Seagate Technology I sent my hard drive to this company in April 2022

I sent my hard drive to this company in April 2022. They have given me different excuses on where it is, or they don't know where it is. It's a different excuse every time I call. I paid them $11 to ship it. I paid $70 for the hard drive to *** and it had a warranty with this company.

BOGUS OFFERS, NO CUSTOMER *** and their parent company, Seagate, engage in what appear to be fake offers (1 month Adobe Creative Cloud) with registering their hard drive, and there does not seem to be any actual customer support.Nobody is taking calls when a phone number is available;Online chat abandons you before it can finish taking info, forcing you to start over and over and over again and accomplishing nothing.When you do get someone on phone, they promise an e-mail that never comes.It is unclear whether they make quality products, with no customer support, it does not matter.

Seagate Technology I purchased a 2 TB and 10 TB seagate external hard drive to store ***

I purchased a 2 TB and 10 TB seagate external hard drive to store ***. I am using these drives as my hard drive.
I had a file with all of *** in it. I had spent three weeks creating it. *** got corrupted with this new seagate drive and it deleted all of my data. I spent several hours on the phone with *** from technical support. He told me he could recover my data. He did not. He then told me he will escalate this to second level support and someone would call me withing 24 hours. That was 5 days ago.
I called twice this morning. The first support person said he would transfer me to second level support and instead put me on hold for 20 minutes.
The second person would not help.
In addition, the external drives are duplicating on my computer. This needs to be corrected. Seagate told me it was a computer issue but it is not. I called technical support for my desktop and they reset everything but it did not solve the problem.

Please have a senior support person call me to resolve.

On 11/5, I purchased a 5 TB portable expansion drive from the merchant, only to discover after receiving it this past Saturday that it could not receive files of 4 GB or more in size. Initially, I assumed that this was because the drive was formatted to the "virtual" file format of exFAT, until I re-formatted it to *** and saw that the problem was not fixed. After a Seagate technician had me use the *** tool DiskPart on Wednesday to partition the drive as GPT based on the notion that this would somehow fix the problem (the "list disk" option under DisKPart specified the drive was already partitioned as GPT) and format it again as *** -- a process which took some thirty-one hours -- I eventually noticed through my efforts to troubleshot the drive under Linux that it will only retain the full capability of the *** file system when formatted under Linux without ever being used in a Windows environment. When the drive is used under Windows after being formatted as *** under Linux, the drive will lose the ability to receive files of 4 GB or more in size. This can only mean that Seagate and *** are colluding to use the firmware of Seagate's equipment to sabotage it on behalf of the entertainment industry, based on the premise that limiting consumers to smaller (video) files sizes means more potential profits for the movie industry.

Seagate Technology On the 6th of January, 2022, I was approved for an RMA which stated I was to pay shipping for warranty replacement

On the 6th of January, 2022, I was approved for an RMA which stated I was to pay shipping for warranty replacement. I found this to be unreasonable as this was the 2nd drive I've had fail on me, and requested that I be sent a prepaid shipping label on the same day.After SEVEN days without a response, I followed up on January 13th asking for an answer of ANY kind.Finally, on January 21st, A FULL 15 DAYS LATER, *** did respond positively and notified me that I would receive a prepaid shipping label via email.As of January 26th, I'd still not received the shipping label and emailed again. No reply.As of February 1st, I'd still not received the shipping label and emailed again. No reply.As of February 4th, TWO FULL WEEKS after the label was promised and two days before my RMA would expire, I emailed yet again. No. Reply.I have verified the shipping label was NOT filtered into my spam folder on a daily basis. This is not a possibility. The label was never sent and *** Support has been unreasonably slow in responding, when they've even bothered to do so.On February 5th, I opened another request for warranty service through Seagate/LaCie's website in a desperate attempt to receive help.As of February 6th, my original RMA has expired.As of February 8th, I've still received no response from anybody at Seagate/LaCie.I've maintained a polite and professional demeanor throughout this ordeal, but I am extremely angry at this point. I purchased this supposedly "high-end" solution and this is the second unit to have failed me in a year. Unbelievable. Unreliable. Unhelpful.I demand an immediate response from Seagate/LaCie to resolve the issue by either properly sending me the shipping label or by shipping me a working hard drive.
