I purchased a pretty comprehensive system in February 2026. ($1,567.64 @ 65% off = $548.67.
I had trouble getting the solar panel to charge the Outdoor Gen2 camera until after my second Customer Service call I decided to lubricate the waterproof seal around the power connector so that the Micro USB plug would seat correctly (no help from Ss CS on this solution).
In May 2026 I lost internet connectivity due to Spectrum outage, and the Doorbell camera would not reconnect. After deleting the camera and attempting to re-install, the camera would not read the QR code on my phone or from a printout. I could read both codes with a Samsung Android phone.
I spent over an hour troubleshooting with Ss CS and then repeating the troubleshooting with level 2 CS. No success.
The camera was replaced (10 days via USPS). Upon installing, the same issue existed and the new camera will not read the barcode from phone or printout.
I have also rewired the base and attempted to add the camera with a new name.
I have escalated the support ticket and was promised a call from their camera support group. A week of business days has elapsed, yet no call.
I contacted support yesterday and was promised a call by C.O.B., but did not receive a call.
Today, when I attempt to contact support, I am told my wait is "less than 2 minutes", but I have waited 15-20 minutes before hanging up.
What terrible Customer Support!
Recommendation: I recommend looking at another DIY Security System vendor.
