Remi Wall Mount Fan – Damage under warrenty period

I wish to bring to your notice a grievance regarding a product purchased from Sri Krishna Fan House, Trunk Road, Nellore. On 02.11.2024, I purchased one Remi wall-mount fan from the said dealer.

After a short period of usage, the fan suffered a serious defect wherein the head portion broke, resulting in the fan detaching from its wall stand and becoming completely unfit for use. Considering that the product is still within its warranty period, I approached the selling agency, Sri Krishna Fan House, and requested necessary repairs/replacement under warranty.

However, to my surprise, the agency categorically refused to entertain the claim under warranty, stating that the damage would not be covered. They further informed me that the entire cost of repairs would have to be borne by me, the purchaser, despite the product being under valid warranty coverage.

This refusal appears to be in clear violation of the terms and conditions of warranty as applicable to the product. I therefore request your intervention to direct the concerned dealer/manufacturer to honour the warranty, arrange for repair/replacement of the defective fan at no cost to me, and ensure that such denial of genuine warranty claims is not repeated in future.
