Samsung I will not spend my hard earned money ($1400.00) for something that has to be repaired constantly

My husband and I bought a samsung refrigerator 3 years ago from lowe's. I love the refrigerator until march 2010. The freezer section froze up and to be defrosted manually. I called rick's appliance, a local repair company. The service tech came out and told the door to the freezer wasn't closed all the way and the freezer froze up, plus the icemaker ceased to make any ice. Also, I would see water under the frig at times and I would just clean it up thinking someone has dropped an ice cube.

Two weeks after I manually defrosted the frig, I find water under the frig and on the floor again. I called the service tech and he came out and took the back off the freezer from the inside and thawed the water drain. This is quite a feat to perform this function. The door and the 2 freezer baskets had to come out to repair this drain. Today march 30 I find water under the frig and on the floor. This constant water is annoying and my laminate flooring will be ruined with this constant water standing on it. Does anyone know how to fix this? I have an old amana refrigerator (20 yrs old) that still works like a jewel. We bought this samsung because it was bigger. I'm sorry to say that we purchased this brand if it only last 3 years without repairs. I would like for someone who can help me with this problem. My next step is to contact samsung with a phone call directly. I will not spend my hard earned money ($1400.00) for something that has to be repaired constantly.

This must be tenth "lost cell phone" complaint I've seen today. It's not the companies fault that you lost your phone. Don't blame others for your negligence.

Samsung even the repair man doesn't know what is wrong with this thing

I purchased a Samsung washer and dryer two years ago. Three months ago the pump in the washer needed to be replaced. It took weeks to get the part. Finally the repair returned and replaced the pump. After three months the pump went again. The repairman replaced the pump and after one load of wash it stopped working again. The repair man doesn't know what is wrong.

Samsung useless customer service

our samsung player would not play our new avatar dvd so we called you for the update as the update would not download from your website you sent us a flash drive witht the update on since downloading the update you sent our player will not play any blue ray discs, we have called many times and keep getting the same answer - we will get the tech guys to call you, i have xplained to your customer service that me and my husband both work from 6am to 6pm mon to friday so to call 1 of our mobile numbers - they have not done this- we have paid over £1500 for the tv and the blue ray player around 18 months ago and i am not happy it has gone wrong already - i have been told that because it is over a year old the warrenty will be out i undertsnad that but my arguement is that it has gone wrong since we downloaded a download from you so i dont see how this is our problem - below is a link to the samsung forums and alot of people seem to be in the same boat as us please advise urgently what you plan to do to to rectify our situation as i am definatly not paying for any repairs and i am currently getting my case together for trading standards as i feel let down by samsung not only is your customer service less than helpful - you have no complaints phone line ND NO DIRECT LINE TO THE SO CALLED "TECH GUYS" i feel this is is very disappointing from a worldwide and well known brand name - not only has it cost me money calling you everyday but my time taken to call you.

Samsung missing parts

Just bought the samsung blu-ray play at walmart for $168. Opened it up and all the equipment to make it work isn't in there, no lan adaptor. You have to buy it separately. I went back to the store to get one. Walmart doesn't even sell the lan adaptor in the store. We will have to go to best buy and pay another $79 for the adaptor.Nothing on the box says you need this too till you open it up and try to use it for the first time. Very disappointing! Very misleading because this $168 dvd player is really is actually $247. Totally ridiculous that that is not included! At the very least samsung should make sure that the stores they sell the blu-ray in actually has the pieces parts to make it work. Very frustrating. Totally ruined my 20th anniversary surprise. Thanks so much not!Very disgusted!

Samsung lousy custome service/my extended warranty does not mean anything

We purchased the extended warranty on our refrigerator bought in feb 2008, it has now quit as of 05/09/10, I have been trying to get a repair person out since then, one came out from sears on 05/12/10 but told my husband that he could not work on it, it had to go throught the a&e warranty, whatever that is. Today is 05/19/10, repairman did not come out today because apparently conn's messed up something on the paperwork, and by the time it was corrected, sears was already out of our area and would not come back. I have made numerous phone calls to the service center, talk to several people been told many different things, and... Not one of them has ever returned a phone call. I am done with conns, all I want is my icebox fixed or replaced, I am sick of living out of an ice chest! Charles and sherri smith, [protected].

