Proxene ES Bogus Health Products

This is more of a caution than a complaint. I received a brochure through the post regarding Proxene ES. It resembled one for a Product called UMAXX which also was for anti-ageing. It did nothing for me so have asked for refund. They say you can send the empty bottles back but they offer you a 50% rebate if you do not return the bottles. Will wait and see if the refund happens.
Regarding the Proxene ES. I googled the company name (Stafford & Spires Ltd.) which is supposed to be in Switzerland and got nothing. There is a return address in the UK for undelivery of brochure, which is a Box number. also has a Postcode, but it doesn't exist as I checked it out. If I order this product I am certain that it will be delivered from the united states from the same people that sent me UMAXX..
So we have 3 countries involved. An organisation in the UK probably working from their bedroom sending out the brochures from a false address, a company in USA which depatches the orders and maybe, just maybe Switzerland is the manufacturer. Or it could just be the place where the money is stashed.. Perhaps just turning a blind eye to anything to do with money as we all know about the secret Swiss Bank accounts. A good hiding place for billions of dollars of drug money and the funds that dictators steal from their citizens.
Don't think I will order this product.
Thank god for this site...everyone should have it in their favourites for reference before you ever purchase anything.

Update: i went online today on behalf of my elderley mum who has ordered Sonestol- a sleeping aid formula from this company Stafford and Spires which incidentally doesnt work for her. As a result of her request for more info on this company; I was immediately directed to a list of complaints above me after googling the company name. Now fortunately for my Mum she was receiving the above product and payment was being deducted from her debit card but due to the product not working she wanted to cancel her order etc.
She informed me that their customer service number was not contactable and they seemed to be no information of any address to send products back to. I instantly smelled a rat and was right. I tried the [protected] number from one of the above complaint blogs and was transferred to an american voice and placed on hold. I immediately hung up and informed my mum what i had discovered. Definitely dodgy and definitely a scam. My advice to my Mum was to cancel her debit card and get issued a new one so this company will no longer be able to debit cash from her old debit card number. Even her own bank advised her to get a new card and said it sounded like a scam and not to bother ringing any dodgy 0800 numbers. If they send anymore items/products to their customers whoever this suspect company are will have to ensure they give customers a 'REAL' customer service number to contact and a REAL address they can send their products back to. Simple!

Return address is 165 Pleasant Avenue, South Portland, Maine, 04106. It is worth holding on when you call customer service. Yes, it is an American voice which puts you on hold, but the customer service advisor was English and very helpful.

I was worried when my elderly mother received products from this firm. More worried when I googled them only to find this site! It seems she did buy from them a few years ago, not heard from them since yet was "cold called" recently.

As fate would have it she was waiting for a call from another nutrient company she does do business with. Her hearing is poor though she did question why the Stafford and spires product being offered had a different name from what she was ordering. Apparently they said the name had been changed. I can see how she was confused by all this. The product arrived, without invoice a few days later.

She had no idea what she has been charged. We phoned the bank and they found the debit (of £130!) was sent to a uk account. Their Fraud department is looking into it. I have dissuaded her not to post it back until I had looked into it. Reading this thread I will suggest that she doesn't.

so glad I found this site. my elderly father who is 83 excitedly showed me the brochure for UMAXX which had been put through his letterbox asking what I thought and should he order some. this surprised me as I didn't think he would have been so easily duped. he is an intelligent active 83 year old but it just goes to show that when you reach that age and aches and pains prevent you from doing what you want how desperate and gullible you become. luckily he has family to turn to for advice but many elderly don't. be cause it only took me a few minutes to find out it's a scam. (he doesn't use the Internet at all). I really hope something can be done about companies like this to protect our elderly citizens. it is daylight robbery and they appear to be getting off scot free. I can also see from posts that this scam has been going on unhindered for the past few years.

Ordered proxene ES from BioMolecular Solutions 2months ago & still have not received product, even paid extra for fast delivery.Have tried several times to contact the "Company" but to no avail.This company are scam artist who seem to send a few orders but not everyones.Have order No.[protected]/6961536

I have stupidly ordered Stemtrol and Prostate 9 from this outfit. When attempting to return goods they do not answer the phone. It is not clear where they are operating from, UK, Switzerland or USA.
This operation is obviously a scam. Unfortunately our authorities cannot be bothered to help to stop this nonsense.

