Canada Revenue Agency reviews and complaints
Total shame & inefficiency of Canada Revenue Agency
Over SIX WEEKS & counting, Canada Revenue Agency still fails to provide me an updated Tax Free Saving Account contribution room number. I have no clue why CRA, with all their powerful staffing resources, authorities & lots of fancy high tech computers, money/tax experts & equipment could still fail to update my simple & straight-forward, non-complicated TFSA info. THIS IS ALREADY THE SECOND QUARTER OF THE CALENDAR YEAR & CRA HAS SUPPOSEDLY RECEIVED ALL MY 2024 TFSA information already by Feb 25, 2025 by my TFSA bank administrator as I was told if no one was lying to me. Furthermore, all banks were supposed to have submitted such full information from 2024 to CRA NO LATER THAN Feb 28, 2025
Total shame on CRA for this kind of inefficiency & account update delay, causing taxpayers such as myself mush inconvenience, time & money loss as I will not dare to risk to take advantage of now bygone savings competitive rates WITHOUT THIS TFSA UPDATED INFORMATION FROM OUR CRA!

Ignored my service complaint & no call back to a member of the public
I spoke to a Canada Revenue agent named Stephanie with staff number (? if this was all genuine) 2158AT (private) on March 3, 2025 & she repeated told me the same information over & over again that CRA has not received my Tax Free Saving Account information whatsoever from any bank still & they have therefore no such information in my SIN number & my name being processed for 2025 TFSA contribution room updating.
I was forced to keep repeating to her that the TFSA auto service system which I was checking on almost daily since mid-Feb, 2025, has had no updated information to tell me my most updated TFSA contribution room. All banks were supposed to have submitted their 2024 TFSA information to CRA by no later than Feb 28, 2025. I also told agent Stephanie that the bank that I withdrew TFSA funds in 2024 has been given me quite inconsistent time frame information & they claimed to have sent their 2024 TFSA information to CRA ranging from mid-Feb to end of March, 2025.
I was unsatisfied about service I received from Stephaine & I requested her Supervisor to contact me. Stephanie took quite a long time with multiple holds to fill her so-called ' call back request'. Finally Stephanie told me her Supervisor should call me back by 'end of tomorrow' (March 4, 2025).
I received no call whatsoever up to today's date, March 10, 2025. When I think back, Stephanie seemed so very evasive & resistent when I requested to be connected to her Supervisor. I have a strong feeling that Staphine was pretending to be filling out & sending out that ' call back request' for me & she actually never did. What a shame!

Almost ONE MONTH now since Oaken Financial claimed to have sent my 2024 tax free saving account information to Canada Revenue Agency, I was very much surprised & totally disappointed to find that CRA STILL DOES NOT HAVE MY UPDATED TFSA information so that I can make some much much delayed already investment/savings decision.
I rely on this CRA updated information every year so that I will not run into a heavy over-contribution penalty dilemma by CRA despite I have pretty good & well organized information of my own. I need to rely & know that my numbers are all correct & 100% consistent with those held by CRA.
Many previous years I was able to get my updated TFSA information by mid & no later than end of February. I have no idea what reasons CRA has for so much delays this year & still not giving me my updated information for 2025.
Maybe the more bulky CRA has become, the more inefficient & bureaucratic they become & consequently, a fine, well intended TSFA program has become increasingly lack of its original effectiveness & updates are increasing inaccurate as they took soooooooooooooooo long & STILL NOT available!

Went to tax court - over contributed to retirement savings plan several years ago - - gave my story to the judge - the 2 people from revenue canada there told they judge she could not show any leniency in this case i would have to pay the amount i was over - is this what is allowed in this country to tell the judge what she can or cannot do! In 2007 i was informed 1 had over contributed to retirement in 2001 - they wait 6 years did not realize - i had 6 years of contribution room why did they not let me know in 2001 - now they want me to pay 5500 dollars to them - i have not contributed this plan or any other in 14 years - these people at revenue Canada are getting awy with this - i worked 38 years i dont need this disgrace!
