Home Warranty Services I promise you it’s a scam. They will respond to this with some excuse. I have done my homework and can 100 percent guarantee they are criminals.

They scare you with a fake letter using a little bit of info they can get online such as your mortgage company. First guy is very personable and well spoken (“Dave Hill”). They insist you can pay now and get money back in 30 days if you change your mind. Then they transfer you to a very rude person with a very low quality phone who needs you to verbally say you “authorized the payment you already paid for which is VERY bizarre and I should have known better. They never send any confirmation info at all. We cancelled card immediatly and reported the fraud and got money back. I called later to “cancel” my made up policy and surprise surprise they are unbelievably rude and will NOT take no for an answer. I had to tell him 5 times in a row there’s nothing he can say to change my mind. I asked him if he knew he worked for a scam company. He gave me a very neutral response and asked how I knew. I told him an easy google of the phone number revealed the history of scams. He didn’t acknowledge. I then asked how they could steal from vulnerable people and he hung up.

Look up on YouTube this situation. It was on the news a while back and the exact letter they send you is on the news clip. 100

Percent scam artists no matter how good they are at explaining suspicious things. Please do not give these soulless criminals your hard earned money. I have verified completely how fake this entire operation is. I will say I’m impressed at the overall structure but please believe they are stealing from you. And to the fake response they give this I give you a big middle finger salute and want to leave you with one question.. how do you sleep at night knowing you prey on innocent pure vulnerable people in the process of getting a new house during hard times. What would your mother think if they knew how much of a criminal you became?

Recommendation: PLEASE do not pay these criminals

Home Warranty Services So, I got this letter from Los Angeles County about my home warranty from a private lender

So, I got this letter from Los Angeles County about my home warranty from a private lender. They said it might be expired or already expired. The thing is, I live in a transitional housing unit and I'm not even the property owner. I don't have a mortgage or a warranty agreement with any company. If someone else in my unit got this letter, they might have fallen for it and wasted money they needed to survive. It's not funny, and I hope you're not just trying to scam people. Imagine if it happened to someone you cared about.

For starters, this company has not only helped me multiple times- paying expensive repair bills but it also has helped my elderly parents who live in a different state than me. I truly appreciate how effective this company is in multiple ways. my grandfather used to be with another company for many years and EVERYTIME he filed a claim with the other company it was not professional. He cancelled and we searched the internet for another company but after 4 different companies we figured they were all the same... UNTIL my coworker at this *** dealership told me about Home Warranty Services. They have already replaced in my home: #1- hot water heater (repair *** was $1412.46) #2- replaced my old microwave for a new one ($319) #3- fixed some electrical in my bathroom. AND for my parents' home: #1- The furnace was fixed in the middle of a snow storm (who knows how much that would have cost us). #2- they just got a brand new stove (almost $2000) #3- they had an underground pipe leak which when the plumber was dispatched, my mother said he was the most kind soul and worked efficiently to replace the old pipe. Learn from me who has dealt with MANY different agencies for our home I can tell you, this has proved to be above any of these cheap monthly plans that give people issues with every claim. With Home Warranty Services, We file a claim, pay a deductible and our problem is solved without question. I feel we wasted years of payments with other agencies because of the headaches. Plus after reading reviews of all these other agencies, I see the vast majority of the clients file complaints because of those headaches. EVERY single one of these items listed that Home Warranty Services has repaired for My Parents home and my home would have cost us a lot more money than what the cost of the program is.

Three months ago, I received letters in the mail saying that my home warranty was about to expire or had already expired. I ignored them at first, but when I received my third letter that said it would be their final attempt to notify me about updating my home warranty, I was in a panic. Something inside me told me to get a home warranty, and so, I did. I spoke to one of the representatives by the name of *** Delainie, and he explained EVERYTHING to me: the Policy Renewal program, the 18-month installments that I had to pay, the deposit, the deductible, the so-called three-year payment Platinum Plan, everything. I told him that I wasn't interested, and he threatened to cancel if I didn't sign up. Again, I told him that I wasn't interested and that I couldn't afford the warranty or make payments on it. *** then got really nasty with me, and after all the cajoling, I finally decided to get the home warranty, which was $225.59 per month for 18 months. I found out that money had been taken out of my bank account for a warranty that I shouldn't have gotten in the first place.

