We applied for a rental property with SBD Housing Solutions. They used a company called AmRent to gain my credit score. Because I do not have any open loan accounts at this time, my score came back as 0 to SBD Housing Solutions. My score is actually well within the range they required.
Because the system they used was not working to get an accurate score, nor would they let me send them my own documents with my credit score on it. My application was denied. Given that it was their own faulty system that created the problem, I asked for a refund, which they denied.
Given that I actually had the score they wanted, but I had no way of reporting it to them, I contend that I should not have to pay the application fee. It was their faulty system and inflexibility that created the problem.
Desired outcome: I would like a refund due to the fact that we were not at fault for the inability of the company to get my correct score