Samsung avoid them like a plague

I bought their UN55B8000 television based on the specs, the online reviews and Samsung's own website. The screen size and the price point seemed great for us. When it arrived, it was even more beautiful in person. Sadly, the picture quality was awful. I know that electronic devices can be perfect out of the box or DOA out of the box, so I was a bit disappointed when I installed the TV and found out that it wasn't working properly. The backlight was horribly uneven (more than just the typical "edge lit LED screens are uneven" stuff...this was very noticeable on all inputs). Any all-black screen was marred by clouds of white light. Worse, there were digital artifacts around all edges and contrasty spots. It looked like a B&W checkerboard surrounded everything, and it was also visible on all HDMI inputs (Dish DVR and XBox) AND on our Samsung BluRay player. The sound occasionally dropped out, and there were weird all-magenta screen flashes randomly happening. You get the point. This was a defective TV.

Unaware of Amazon's customer-friendly return policy, I called Samsung to take advantage of their in-home warranty service. I'm not going to spend pages and pages ranting about how awful the experience was. I'll just say it was awful. They came out three times (VERY late, two out of three of them) and could not fix the problems. I thought it would be a no-brainer to have Samsung step up and replace the TV with a working model. NOPE! They've given me the run-around for almost two months. They finally said that the service tech had not specifically written "deemed unrepairable", so they could not replace it unless he did. Hours of back-and-forth calls later, they finally deemed it unrepairable, and said they'd replace the TV...except that they apparently do not have any of that model available in any of their warehouses. They told me I should just wait for them to contact me. They do not know when that will happen.

I checked Amazon's site, and they said they'd take back the TV right now and replace it with a brand new one. I've owned other Samsung products in the past, so I'm not overly worried about getting another lemon. I'm just very, very disappointed in Samsung's terrible customer service. It's rare to find a company who is adamant about NOT caring a bit about customer (dis)satisfaction. Google "samsung customer service sucks" for many more stories just like mine...

And again, I have to say that Amazon is a stellar company. Thanks to them for rescuing me from further dealings with Samsung's corporate flunkies!

Samsung nothing, but problems

I have a 2008 samsung lcd 40" model ln-t4069f. I cannot control turning the tv off using the tv controls or the remote provided by hd tv. The average cost to repair is in excess of $350. I have 3 such samsung tv's and am concerned. Up till now I had planned on buying a super large samsung tv for a video center being set up in a custom home currently being built. Now I wonder why buy another samsung product. Perhaps enough unhappy customers will write their attorney generals complaining of defective units and no recall. I found this following summary on another web site for addressing samsung tv problems.

"i had the power problem were tv takes longer and longer to come on and just clicks, eventually it wouldn't come on at all, called a tv repair man and he said it was a common problem with samsung lcd tv's, cost & pound;100 to fix so weighed up the options of buying a new one probably at & pound;500/600 and decided to get it repaired - he replaced 4 capacitors and only took about 25 minutes. Have read a bit more about this problem and seems to surface after about 2 years so maybe this repair will only last this long. "