So, I got this letter from this company that looked like some kind of legal thing, but it was just a warranty service. Since my house is old, I decided to call them. The first person I talked to was nice, but when I said I wanted to read the agreement before paying, he transferred me to a rude financial guy. He asked if I wrote anything down and if I was having a bad day. I was so happy to hang up on him. If a company pressures you for money, they're no good. Don't bother with this one. I'd give them negative stars if I could.

Home Warranty Services In March 2023, I got a letter from Home Warranty Services saying our warranty was expiring

In March 2023, I got a letter from Home Warranty Services saying our warranty was expiring. I called the number in the letter, thinking it was from them. I talked to a guy for about 30 minutes. He said our policy for 3 years at $49.99 per month was no longer available. He wanted us to take up a policy for $4200 for 3 years. I told him we didn't want it at least 3 times. He said if we didn't take it, we would be "red flagged" and not able to purchase this. They also said that they had information that lots of people on our street were having lots of repairs. There's no way they have that information. I said I don't want this policy. 3 days later, I got charged $100.00 on my credit card statement. I called the correct number for our home warranty. They knew nothing about this situation. I had to cancel my credit to stop the payments. I didn't even try to deal with them. These people need to be stopped.

Home Warranty Services I give Home Warranty Services 0 stars

I give Home Warranty Services 0 stars. They are a scam. I wasted 25 minutes on the phone with someone named ***. He tried to sell me a fake warranty because there are a lot of plumbing and electrical issues in my area that cost $3,000-$6,000. The warranty cost $495 down payment and then $399 a month. I told him that I already have a warranty that covers those things until July 2023. He didn't like that and said they won't cover expenses that high. I looked them up on ComplaintsBoard.com and saw that they only have a 1.7 star rating and have only been in business for 2 years. When I told him this, he hung up. Then, I got a call back from a different number and he said sorry, their power went out. He was still able to pull up my file though. He was very pushy and said that if I didn't make a decision on the phone, the offer was gone. I told him that he was scamming hard-working people and hung up. Don't trust this company.

Home Warranty Services This company is a scam

This company is a scam. I got a letter in the mail saying my home warranty was about to expire, so I signed up. But then I saw that the second payment went through a different company, so I got worried about my info being sold. I cancelled after the second payment went through, but it was hard to get a live person. The website link didn't work. The guy on the phone was pushy, but I cancelled. Now they keep calling and messaging me about payment, even though I cancelled and got confirmation. My ID is ***. Stop harassing me or I'll take legal action.

I called Home Warranty cuz I got a letter sayin my warranty bout to expire. They talked a lot bout renewin and asked for $295 on a diff card. I felt tricked and found out they ain't connected with my USAA insurance. I left messages to cancel but kept gettin the answering service. Finally talked to someone who said they'd cancel it but I'm still gettin billed. Hope they fix it.

Home Warranty Services This company is terrible

This company is terrible. They send you lots of letters, including a scary pink one. When I called to tell them to stop, the guy was really impatient and acted like they were the only ones who could help me. They took my money right away and signed me up for a really expensive plan. When I tried to cancel, they gave me the runaround and told me to wait for a document in the mail. When I finally got through to someone, he was really rude and disrespectful. He wouldn't let me talk and kept asking why I was cancelling. It was a terrible experience and I hope I get my money back.

Home Warranty Services HORRIBLE COMPANY!

HORRIBLE COMPANY! These people called a 90-year-old woman who has Dementia and lives on a fixed income and sold her an expensive Home Warranty. I called to cancel it and the customer service person who returned my call was extremely unprofessional. When I told him that we did not need it, as we already had one, he proceeded to forcefully and rudely tell me that it was the only warranty that my mother has on her house - several times. I do believe that I know what we have and what we pay for much more than he does. At the very least, this company needs to train their people much better than they currently do. I would not recommend them to anyone. If I could have submitted this with negative stars, I would have done so. They certainly do not deserve even one star.

