Purchased several Sigma beauty brushes, brush cleansers, and makeup in September 2026. After washing my brushes with Sigma beauty foam cleanser and Sigma spa express glove, I noticed paint flecks coming off many of my Sigma brushes. I contacted Sigma immediately with photos of the defect on the brush handles. Sigma denied that there was a manufacturing defect and said the chipping paint was due to normal wear and tear and they would not replace/refund my brushes. I have had makeup brushes for over twenty years that have never had any paint chipping despite multiple washings and normal use. I don’t believe in the quality of Sigma beauty brushes if they can’t even last through two washes and normal use after one month. Please be aware before you spend your money on these poor quality brushes. Sigma does not stand by their brush warranty and can refuse to replace a brush at their discretion.

Desired outcome: I would like a refund for my brushes and I will send them back to Sigma so they can work on quality control. Sigma beauty should be concerned about their faulty product and want to improve their quality of their products.

I have heard back from Sigma’s co-CEO Simone Xavier and she was very helpful. She suggested that the silver specks could be from the Sigma foam cleanser bottle and cap which has a silver coating. She will work with her team to improve the coating on the cleanser bottle and caps. Nevertheless, she is replacing my brushes that had been damaged. Ms. Xavier was very committed to resolving the issue I had and I am satisfied with the outcome. The customer service department needs more guidance on how to deal with customer service issues because they were not helpful at all.
