Do not sign off until all the work is done and you've verified the work was completed to your satisfaction. Their designs are great (5 of 5 stars), but their follow up is awful (their employees even agree that the communication from their office leaves a lot to be desired - 1 of 5 stars).

They will push you to sign and will promise to complete the work but, in our experience, over a year later we're still chasing them around to have things fixed.

MOST IMPORTANTLY IF YOU'RE BUILDING IN THE *** CREEK AREA: include French drains in the back yard and along all sides of your fence in your contract. The builders, including Ruhl, deny knowing about the flooding issue even though multiple neighbors have reported and documented it. I'm very disappointed in the communication, follow up, and lack of honesty regarding this issue.

Building our home at Ruhl Construction was the best experience ever! We were super excited at first, but also a bit worried it might turn into a big headache. But let me tell you, the communication with their team was just perfect. They kept us in the loop throughout the whole process, from start to finish. And guess what? They even have this cool mobile app that made everything even easier! We were always in touch with their design and construction teams, so we knew exactly when the tile, windows, plumbing, and all that good stuff were being installed.

If you're looking for a new home and want it customized just the way you like it, Ruhl Construction is the way to go. We checked out other builders like *** homes and *** Homes in the area, but let me tell you, Ruhl Construction gave us so much more bang for our buck. They included all the cool design features we wanted without charging us extra. Those other builders, on the other hand, considered those features as fancy upgrades. So, the choice was crystal clear for us. Now we understand why Ruhl Construction is the top home builder in Tulsa!

I bought a new house from Ruhl Construction less than 2 years ago. The air conditioning has completely stopped working. Ruhl says they can't do anything about it. I bought this new house less than 2 years ago, and now the AC is completely broken. The subcontractor who installed it won't answer my calls about fixing it or giving me warranty information. Ruhl's office says they can't do anything and they're not responsible or obligated.

Closed on house on June 4th. Got a whole bunch of stuff that needed fixing, but it's been like forever and they still haven't finished it all. Supposed to be done within 60 days, but it's already May 28th, 2022 and they're still slacking. They even had the nerve to send us a mean email threatening to charge us if we didn't close, but the house wasn't even ready for that. They keep saying they'll send people to fix things, but it's all talk and no action. They blame the vendors, but the owner said they would send someone else if the vendor messed up. Well, surprise surprise, that never happened.

I've tried to contact and work with Ruhl Construction multiple times, but they keep refusing to fix or replace the door. It's obvious from the photos and just looking at it that the door doesn't match. The front door was never properly repaired or completed because it was already damaged before we moved in. Our inspection report from 2/2 clearly stated that the door had a "kicked in" look and was damaged near the lock. According to the agreement we signed with the builder (GTAR signed), they were supposed to repair or replace the door if it couldn't be fixed (as stated in the inspection report). However, in March 2022, the warranty company sent painters to stain the door instead. But the stain doesn't match the "damaged notch" on the door at all, just like it didn't match from the beginning. The painters told us that the putty used to repair the notch can't be stained to match the rest of the door. We made it clear to Ruhl Construction that if they couldn't match it, they needed to replace the door as we agreed before we bought the house. We have all the documentation, photos, and the inspection report to prove our case. Our realtor also remembers this issue clearly and agrees with us.

Ruhl is building a home next door to ours. From the time they started, it has been nothing but a nightmare. The city code enforcement tried to help me, but they weren't able to get very far. First, it started off with every time it rained, our yard & sidewalk would get washed out with mud. 'Cause there wasn't the black tarp in place on normal sites. There was black tarp there from when our builder built the home, but it was broken down and not standing properly. Then, when they finally started having more work done on the home, the construction workers would leave their trash outside, and with the wind, it would fill out yard. I was outside picking up trash from my yard and flower beds daily. After enough calls, where I honestly felt like I was harassing the builder, they finally put up enough tarp to catch the trash - didn't bother to replace near the sidewalk and we still had washout every time it rained. This has ruined our yard closest to their house. Now they had their concrete poured and our yard has concrete all along our yard by their sidewalk and our sidewalk that touches theirs either has mud or concrete buildup. The complete disregard of their work is baffling. My next worry is my biggest since they built the house up. When they grade that yard, they are going to wash our yard out if they do not put in a drain. We have been here over a year with no issues and we can just see the problems building with no resolution.

I got a problem with my homebuilder and need help. Ruhl Construction built my home in 20-21 and we moved in May . We still ain't got the original punch list work done. Also, this May 2022, they identified the one-year warranty work, and they started on those things. Timeline: 4/27/22 - sent a list, via Co-Construct app, of the things that needed to be done. 5/22 - they did a few things, but the rest needs specific trades to come out and do 'em. I followed up on when they gonna finish the outstanding things on 6/22, 6/27, 8/12, 9/13, 9/18, 9/23, 9/26, 10/4 - NO RESPONSE. The work ain't finished, and I can't get a response from anyone at Ruhl. The last contact I had was on Sept 19 when they told me to call if I ain't heard from the concrete trade. I had to reach out to the trade, and he said he don't work for Ruhl no more. I told Ruhl about it on Sept 26, but still no response. Not only that, but I also got paint and stain work that ain't done yet. The painter came to see what was needed but ain't come back, and Ruhl ain't told me when he gonna come back. The only thing left is our windows. The warranty contractor said back in May that the window rep (Pella) gotta come check 'em. Again, nobody responded to me about when or if that gonna happen. They ain't responded to my repeated requests, even after I said I gonna complain to the HBA and ComplaintsBoard.com. I paid a lot for my custom home, and while I know there gonna be issues with building homes, this builder and the experience been horrible. I don't know what else to do. Can you advise me on anything? Sincerely

I'm writing this complaint 'cause I'm super mad and frustrated with Ruhl Construction's slow response time. It took 'em more than 2 weeks to finally get back to me after I reached out. I get it, I'm not their only customer, but seriously, why does it take so long every time? And if they say they'll get back to us, they better actually do it. I feel like they don't care about us at all. Let me give you an example: I've been asking for ages to change the light switch and door in the laundry room. Finally, when they addressed it, weeks later mind you, the drywall was already up. Now they're telling me it's gonna cost me more 'cause of their delay. That's not fair at all! I've been bugging 'em with phone calls, texts, and even through that co-construct app, and they still didn't fix it in time. I'm still waiting for a quote, but I already know it's gonna be more expensive now. I have other issues too, but I can't fit 'em all in this review. I'm really trying to be understanding 'cause I know they're busy, but come on, 2 weeks for a response? And I shouldn't have to cry just to get a call back. I even saw a private message where they said I was wasting their time. They deleted it later, but seriously, shouldn't they be urgent about fixing these problems so we don't have to tear things down? This is costing me both time and money, and it really hurts that they feel this way considering how much I'm investing.