Home Warranty Services I'm giving a 1 star only because it's a star review

I'm giving a 1 star only because it's a star review. This company doesn't deserve any stars. I purchased an older home so naturally I purchased a home warranty with it because it had all original appliances. I purchased Ameicas Home Choice Warranty because that's what my realtor suggested. I thought if they did good I would renew and also use them for my rental property. Within 6 months my stove and dishwasher break. My stove was 20+ years old and the warranty company refused to replace it only repair it. Even though the technician said it would continue to break its on its last leg. I chose to replace @ my own expense, they only gave me replacement cost. I didn't have the funds to diagnose to dishwasher even though it was broken down and I had already replaced it so I was just out the money. Moving forward to today. My AC crashed approximately 2 months ago and NOT 1 technician would come deal with me having a home warranty. I had to pay out of pocket. They won't even speak to them because these home warranty companies have hoodoo'd so many people out of their money or just not paying in a timely manner that other companies won't even deal with them. Now I'm stuck with a home warranty that refuses to reimburse me for the services I have paid for because they have burned the bridges with the companies and NOW us consumers are left holding the bag. If these warranty companies would have NOT applied so much red tape and done their jobs correctly this would have been an absolute wonderful thing. BUT they have done the total opposite and made it an absolute nightmare for EVERYONE INVOLVED and honestly I feel the government needs to shut their *** down for ripping off consumers of their hard earned money.

Home Warranty Services I'd like HOME WARRANTY SERVICES to permanently remove my name and home address from their mailing list

I'd like HOME WARRANTY SERVICES to permanently remove my name and home address from their mailing list. Over the past few years they've been soliciting their business mailing me two letters over the course of several weeks each year. I have called them many at *** to stop mailing me but the letters keep coming. SEE ATTACHED LETTER received 7/18/22. They have promised several times to do so but the letters continue to come. Any heading such as CURRENT RESIDENT, etc with my address should also be removed from their mailing list.

I have told this company Numerous times that I don't want to receive any postal mail from them. In their letter that I received today, they fail to mention their company name and only list a phone number to call. How many times do I have to tell this company that I no longer wish to receive any offers from them, given that they have multiple complaints filed against them by consumers?

Home Warranty Services This company contacted my 90 year old mother who has dementia & persuaded her to sign up for this warranty plan

This company contacted my 90 year old mother who has dementia & persuaded her to sign up for this warranty plan. This happened in October 2022. Somehow this company was able to get my mothers banking information so they could deduct $224.78 out of her checking account each month beginning in October 2022. How they were able to get her banking information is beyond me. My mother was not able to give them this information. I have called this company several times to cancel the contract & request a refund but they will not return calls & always have a answering service taking messages. This is definitely a scam! & needs to be stopped so they cannot scam other old people.

Home Warranty Services On 6/15 I spoke with this company relating to a home warranty which I was pressured into purchasing

On 6/15 I spoke with this company relating to a home warranty which I was pressured into purchasing. I was told I needed to pay a $195 deposit to begin the warranty. After consulting with my homeowners insurance company, I was directed to cancel the policy because it would not provide sufficient coverage needed.When attempting to cancel the policy, I was directed to the overflow department and that someone would need to review my account prior to canceling. I called back and was told I was not able to cancel, that I had to keep the policy for one whole year.This is not acceptable and not what I agreed to. I do not want them taking more money from my account for services I do not need!

