Republic Services Missed pick

On Friday 23/2022

My garbage can was literally passed. The operator operating truck 2193 pick up my neighbors garbage cans when it came to mines operator just drove passed my Brown Garbage Can. Im not sure what this operator issue was but its not fair that im paying 120.99 to have my service skipped. Whats the point of paying for this service. Your workers are not doing no hard labor all they do is push or pull on a lever so a machine can lift up the garbage cans. Please fix this problems, or go and take a look how a garbage man operator works by visiting San Francisco Recology workers do it. They actually doing hard labor they get out of the trucks and pull the garbage cans. While your drivers stay inside their cabs and push/pull lever for machine to do their job.

Desired outcome: All i want is for your workers to do their job properly. Check your drivers records and maybe disciplined. Maybe they'll learn.

Republic Services Billing inquiries

I've been calling the cust service number since Aug. 1st Originally called to find out when our HOA service agreement expired only to find out that they auto renewed for for 3 years. I was told that I could get a better rate and that someone would call me back. I've called again on 11/17, 11/28, 12/2, 12/14, 12/21 and have sent 2 emails and still NO ONE will call me back regarding the HOA community monthly service plan.

Once I get out of this contract, I will never do business with them again.

Please help.

Desired outcome: I want my monthly rate reduced and a credit on my bill since Aug since they no one can call me back.

Republic Services Billing statements

I had been a customer of Republic Services since 2006. Canceled my service in July of this year. In the past 11/2 years my bill has gone up significantly. I have called several times. My last billed I paid was $223.21 for 1 trash barrel per week. For each bill I received, in this time period, it has increased. I have repeatedly called and asked for an explanation and was given 2 answers: #1- door to door service, #2- area where I live, neither one is true. Also, I was supposed to receive a check for $174.43. Called 10-20-22 to see why it wasn't received. Was told there was never a request from the company and would be submitted again for payment. As of today, 12-6-22 another call was made for the same reason. It was going to be re-submitted again. This has been going on way to long. Thank you. Janet Lewis

Republic Services Trash pick up

We didn't get a trash pick up as scheduled on Monday. We called on Wednesday and was told they would pick up Thursday. Here it is Friday and still no pick up. Trying to get through to an agent is near impossible. The two days that we have called we've been on hold for over an hour every time we call. The two times that we actually got through to a person, we couldn't get any answers as to why we didn't get the pick up on the original day. Today when we finally got through to an agent, he sent us to another person that wasn't even someone that could help us. She sent us on somewhere and then once again sat on hold for 30 minutes with no help.

Desired outcome: I just want my trash dumpster dumped.

Republic Services Trash pick up

I received a phone call on Wednesday morning 11/30/22 that my trash was going to be late because they could. This is the third time that they have been late in picking up my trash. The only time that they were on time was the day before Thanksgiving. I have placed a missed pick up on there website and called them twice. I will tell you I was not very nice. In fact I yelled the second time because I was told the trash would be picked up by 6:00 tonight and it hasn't been. I have been lied too and I hate liars. I expect half of my payment back because they are not doing there job. I have paid for three month's in advance. The total was $100.00 plus for the service that isn't up to par. The date is 12/01.

Desired outcome: Trashed picked up on time and half my money back.

Republic Services Over charges

this company is a total rip off. charges on the bills are confusing, doubled up, and simply non sensical. try and deal with them and you will get no where. we moved our store location 2 blocks, and they charged us over $500 dollars to pick up the container and move it to the new location, and than added a 29 percent fuel charge. when you have a good customer such as we are, we pay our bills, and you treat us like this. We will be looking for a new service company asap.

Republic Services Curb side pick up

Garbage Techs came storming up the street to pick up my curb side garbage pickup, honking at neighbors to get out of the way total road rage. My neighbor commented to me that they were mad . Checked with Republic before placing cabinets and appliances and recliner as described on street. Techs claimed it was construction materials, no way,would not pick up left on street for me to pick up. Blocked sidewalk with garbage and never came back. Complained to main office they did zero nothing left me stranded.

No wood is allowed during curbside pickups. including couches or cabinets. They told me I could leave cabinets out then did not pick up 4 small cabinets. They are not trained to be friendly with customers be careful what you say.

Republic Services Not picking my bulk trash up on those days

Every time it is bulk trash pickup for my area, the drivers seem to pick and choose who to pick up. I have talked to my other neighbors and they have gone through the same thing, drivers pick and choose ! I have not had large items and any boxes I put out are all broke down. We just put out a small pileof palm tree branches that my husband cut to short pieces to make it easy and they drove right by our house and my neighbors house that had the same thing, but yet they picked up the neighbors bulk trash of large furniture ! My husband called and basically was told to file a complaint. This is getting so old. Our account is always paid so no issue !

