and money.

Overall, I am disappointed with my experience on Sitter.com. I hope that the site can improve and become a more reliable platform for sitters and parents alike.

Sitter.com Sitter.com Review: Disappointing Experience and Double Charges

Sitter.com ain't all that great, to be honest. We were lookin' for someone to take care of our little ones, but only one person showed up for an interview. The job was easy, flexible, and paid well, but still only one person showed up. She worked for a few days, but then disappeared without a trace. She even took our housekey with her!

We decided to cancel our subscription with sitter.com after that. But guess what? They charged us twice for the automated fee even though we cancelled. What a ripoff!

My advice? Don't bother with sitter.com. Find yourself a real babysitter the old-fashioned way.

Sitter.com Unhappy and Wasted Time: My Experience with a Greedy Caregiver Website

This website is a place where you can talk to families for free if you want to be a caregiver. But when you want to set a time to meet, they make your messages blurry and make you pay a lot of money to be a member. As a caregiver, I don't like how greedy they are. I've been approached by scammers and strange people many times, and customer support never helped me. This website is not good, and you will feel unhappy and like you wasted your time if you use it.

that people still try to pull these kinds of scams.

I recently signed up for Sitter.com to find a babysitter for my kids. The website was easy to navigate and I was able to find a few potential sitters in my area. I messaged a few of them and received responses fairly quickly.

One sitter, named Sarah, stood out to me. She had great reviews from other parents and seemed very experienced. We set up a time for her to come over and meet my kids. She arrived on time and was very friendly. My kids loved her and I felt comfortable leaving them with her.

Sarah has been our go-to sitter ever since. She's always on time and my kids love spending time with her. I highly recommend Sitter.com for anyone looking for a reliable babysitter. Just be sure to do your research and don't fall for any scams!

Sitter.com Beware of Sitter.com and Careguide.com Scam: Protect Yourself and Report to FTC

Don't use Sitter.com or Careguide.com. Check out what other people have said about them. These companies are part of a bigger group. They want you to pay for a subscription. They will ask for your credit card details. But all the messages you get will be from people like AMY CANDICE. They are trying to trick you into doing something illegal. These companies and the people who run them should be punished. I told the Federal Trade Commission about them. You should too. Let's stop them from doing this to other people.

Sitter.com Beware of Scammers on Sitter.com: My Experience and Warning

So, I had an experience with Sitter.com that I wanted to share. I received a message from a lady who was interested in my services. She mentioned that she was deaf and couldn't call me, so she texted me instead. She was moving from Ohio and needed me to run some errands for her. She said she would send me a check for $2250 and I was supposed to keep my fee of $400 for the week before. That meant I would be getting $400 per week.

At first, I was excited about the opportunity, but then I started to get skeptical. I talked to a friend about it and we decided to look at some reviews of Sitter.com. To my surprise, we found several stories that were similar to mine. That's when I decided to delete my account on the site.

I just want to warn others to be careful when using Sitter.com. It's not a safe place to be hooking up with sitters or nannies. Always do your research and trust your instincts.
