I recently signed up for singlesnet and i have regretted it ever since, its nothing but spam, i met two girls which i started chatting with and for the first few days they were cool and i started to get to like them, and then they went on to tell me how they were out of the country on business as a model or something else and had gotten robbed or something and needed money to get back to the states. After telling me that their parents had died a few months before and they had no friends and had no way to get back to the states and tried to make me feel sorry for them and send them money. I almost fell for this once but a friend of mine told me that it was all a lie and he had heard of people doing this before, but its a big scam to get your money so beware!!!

Unfortunately, I did not do my research before signing on to Singlesnet.com. Thankfully, I did not and refuse to pay for these types of services. I can remember the days when most dating sites were free of charge and so much fun to browse and even connect to another person. Singlesnet may advertise this as a special offer for a short period of time but, what they don't offer you is honesty. No sooner than I finished my questionnaire, I was receiving emails of people who were supposedly interested in me. Impossible! They couldn't have had time to read the profile. There are issues when trying to log in. It continues to take you back to log in when clicking on "My Email". I have apologized in advance in my profile to those who may be seriously seeking a partner. It is unfortunate that finding a companion has even become a business.

I have wrote to singlesnet explaining that i get 90% scam mail from there fake members from all over the united states and other countries, which for the most part are obvious, but they choose to ignore this fact. So they wont be in business for long i am sure. After all its all the fake [censored]ng bots that make them there money by getting people to join so they are just as much a part of the scam by aiding the scammers or are the scammers as well.

    Beware!

I had the same experience as the previous poster, however, with dangerous results. I met a person from that site, and on the second date he gave me a date rape drug while I was in a vehicle with him. I managed to escape by calling 911 and the police and ambulance came, but I will never be the same person I was. I cannot stress enough to ANYONE how dangerous it can be to meet people who you know nothing about. I was too trusting, and I am hard on myself about this, but that doesn't excuse the behavior of a sick twisted individual who is using the internet to lure people and commit perverse criminal acts. I will never again use internet dating. Please be careful and tell your friends where you are going when you go out, and tell them anything that could help the police to find you if you don't check in with your friends by a certain time. Be safe.

SinglesNet.com is another site that says that puts up, in many cases, obviously fake profiles and then uses some automated system to send interest, winks and messages from these fake profiles (in my case, from women), who don't exist. This is done to make you pay. I know this for a fact because I set up 3 different accounts (various reasons why, one being living in multiple places). Don't fall for this. Go to any other big dating site, they are, for the most part, legit. SinglesNet is NOT legit. This must be being done with the owners approval. Amazing. Stay away...

Not being able to talk to the person are persons that you would like to with out paying money and sending credit cards. Why cant those sites be free like free email free profiles and you should be able to respond to the emails for free. I thought this was The USofA - home of the free. You would think they would not want to charge us to pay to talk to people on there sites, so i am never going on those sites and Stay away from SINGLES NET. They will say its free for nonmembers but if your not a paying member forget!!!

I have been on the site known as SinglesNet.com since Februaury,2007. I have had my share of the fake profiles, messages and scammers. I have reported every single one of them. I have met real women on the site abd had some very nice dates out of it. However, these seem to be few and far between. All I can suggest is the user recognise when it is a fake profile. This can be done by recognising the pattern of the words. After just a little time you will see similarities and patterns in the profiles and essays. Also if they don't have a photo, no essay, or if more than an hour away, they get no response from me. I hope this helps some people out. There are some nice women on the site,it just takes patience to find the real ones.

It is hard to join one of these sites in the first place, I too have had trouble with the site, and have removed myself because of fake pictures and scammers. Please go to Romancescams. Nigeria and you will see some of the pics on there and also the site MySpace.com. Women should be aware as well as men that these people are out there, and want to be your very best friend, they are prayers on people emotions, be careful.

This girl uses singlesnet to scam men out of money, She lives in Accra Ghana. She ask for money for everything from plane tickets to false documents. She e-mailed me over 300 times confessing her never ending love and how she wanted to spend the rest of her life with me and also sent me many pictures many with sexual overtones. Her e-mail address is [protected]@yahoo.com. Please put this girl on your list of scammers to protect other men.

    Thank you,
    Dave Meier.

Yep, this site is loaded with scammers & the site itself is a scam, it sends false emails saying that so&so is interested in you, in order to entice you to become a paying member, then your card is renewed automatically @ the end of it's term, so your credit card gets charged for things you didnt authorize... the free membership is useless, you cant correspond with a single member unless you pay...

That's not singlesnets fault. They state that they don't pre-screen people's backgrounds. I feel bad that you got screwed but you did so by unfortunately meeting up with a couple of gold diggers. Although I've not met the right guy I haven't had any problems meeting good men on singlesnet. I just haven't clicked with the right one yet.

First of all you are a idiot! How do you think these sites can operate if the people who administrate them dont make money? Secondly, you are a idiot! Lighten up and stop being a idiot!

Fake profiles, misleading contacts, con artists, I plus on 3 occasions they deleted my essay!?! At least half of the female members are too good to be true--they're fake, I'm sure!! Others are sweaty fat dudes sitting at internet cafes in Botswana posing as American women----yuk!! The thought that I flirted w/these dudes, yuk, yuk, yuk!!! Women that I actually reached said they had similar probs with guys online getting nasty and rude to them. Stick with matchmaker or other reputable sites... it's worth the time to research them beforehand. If they try to bill me a 2nd time--heaven help them!!

SINGLESNET USES DECEPTION BY SENDING FLIRTS FROM PEOPLE THEY THINK ARE RIGHT FOR ME. AT ONE POINT I HAD 22 FLIRTS.ONLY 5 WERE LEGITAMATE. THE OTHER 17 WERE WHO THE SITE FELT WERE RIGHT FOR ME. HOW COULD SOME ONE HALF WAY AROUND THE WORLD BE FOR ME AND I SPECIFIED WITHIN 50 MILES OF ME. WHEN I COMPLAINED THEY SAID THEY WERE FOLLOWIN AGREEMENT, IF I DIDN'T LIKE IT QUIT.NICE ATTITUDE RIGHT.I HAVE REPORTED THIS TO LEGAL PEOPLE WHO ARE GATHERING INFO ABOUT DATING SITE SCAM PRACTICES