Desired outcome: We just want our stugg picked up and not passed up every time ! We follow the rules to bulk trash so their is no reason why it can't be picked up

Republic Services will not stop charging me and will not pick up container.

My name is Anthony Thomas and I am the pastor of a local church in Conyers Ga. I notice that my bill would be as high as 50% more each month for no reason at all. So we decided to cancel the service. A month later the canister is still on our property and they are still charging us, although there's nothing in the dumpster. Eventually we get someone who tells us that the who supposed to cancelled the service never did and that we would have to pay a $4500 early termination fee. They are scammers and I'm wondering how many people have they scammed. I just want to rid of them!

Desired outcome: I just want them to come pick up their dumpster and terminate my service with them.

Republic Services Unauthorized credit card charges

On Aug 24, 2022 I requested via online message that due to cost I wanted to cancel my service (Pierson, MI) effective immediately. Also on Aug 24, 2022, I stopped auto payment and deleted from that account all credit cards attached to the account. On Sept 9, 2022 a $178. charge was withdrawn from the deleted credit card. I messaged again to ask that the money be credited back to my card and was told I was not allowed to cancel via message, I HAD to call and speak in person to someone per policy. I read said policy that cancellation could be made by calling. It did not say it MUST be made by calling. Also cancellation would only be done at end of full month. I spoke to a person on Oct 3, 2022 to cancel effective end of Sept., scheduled bin pick up for Oct 12, 2022, agreed to a $30 charge for pick up and could then expect a credit. As of Nov 10, 2022 I have not rec'd the $78.78 credit and am told they can't credit my card which is no longer on my acct. I would get a check once processed in 6-8 weeks. When I repeatedly question how the original $178 was charged to a deleted card with no auto-pay, and money due me couldn't be credited I cannot get an answer. I am so disappointed in the customer service and what I consider a theft of the original $178.

Desired outcome: I believe I should get credited the entire $178. that should not have been charged on a deleted card, leaving money due of $99.22 after check of $78.78

Republic Services Lack of service that I am pay them for

This week our dumpster started overflowing with garbage from the building. I called Republic on Wednesday morning (11/9) and discovered that our trash pickup had been missed by them since the end of October. I requested a missed pickup service, was told they would try to get to it that day. Later received an email that it would occur on 11/10. When I spoke to the customer service rep, I was very clear on the times that access would be available (7AM to 4PM).

Thursday came and went with no pickup. I called about 3:30 Thursday afternoon and was left with the feeling that I was going to be up the creek without a paddle. I was told the truck was still 13 stops away, which easily meant at least an hour and a half. I told them that I would wait at the building so that they could get the access they needed to empty our dumpster. 6:30 came and went and still no pick-up. I came in this morning at 6 to check if for some reason they had come later and to get the gate opened, but the dumpster is still overflowing with this weeks garbage waiting to be put into the dumpster so that they can be removed, also.

Desired outcome: I want the service that I am paying for - trash picked up and at least 3 days credit for the known missed days.

Republic Services Disabled customer assistance

This has been an ongoing issue since we made a request to have bags of clippings removed... And were fed bull [censored]... Until we were put in contact with the main offices in phoenix and they straightened the vegas management out: specifically charles ratcliff.. Operations supervisor, who came to our door & lied to my face.

Ever since it appears to be a case of them getting even with us...

About 3 - 5 days ago I emailed them again as both our trash cans were supposed to always be returned to the house, but only one was... Fortunately the neighbors have been helping on a regular basis... A

T one time a trash can was dropped off 1/2 block away.

Today 11/10/2022, neither were returned to the house. We require this service because we are all disabled... My wife has to use a walker... My sister-in-law lives with us, as she's blind in her left eye with only 20/40, in her right.

I have copd with diabetic nephropathy to both feet and on oxygen; limiting the distance I can walk.

"here we go again"

The last time we had so much trouble I became so angry, I contacted someone else : our city mayor, carolyn goodman ~ then messaged everyone up to and including ~the president of the united states.~

Republic Services Trash collector

We live in City of Palos Heights, our City has a contracted price with Republic to do our whole city for an agreed upon price. Because our mailing address isn’t the same Republic took it upon themselves to raise our prices without any explanation or notification. This resulted in them overcharging us by over $7000 for last 10+ years. Due to greed by our rate getting crazy high we asked our neighbors how much was their garbage costs? This Is only how we realized that Republic wasn’t charging us the correct rate. Now they only want to return $1547 of the $7000 overpayment. When their contract expires in our City. I will do everything in my power to have our City change garbage collectors.