Home Warranty Services I handle my mother's banking matters, (***) she is 89 years old

I handle my mother's banking matters, (***) she is 89 years old. On October 28, 2022 I noticed a charge online on her bank account for $100. I asked her about it, and naturally she doesn't remember. We don't need Home Warranty Services for anything. We have coverage with insurance and our major appliances are covered by our gas/electric company. I don't understand how these companies can scam the elderly. I have called their phone number *** and was on hold for over 8 minutes while typing this complaint. They didn't even answer with a company name. It went straight to a voice recording stating please hold. WHAT A SCAM. Now how am I to get the $100 back to my mother! The way these companies prey on the elderly is disgusting.

We purchased a Home Warranty from Home Warranty Service and when we received the booklet from them today 10/11/2022 the coverage was not what they told us we were purchasing. We have 30 days to cancel the contract and get a full refund of our down payment and have the auto payment stopped. When I called Home Warranty Service and tried to complain that they scammed us and the coverage was not what they sold us they hung up on us. I have tried to call them back and all I get is a message saying the person I was calling was not available and leave a message, which I did. I have contacted my credit card company and they said I had to call them back and tell them I want to cancel the contract. You have them listed on the ComplaintsBoard.com website as not ComplaintsBoard.com accredited Warranty Company.

On 5/20/22 I called Home Warranty Service regarding a letter I received. I was transferred to the *** and was pressured into giving a deposit of $100 from my debit card. The money has been taken out of my bank account. My daughter called to find out what this policy is about and how much it will cost me. My daughter was told if I wanted to cancel to call customer service to do so. I have decided I want to cancel policy. So on 5/23/22 and today, 5/26/22 the customer service department has been called by us over and over but we can NOT get anyone on the phone to cancel the policy. We keep being told we have reached the overflow department and someone will call us back. The problem is NO ONE is calling us back to cancel this policy. This company falsely says there is no problem if you decide to cancel! We do not have the time to keep calling!

On August 8th or 9th I called Home Warrenty Services to cancel my policy. I told the customer service person I wanted to cancel my policy and he said OK.. then I asked to get my August premium refunded and was told that I needed to contact another department but was never given a number to call.The policy was never canceled and payment was taken out 8/16. I called again on 8/22 and spoke to *** who was extremely rude to me. He said he would cancel the policy but said I had to refer to a policy book to get a refund. I do not have the book and he said he was going to email it to me but I never received it. This company is very shady.. none of the correspondance I recieved from them has the company name on it.. just a *** number. My daughter had to go online to find the actual company name and address based on the phone number I had. My daughter feels this company is taking advantage of me because I am elderly.

This company continues to harass my parents with mailings for Home Warranty that is a scam and only confuses my parents who are both in their 90's. I have called several times and asked for this so called business to please stop sending mailings as it is very confusing to my parents. On all the occasions that I called and made the requests to please stop the mailings I was treated very rudely and the representatives hung up on me every time. When I told them that I was going to lodge a complaint to the ComplaintsBoard.com they just said good luck with that and hung up on me. I tried to explain that the mailings were not necessary for my very elderly parents who have been in their home for over 75 years and that they would get very confused and nervous whenever they received a piece of mail from this Home Warranty Services / Home Warranty Division. I believe that they are they are operating as the same company. They seem to be targeting the elderly and individuals with memory challenges. Very, very sad that there are so called businesses out there taking advantage of our Elders in this society. I am appalled and they should be held accountable for their despicable actions!

I was sent a letter that was intimidating with BOLD LARGE LETTERS stating *EXTREMELY URGENT FINAL NOTICEand that I MUST call immediately because my home warranty is expiring. I am a 72 year old widow and I was scared of what I needed to do. The letter also had my lender's information printed on it, so I thought it was even more of a concern. My refrigerator had been malfunctioning and when I called to let them know, they told me it likely wouldn't be covered under my policy. I took the documents to my financial advisor to look over and we called them TOGETHER on speaker phone in his office. The gentleman that answered was incredibly condescending and rude. He refused to give me the customer service phone number after I had asked more than 5 times. When asked what his name was he said "***" and then immediately got off the phone. I did not want this warranty, nor did I understand exactly what I was buying until I received the brochure in the mail. This should be against the law and based upon the professionalism shown through the communication, it is obviously a scam. I asked for a refund and to cancel the policy. The call to "***" was placed on Nov. 8. 2022 at 7:12AM PCT. I am still astonished at how he treated me and my advisor.

