- 29th of Jan. 2020 morning 7.49am-9.30am Australia Sydney Airport
- Booking Ref: [protected]
- On the 25th of Jan. 2020, I have booked a rental car on Rentalcars.com picking up on the 29th of Jan. 2020 at Sydney Airport Australia at Europcar counter. When I confirmed my booking for 2.5 months at Rentalcars.com the car type was Toyota Kluger or smiliar and it has been promoted very heavily on its website.
When I tired to pick up the car at Europcar Sydney Airport counter, I have been told Europcar has never had such car Toyota Kluger available for rental at all, instead they were trying to replace Toyota Kluger to Isuzu Diesel SUV, according to Europcar that both are similar car.
I believe people with slightly common sense and understanding of the car would not take both of them as similar type of cars? When I called Rentalcars in front of Europcar counter, the consultant from Rentalcars had to ask the Europcar counter to repeat four times and spell the brand name of the car, that Europcar was trying to replace for me enable to know the car's name and brand.
According to my experience with Rentalcars today, my questions and needs were as below:
1. Rentalcars should be punished by allowing Europcar false advertising on their online platform, lying to the viewing customers with cheap rate better car which they never had or intended for rental, luring customers to use their service and booking car through Europcar and covering the dodge business and scam advertisement online by deliberately using the borderline term as 'similar' and leaving ambiguity for later usage of customer complaints for replacing cars.

2. Since Rentalcars is collecting all my fees for this entire booking, Rentalcars would be have responsibilities for whoever using its online platform as marketing promotion materials and advertisements, instead Rentalcars told me that they had no control of who or what those individual companies advertising via their online platform.

3. I have to cancel my booking at Sydney airport Australia, since I refuse to accept the car that Europcar was trying to replace for me and they would have different size and type of cars offered however refused to review the price that I have paid and lowering the costs since the difference.

4. I have tried to get onto Rentalcars website and collecting evidence on how they allowed false advertisement from Europcar, they took the promotion car off from the website, if they were so confidence that they would have the promotion car as originally posted online anytime later, why secretly took off after my confrontation today and if they were so confidence on customers would agree on the term of 'similar' car, why took off from the website?!

I want to be refunded and compensate with:

1. Rentalcars has deducted fees for 3 days of rental US$92.99
2. Taxi that I have to pay due to no rental car available at the airport for AUD$50
3. My international call to UK Rentalcars from Sydney Australia AUD$20

thanks
Annie