Desired outcome: Refund us the proper or close to the proper overcharge amount. Stop blaming everyone else but themselves and return phone calls and emails. Eliminate the past due notices when we are actually owed a lot of money.

Republic Services Their contracts are scams!

We have had service With Republic Services for over 10 years. Recently after the pandemic rates started going up substantially which led us to finding someone else locally. A family owned waste management company for our services instead. They were willing to provide the same services at 1/2 the costs. So we signed with them. I contacted Republic Services to let them know that we were canceling our service with them and was given instead of a thank you, a $5000 bill for interruption of services. They did not make it clear to me that in 2021 when the city of Chicago made it mandatory for us to have a recycle dumpster, that the agreement for the recycling renewed all contracts. How scandalous is that?

Stay Away From Republic Services!

Republic Services 22 A Iron Gate Dr. Waldorf, MD.20602 Driver not providing service as requested.

Catholic charities it my tenant located at the address noted and this is not the first time I have had to complain. For the past two winters I have had to pay a contractor to come on site and replace the gate wheels because your diver was too lazy to get out of the truck and open gates in order to get access to the dumpster. He was using forks on the truck he uses to pick up the dumpster to open gate which caused too much pressure on the wheels they broke.

Republic Services Cancellation Fees

I cancelled my services because competitor's rates were much better. I received a letter a couple weeks later that I would receive a credit of $81.18. Two weeks after that I received an invoice for $15.61. They charged me $60 to remove my trash and recycle cans, 30.84 for fuel, and 5.95 for Admin fees. They never mentioned these fees when I cancelled or even when I first signed up at point of sale. I called their customer service and they agreed to take off one trashcan fee of $30.00. They said the fee policy is on the back of the invoice. I looked and there was no mention of these fees on the invoice. I told them that and they said I had to check another paragraph where it shows the company website, go to the company website and there the fees will be. This is unacceptable and obviously a penalty against customers that leave. I can be reached at [protected] or [protected]@gmail.com.

Desired outcome: I would like my originally promised credit of $81.18. I would also like for them to put their actual fee schedule on the back of the invoice.

Republic Services Refund due

To Whom It May Concern;

On 07/18/2022 we cancelled our service at 501 First Avenue, Ottawa, Illinois 61350 as we have relocated out of state. At that time we were given the confirmation #[protected] and advised that we had a refund of $501.56 however, you were going to charge us $36.30 to pickup the garbage container, which would make our refund be in the amount of $465.26.

I called today and spoke to Bobby, and she advised me that there had been no pickup charge added to the account, which by the way is hard to believe that you folks haven’t picked it up yet and we have been gone for over a month.

She told us that once the container is picked up, which can take 6-8 weeks for our refund to be issued.

Republic Services Lack of services

In September 2022, my recycle was not picked up for a month. There was no communication. I called customer support and was told Republic Services had a truck break down. What I don't understand is, why the company didn't use other trucks to service my neighborhood. I was told the recycle would be picked up the following scheduled recycle day, but it wasn't. A couple neighbors call to complain and were told different stories. So basically, we were being lied to. I was told a operation manager would call to arrange a pick for me. No one called.

After most people put their recycle bins away, a truck came around my neighborhood on a Tuesday, our pickup day is Thursday, and picked up recycle for those people who had their bins out. Again, there was no communication.

On Thursday, 10/13, my garbage wasn't picked up, yet all my neighbors were. Why? Not picking up trash, recycle and yard waste causes litter and filth in neighborhoods. I will be writing to the Mayor of Kent about this situation.

Desired outcome: Pick up my garbage tomorrow, 10/17, provide better customer service and be compensated for the lack of services.

Republic Services Breach of contract, continued missed pickups

For several weeks we my entire street has been skipped. They have skipped my house even after they picked up others on this street. If no resolution can be found I will have no chiose but to file suit against this company. You have been warned in the past about this issue. You have missed pickups 3 weeks in a row. 2 years I have has this company. You have missed my trash in that time 8 or 9 times.

Desired outcome: Stop missing my pickups, compassion for continued missed pickups. I shouldnt have to pay if you cant do the damn job.

Republic Services Employee

Good evening,

Someone I know closely works for Republic Service in Tampa, FL. There was a recent hurricane in Florida that caused major devastation and created a wave of financial hardship for many. Instead of this company not only helping with relief, they closed for several days during the storm. The emplyees actually showed up to work and were sent home. Now they are told they will not be paid for storm days. These are full time employees who are not being paid and told to use their PTO if they want to be paid for days that there was a closure and they showed up to work. Can someone please answer to this policy?