Home Warranty Services I signed up with the company for the policy on January 1st 2022, during signup paid required 298 dollars and the policy would go into effect

I signed up with the company for the policy on January 1st 2022, during signup paid required 298 dollars and the policy would go into effect February 1st. When I contacted them around February 5th about a repair, I was told that it was for insurance for a car, not for the home. So I called the company, they said they would send me the proper paperwork. After waiting about a week and recieving no such paperwork, I contacted them again and told them to cancel the policy. They agreed but on March 1st, they took out a third payment. By this time I had made the initial payment plus two more of 266 dollars for February and March. On March 5th, I contacted *** bank and disputed the final payment and asked the bank to work on it from their end so they were unable to take any more money against my will. Everytime I contacted the company to close the account, they were argumentive, they lied, and on the third call in March they tried to convince me to stay with them for an additionally 3 months for a total of 6 months to get any sort of refund. They also claimed on the second contact they said they were home warranty, despite earlier claiming they only cover auto. I told them in third call, that I wanted cancelation notice in writting, but have yet to recieve.

November 22, 2022 On August 19, 2022 I received a phone call about a home warranty. The salesman wouldnt take no for an answer and said he would need $100. for the first 30 days and if I cancelled before the 30 days were up I would get back that $100. I agreed knowing I would cancel within that 30 day period. I even sent a letter cancelling and I also called them. Then on 9/19/22 I seen that $258.68 was taken from my bank account. I immediately called them and told them that I had cancelled the month prior. Within a 3 day period that amount was back in my account. Im still waiting for my initial $100. at this point. On October 25, 22 my bank account was hit again by this company in the amount of $181.51. I again let them know that this account had been closed since mid September. Since then Ive requested my money back on more than one occasion. I received a call/message yesterday in which I returned that call this morning. I spoke with a female who kept insisting I owed them a cancellation fee and a past due fee of $363.02. Her name was *** and her ID she said was 202. She was very rude! I reiterated to her that I owed them nothing and that they owed me $281.51. This has gone on too long and they should be held accountable. Im on a fixed income and I need my money.Thank you

Home Warranty Services Received notice saying that my home warranty was expiring

Received notice saying that my home warranty was expiring. I called and was told that it had expired and I needed a new policy. I was told that the new policy was better and I needed to pay a down payment of $295. A booklet would be sent out so I could see what the plan benefits would be. I thought that it was unusual to pay a down payment up front but I was assured that I would receive it back if I didnt keep the policy. I was given 30 days to review/refuse the policy. I was given her direct line and extension if I had any questions. All seemed fine until I received the booklet. In the back of the booklet it had a contract all written out with by phone for my signature. What happened to review the policy before I agreed or refused it. I tried calling the representative but could only leave a message. I left a couple messages that went unanswered before I started calling the other numbers. Whenever I said that I wanted to cancel the policy I was told that someone else would call me back to handle that. My deadline was 8/22/22 and I was getting worried. How was I supposed to cancel the policy and get my down payment back if I couldnt talk to anyone. Finally, one of the representatives on the phone gave me an email to send a direct message to. Of course, when I tried that I received a message that server had an error and couldnt be sent. Im planning on writing a letter and sending that too. Im at my wits end trying to cancel this contract. Im hoping that you can help me get out of this mess. I definitely feel that this company is fraudulent. Its making it impossible to cancel the policy.

