I've been renting from Real Property Management Express for more than 2 years at 2 different places they handle, and the staff has always been super helpful and friendly. They're fast at responding to maintenance requests and always have a great attitude and willingness to assist. They really care about their properties and always keep the lawn and community areas clean and well-kept.
The rental experience with Real Property Management Express was the absolute worst
The rental experience with Real Property Management Express was the absolute worst. This so-called "management" group always tries to blame others instead of taking responsibility themselves. Their move out process is a total scam. According to their rules, even if you provide them with a receipt from a professional carpet cleaner, they will still charge you for carpet cleaning because they can't decide if it meets their standards. But they still insist that you must get it professionally cleaned. They will also charge you for property cleaning, even if you cleaned it thoroughly. While we were living there, the homeowner decided to sell the property. RPM took forever to communicate with us, leaving us very little time to find a new place. They also delayed informing the property owner about our move-out date, which caused a delay in the owner's sale. The buyers were planning to replace the carpet with hardwood before moving in. At first, RPM wanted us to pay for carpet cleaning. It took countless phone calls and escalating the issue before they finally understood that it was an unnecessary charge. That was the only thing they were willing to negotiate on, but only after a ridiculous amount of back and forth. This company doesn't care about their tenants or their property management customers; they only care about making money. I would gladly pay more just to avoid them.
This company manages*** apartments
This company manages*** apartments. I'd give this place a zero if it were possible.
Positives: The remodeled apartments do look nice on the inside.
Negatives: MANAGEMENT. We called and had a lease signed to move in July 1st, 2 months in advance. The week before, I called to make sure everything was still okay for us to move in, they said yes. On July 1st, I got a voicemail asking if we could move in on the 5th instead because they weren't ready. No, we moved halfway across the country and had already scheduled the POD. So my husband gets the keys at 4pm even though we had been told noon and asked which one is for the garage. Jack told him he would get it to him later...Later never came! We had to go to the office and show them on the lease where we got a garage and their response was we don't have one. This was the first time they broke the lease. There was a hole in the ceiling of one of the bedrooms for 15 days, and maintenance men would walk in without knocking, the second time breaking the lease. We have also found cigarette buds in the hallways and laundry rooms, breaking the lease once again. When we asked them to address this, Zoe said it's the construction workers and their contract is up soon. I found this infuriating because I'm a stay at home mom, I've seen those workers go outside for a smoke break, never in the laundry room. There have been many other wrongs, there's just too many to list here. We have asked numerous times for them to fix things or to let us out of our lease and they just blame each other. Zoe blames Jack and vice versa without getting anything done.

My apartment was broken into on 8/29 while I was in the building and only gone for one minute
My apartment was broken into on 8/29 while I was in the building and only gone for one minute. Since then management hasn't reached out to me, they've ignored multiple requests. I requested they replace the locks on my patio door multiple times which they still haven't done almost a month later. My mailbox keys were stolen during the theft, and they haven't replaced the lock. I've contacted them four times about this issue, and I haven't received mail for a month. There've been four break-ins in the building in the last month and they haven't done anything to increase security. They haven't been notifying residents of crime, and actively denied what happened to me to other residents who asked. I don't feel safe here anymore and they're trying to make me buy out my lease to leave. All I want is to be able to move somewhere safe as I can't afford three months rent to buy out.
