Samsung review: Galaxy S26 Ultra - Get yourself 2 cans and a string before wasting your time.
Several years ago, I purchased a Galaxy 20 model phone. I kept it for 3 months and gave up and tossed it in the garbage. I purchased Sony Xperia and never had any trouble. Suddenly, 2 days before I am scheduled to leave the country for a month, my phone went out. I went to my carrier, AT&T and was set up with the New Galaxy S26 Ultra. I was made promises on how improved it was over the Galaxy 20 model, etc., etc. I went on my trip and noticed a few things about the phone I could not correct on my own; so, when I returned, I went back to the AT&T store for help. The most annoying feature is the New Galaxy S26 Ultra does not have the option which will allow you to set a different notification tone for the apps you are using. You get to choose whatever tone you like, but it is for everything. So, when hear the notification sound you have no idea what it is. Is it a text, a news update, voice mail, a weather update, a calendar appointment, etc.? Well God only knows, you have to check. No one in the AT&T store knew how to the set up individual notification tones nor did they believe it was possible to do. I was told it was the number one complaint with everyone who purchased this paper weight. I went to the Samsung support board and was instructed on how to do this, but the options I was to select weren't available. The best part is the Samsung support board, allowed you the opportunity to select the "solution", but nothing else. You cannot reply explaining that their solution isn't viable. So, all in all, you have a [censored]ty phone, [censored]ty support, [censored]ty customer service, and nowhere to turn to. I recommend you purchase a SONY. This is my second Galaxy, and both have been huge disappointments. The worst part is there is no option to speak with anyone, every conversation is one-sided.
Recommendation: Waste of money and time.