In early September 2022, Home Warranty Services somehow got my 86 year old wife with Alzheimers disease on the phone. She has difficulty forming complete sentences, dialing a phone, and processing conversations. Somehow she was talked into a 36 month agreement for $5256.07 paid in only 12 months, and somehow gave out her payment information. When my children (who handle our finances now) found the charges, I called Home Warranty Services to find out what was going on and to cancel. After three days and over 15 calls, five or more left messages with the overflow department, I got through to a woman who wouldnt talk to me because I wasnt calling from the phone number on the policy and said shed call me back after discussing with her manager. She never called back. Next time I got through to a man that insisted his company would never take advantage of someone in her state (Id like to call BS). He told me hed call me back and let me listen to the recording. No call back. The third time I got through, the man insisted that I keep the policy because I hadnt sold the home yet. He did so about five times before I told him to stop. He told me I couldnt cancel without a notarized letter, then changed his tune after I insisted because he noticed that the previous agent had cancelled the policy. I asked for an email confirmation which he said he couldnt do.Long story short, they took advantage of my elderly, Alzheimers riddled wife, stole nearly $1700 of money we really dont have, and make it impossible to discuss and cancel, on top of entirely ruining the last four days for me. Everyone I spoke with were rude, pushy liars. They would not refund any money. I would ask for criminal charges if the ComplaintsBoard.com could help.Despicable.ComplaintsBoard.com, HELP!

Home Warranty Services I received a "FINAL NOTICE" from Home Warranty Services (***) that my home warranty "may be expiring or may have already expired

I received a "FINAL NOTICE" from Home Warranty Services (***) that my home warranty "may be expiring or may have already expired." "Our records indicate that you have not contacted us yet to get your Home Warranty up to date." They had even assigned me a "Customer ID of ***." Because of all this deceptive wording, I thought this was Home Warranty of ***, with whom I have a contract and that they were wanting me to update my home warranty, so I called the number *** and spoke to *** who sold me a three year home warranty plan. I paid a deposit of $195 with credit card, and agreed to pay someone named WALCO $223.88 a month for 18 months beginning August 8, 2022. The account number (agreement number) is *** problem - this is NOT my existing home warranty company, and I have NO IDEA how Home Warranty Services got my name and address. *** did not acknowledge that they were NOT my existing warranty company either. This is all VERY DECEPTIVE.I have placed 4-5 calls to the main number ***, trying to reach the *** but only got the answering service who pass along the message, and then I am called back by people with an *** WARRANTY service at ***, who tell me to call the first number. It's like a merry go round. *** appears to be hiding out and not returning my calls and using the *** WARRANTY service to confuse people. No way to do business! How can I trust a company to provide warranty services if they will not return my calls?I want my $195 deposit returned IN FULL, and I want this contract/agreement completely cancelled, and I want there to be NO billing to my credit card by WALCO. Please help me resolve this situation. Thank you.

Well I let the person at the other end go through their speech, and thought well my townhouse was built in *** appliances need updating, they were all excited because I mentioned that my mother had passed away and that I wasn't sure what all was included in her HOI, having said all that I decided because it sounded like such a good deal that I went ahead and gave them a payment, again stupidly, so the whole package was $295 for my house, and $100 for my mother's! The entire package after receiving this folder (if you will) in the mail said that the F'NG package is for 36 MONTHS...WHAT? The total amount is for a GRAND TOTAL of $4256.07, and the effective date is Aug 29, 2022! I've been calling for 3&1/2 weeks to cancel this package I'm told someone will call back, always from some local, bogus number that either when I've called back has been disconnected or is no longer in service or it connects me to an extension #*** or #***...NO name associated, like "you've reached so & so extension please leave a message"! The last time I called was 11/11/22, and "Travante" told me he couldn't help...he was their answering service! To leave my number for someone to call me right back! Give me a break...I've spoken to 5 people that were sending my request to cancel to that "department"...it'll be a month that I've been at this as of tomorrow! Still they took out $295 & $100 from my debit card...processed 7/30/22 & THEN IN August took out $224.50 & $220.05 on Aug. 30 2022! My statement shows "PAYMENT PLAN AU ***...I don't even know who in the h*** that is! Now a/o 11/11/22 I'm not able to use my bank card because that had to be cancelled and might I point out it's the weekend! I've called these people, might I add, SOMETIMES 3 TIMES A DAY! ENOUGH...I want ALL of my money back...NOW!
