What a joke! They spent 1 year with almost no communication and no progress. I think they delay to get a higher total amount of money because their money is based on a percentage of your accumulated back pay. The longer they delay - the more they get.
I found another organization (Hill and Ponton (HAP) - unfortunately a bunch of lawyers) to try and help me and "fired" RPV.. No problem they said. I asked for a letter of release from them which they promptly sent which I sent to the VA. Thank you. Then my new company (HAP) wanted a letter from RPV saying that I owed them no money. I said that I didn't because they only get paid if they win, which they did not.
Now the fun begins. RFV will not send a letter saying that I owe them no money, although our relationship is closed and so is their representation with the VA.
No way no day. I don't owe them a dime, now or in the future, but they will not put that in writing, and the new company will not proceed without that assurance from them.
To hell with both of them. I'm going to a local VA accredited volunteer rep in town and start over.
I am 79 with severe health issues. My goal in life now is pull the rug on REP For Vets, they are anything but that. It's not just me - read the reviews.
