Rover review: Think twice before hiring Kierra C. - Cibolo, TX

Do not hire Kierra C from Cibolo, TX. Very unprofessional. I booked in advance for her to watch my fur baby. I let her know where I was staying as I asked for a pick-up being that I had a schedule of activities that required me to travel. On the day of travel, I reached out to her as she was past her pick-up time that had been arranged. She did not even have the decency to call me to let me know anything. After I had messaged her, she messaged back about 10 minutes later asking me to verify my address. I did and she said that she did not feel comfortable coming to my address and was going to cancel. Since I newly re-located to TX from another state, I was staying in a hotel on PCS orders. I told her that I had planned on meeting her outside, right in front of the hotel. She did not respond and moments later, I received a cancellation requests. Very frustrating as I had to start all over on short moments notice to find another sitter before my travel. Needless to say, it was a huge inconvenience and very unprofessional with the lack of communication. I initially chose her for her "Star Sitter" rating. Rover.com only has an animal emergency POC number in the event that the animal is in danger. There was no customer service number to reach out to for quicker assistance. Rover is a good service to know is available, but I don't know what happens in the event where the sitter cancels last minute. Also, if a booking is canceled, you are not able to leave a review. Just beware of Kierra C's unprofessionalism if she does get hired.
