I recently purchased a Ready Set Go from readysetgo.com and I must say, I was not impressed with my experience. I entered my credit card information and clicked the order button, but then a message popped up asking if I wanted free recipes. Of course, I clicked "Yes" because who doesn't love free stuff? However, to my surprise, I was charged $9.95 for these so-called "free" recipes. I was not happy about this at all and immediately called customer service to complain.
To my dismay, the customer service representative informed me that I couldn't do anything about removing the charge for 24 hours. I was frustrated and felt like I had been tricked into paying for something that was supposed to be free. I would not recommend dealing with this site if you're looking for an honest and transparent transaction.
Overall, my experience with readysetgo.com was disappointing and left a bad taste in my mouth. I believe that there should be no such thing as "free recipes" if they're going to charge you for them without your knowledge or consent. Unfortunately, that same year our bank account was attacked by a mystery shopping network that turned out to be a scam, and we lost over $2,000. We didn't hear anything from Readysetgo for over two years until we received a call last week. They said they understood our situation and would put our account on hold until we contacted them with bankruptcy information.
However, things took a turn for the worse today when we started receiving threatening phone calls from their lawyers. We were belittled and told that what happened in our bank account had nothing to do with the loan. We were left feeling helpless and unsure of what to do next. It's frustrating to feel like we're being re-victimized by a company that's supposed to be helping us.
We're not sure how we're supposed to rectify the account and file complaints with the attorney general when we're being treated this way. It's disappointing to see a company behave in such an unprofessional manner. We wouldn't recommend Readysetgo to anyone. If you're in need of a loan, we suggest checking out Check Into Cash instead. They seem to have more compassion for their customers.