Samsung pay as you go

Two month ago I bought a samsung m320 on a virgin pay as you. Last friday (May 7th 2010) this phone slipped out of its case and fell a total of two feet onto a gravel surface. When I found it one hour later it was not working. This it the first samsung I have ever had and I can tell you it will be the last. I always used nokia phones before without a problem and on the rogers network. I contacted virgins customer service line and explained what had happened, they told me it would have to go to the manufactuer. I told them that was not good enough, that I work as a general contractor and my cell phone is on site with me every day. As I said I had been with rogers for years and used nokia phones without any problems.
To make matters worse I had a ten dollar credit with virgin that I asked be put on my wifes phone that was bought at the same time. After waiting almost a week I was told that they could not put it on her phone becouse they were in diffrent names. Bought at the same time on same debit card registered at same address, but they can not put the money (My money) on her phone. The only way I can get the money back is to buy another of their fragile phone and activate it. I will never go back tovirgin and went to a rogers store to show them my old rogers nokia and my new samsung. The manager told me that should not be enough to kill the phone, but if I come back to rogers he would give me 40 dollars off a new phone and a 40 dollar pay as you go card. Yes he did put in writing and gave me his business card. Now that is customer service, not like the way I was treated by virgin mobile.

Samsung samsung & axiom_no service and incompetent service department

Samsung's authorised dealer and repairer in the uae, axiom telecom, being unable to fix my mobile phone insist it is a battery problem which, surprisingly, a new battery has not fixed.

Their contact service department do not respond to emails and/or complaints.

In other words, samsung have authorised an incompetent dealer and repairer who do not respond to service problems.

Looking at the web (Which I wished I had prior to purchasing a samsung product) lack of service appears to be the norm from samsung and their authorised dealers (In this case axiom telecom in the uae).

I know what you mean man. I had a problem like that with a Nokia I picked up from them. They did solve it for me pretty fast though. I called a guy at their support center (I think his name was Abdullah), he took care of it personally. I suggest you give 'em a call, their website's got the number (800AXIOM).

Samsung samsung incompetent idiots and horrible phones

We should really be able to pick more than one option under product/service.

I had previously bought a Samsung phone (R450) that I had endless problems with. The phone would shut off automatically, the charge port would randomly stop working, and texting was glitchy even though the phone was made for that specific purpose. Then finally the phone crashed, DEACTIVATED itself, and deleted everything on it. According to my carrier, deleting text messages etc. never actually got rid of anything on the phone. Despite nothing really being there, the phone would still use the memory until it was full and then would crash.

Despite all these issues, I stupidly bought a replacement phone made by Samsung, the Samsung Messager II. The moment I got it home I wanted to take advantage of a few of its features and start adding ringtones, music, and wallpapers to the phone. According to Samsung's own manual all you have to do is plug the phone into the computer with a USB cord and it's ready to use. Not true. The phone requires you to install drivers onto your computer, which has to be done after downloading a program from Samsung's website that ISN'T EVEN COMPATIBLE WITH THE PHONE! Anyone going to the customer service (yet another problem with Samsung) and searching Samsung Messager II wouldn't know the phone is incompatible since an article says to upgrade said incompatible program! Even after I got the drivers to install, the computer still wouldn't recognize the phone and all the phone would do was recharge. I tried just about everything I could think of and the only result I got was a headache.

So I e-mailed Samsung's customer support explaining the problem and asking if there was any possible fixes for it. It took these ###s a week to e-mail me this response, pretty much ignoring my question;

"Thank you for your inquiry. The device that you have is not compatible with PC Studio 3 or New PC Studio."

Wow. . . Helpful! After a week I had pretty much figured out that the program wasn't going to work, but where was the answer to my question?! Maybe I should apply for a job at Samsung. I'd love to get paid for being an idiot!

I never was able to fix the problem and this will be the very last time I ever purchase another one of Samsung's P.O.S products!

Samsung defective parts

I own a samsung ht-tx72 surround sound home theater system. The system is a little over a year old. The system has never been abused nor exposed to harsh environment. Recently it began to shut down after a few minutes of play and then it started to emit smoke. I opened the cover and realized a few of the capacitors had failed and burned. I also noticed there is a removable fuse on the pcb amp board. I contacted the support line at samsung to find out if they would sell me a few capacitors (they sell for about 20 cents ea. ) and a fuse which probably sells for about $2.00 and was informed by the samsung support staff " samsung does not sell parts, " you have to buy the entire circuit board which costs $100.20 and the power supply board for $84.00 + s/h", so they want me to spend almost $200.00 for repairs which do not exceed $5.00. I checked on line and found almost one hundred consumers which are having the same identical problem with several samsung home theater systems. If toyota is recalling their defective cars, why should samsung not be forced to do the same thing. Does anyone smell "ripoff". I will never buy another samsung product again.

