Sheffield Financial is reporting inaccurate and inconsistent information to the credit bureaus regarding my account. Sheffield has stated in writing that they are not reporting a repossession, yet my credit reports show severe negative reporting including a charge-off and incorrect payment history. Sheffield has also refused to provide written confirmation that the account will be updated properly after payment, while simultaneously demanding payment under a settlement.
I have requested that Sheffield provide written confirmation that once the settlement payment is made, the account will be updated to reflect a $0 balance and corrected reporting within 7 business days, including removal of inaccurate negative reporting that is not verifiable. Sheffield has refused to correct the reporting prior to payment and continues to dismiss the issue.
This is causing ongoing harm and credit damage. I am requesting immediate corrective action and written confirmation of the post-payment reporting updates.