Samsung discontinue of 3d ir emitter

I have a samsung hl67a750a1f that is 3d ready! Guess what the 3d ir emitter is no longer available from samsung to enable the use of the 3d format it promises. Called samsung tech support and they did not care about the problem one bit.

They discontinued making the accessory making the 3d feature totaly not operable.
Why did they do this? I think I have the answer and that is to sell you a new 3d tv!

Is this a fair bussinees practice. Other owners should band together to get compensation regarding this big problem samsung does not care about. Mis-representation of a product is a serious thing. To my knowledge this 3d kit from them was only available for 6 months of production. Consumers beware of samsungs practices.

But missubishi is not letting their customers down like this who own dlp hd tv's. They will have an adapter this spring so you can hook up a new 3d blue ray player with this tv but you will still need the3d - ir emitter from the tv to the mitsubishi device. You can purchase glasses and emitter from io displays nsystems.

But what are us consumers going to do to samsung! Lets get together and consider action!

It would appear that Samsung decided that it wasn't in their best interests to support their lines of "3D Ready" TVs regardless of how much it might upset their previous customers. One problem appears to be that the "Checkerboard format" is not one of the formats explicitly supported by the latest 3D HD standards, however at least one other manufacturer (Mitsubishi) has a converter to support backward compatibility with the most current formats and at least one manufacturer (Panasonic) that never produced "3D Ready" HDTVs supports the Checkerboard format in their 3D capable BluRay players. Also, at least one company (TRU3D) sells an adapter kit that lets you work-around Samsung's non-support for their products - its a couple of hundred dollars more than other 3D kits, but that is cheaper than a couple thousand for a new HDTV. So, it is left to the reader to decide on Samsung's motivations for not supporting their previous line of products even though the technology to do so clearly exists.

Same problem, purchased this 61 inch (model HL61A750A1F) TV set to get ready for 3D. Was just presented a 3D blueray player and a pair of 3D glasses made by samsung for this Xmas. Tried to hook everything up and found out that I needed an IR emitter. That of course does not exist! Am extremely interested in a solution here or a contact with Samsung that could resolve the problem. Have a big screen TV with a capability that appearently does not exist. Add my name to the list of disgunted customers. pappybear@gmail.com

Totally agree and thought I was the only one feeling this way.
How can they do this, ...but, they did.
I will never buy a Samsung product again for this is a total ripoff.
I thought I was preparing myself for the future by buying the first 3D compatible TV and now that I want to use it, ...guess what? They suggest you buy their new 3D ready TV's, because, what a surprise! the converter is no longer available and is now discontinued.

I think it's REALLY WRONG when big companies stop caring about customer service like this. They should manufacture a number of them and restock if they sell out! I'll put my name on a list or something! email me at ... "artisticricky@yahoo.com"

You are right I have same problem. I just checked their website to order 3d kit for same model. Now what should we do ? They sold the tv's when feature was not available and when it's available they discontinue parts? What a rubbishh...?
Let's get together for one voice.

Samsung advertisement price not honored

Sears blatantly cheating customers! I was shopping for a samsung refrigerator rf266aepn at the sears.com website on 4/24/2010 at around 10pm pacific time. The price as advertised on the webpage was $1329.99 and 4/24 was the last day for the promotion, and when I added to the cart, it was still showing $1329.99. However, shortly after I read through all the different installation options and warranty options, I noticed my final price has changed to $1899.99. The sears home page was still advertising the 30% off energy star product, and I still see the $1329.99 price being advertised. So I don't understand why i'm being charged the original price of $1899.99. I suspect this is false advertisement and a blatant attempt to cheat the customers. Repeated calls to sears have not help resolved this issue, and one rep even hung up on me.