I've had exactly the same problem when I was persuaded to order ONE Trial Packet of Acupatch. It didn't work, so I didn't order any more but I was sent them anyway. Unfortunately I gave them a Debit Card no. If it had been a Credit Card I could have got the number changed. I phoned my bank and they agreed to stop any further payments, but wouldn't change my Debit Card number. I got them in time as the payment for the unsolicited stuff hadn't been taken, but I hope the stop works, or I shall have no option but to change my current account to a different bank.

Similar situation with my inlaws. Seems they were cold called and agreed over the phone to try UMAXX, without realising they were signing up for regular monthly shipments at 23.70 a time. Once we spotted we stopped with the credit card company, and EWOP (tel [protected] - call mid pm and expect to hold for 20-30 mins). They claim to be an outsourced order processing house, but were able to cancel the order and refund the last payment. They gave me the address of Stafford and Spires as 165 Pleasant Avenue, South Portland, ME 04106 USA and told me that shipping the unused products recorded delivery would mean we'd get a refund on unused bottles. I'll update if it works. I am also checking the phone bill to see if my inlaws called them or were called - if the latter, there is the possiblity of claiming against EWOP as an EU company for not providing clarity of the terms over the phone or providing a cooling off period.

My nan ordered a product from Stafford & Spires and now keeps getting sent all sorts of things which she hasn't ordered and is automatically charged for. no joy getting hold of anyone on customer service line either. going to the bank to stop payments bet they stop sending stuff then. steer well clear of them.

I have received repeat deliveries of UMAXX automatically charging to my credit card without permission found customer service number in UK via [protected] listed above.customer service number [protected]. It operates mon - fri in office hours in UK. I feel I have been misled at best or the subject of ascam at worst. Malcolm Hooper

Proxene ES Supplement Offers by Mail

Reponding to complaints shown on Proxene ES

I have recently ordered Proxene ES, it took a while to arrive, but it's too soon to say whether I feel it helps our health or not, or if they are

doing anything (shipping/charging my card) without my approval.

Here is the phone number for Bio-Molecular Solutions, as found on the bottle: [protected].

I was going to phone them today, to get an address for Dr. William V. Judy, who purports to write the advertisement (it's not a report, it's an

ad), for a form of CoQ10, which he calls UBITOL.

I'd phoned them the other day to inquire about the ingredients, and to compare the strength of the CoQ10 in it, and learned some alarming

news. The young lady I spoke with in Manteno, IL, stated this: "There isn't that much CoQ10 in the product, but it is the best" also "there

is only 30 mg of the CoQ10, and other ingredients: CORN OIL" (!), "Vit. A, E, C, B1, Magnesium (200 mg), " etc.

I became very upset with this information. Anyone who regularly buys supplements, and reads the labels, knows that EVERY

manufacturer lists among the things they DO NOT put into their products, those which cause food sensitivities/allergic reactions among a

high percentage of the population, including me, and CORN and its derivatives is one of the worst!

I also have a problem with the level of Magnesium in the product. One is guided to take both Vit. C., and Magnesium "to bowel tolerance".

Which means if you start to have too loose a stool, or get diarrhea, you stop/cut back. When Magnesium is included in a product you have

no control over how much you are taking.

I've just spoken with the Customer Support person who answered the number above, and it turns out he is in Manteno, IL, not in Ft.

Lauderdale, FL. He would not give me the Ft. Lauderdale address, though a zip code of 33301 is included on the bottle.

I will be Googling on the UBITOL product, as well, as great claims are made in his 'letter'/'report' (advertisement)!

I've bookmarked this coments page, so I can find my way back; I'll report more on Proxene ES and our use of it, after we have some

experience with it. Nothing negative to report yet, but we've only had it maybe 3 or 4 days.

By the way, the young man on the phone could not find any record of our order, but wanted to look by credit card No., which I would not

give him! I was trying to see if they had us on an autoship. He stated that "most people order the autoship, and forget that they have done

so." I contradicted him, and told him what I was seeing online was not good about the company nor about their propensity to autoship...

which he denied. I stated that I believe most people do as I do; we order, try, and then decide if we want to order again, and perhaps to use

autoship.

We all, obviously, and especially with offers received in the mail, need to Google for negative/positive reports before we order things, and if

possible, order through PayPal, where they protect our credit/debit card numbers, and where PayPal will support us in canceling, if needed.

They will also support us in securing refunds.

Check back for more in a month or so.

My Mom loves proxene es! She is 78...started taking it 6 months ago. I just found this site while looking for somewhere to order it online for her. Her energy is soooo much better; she doesn't need 3 naps a day like she used to. And it seems she is much 'clearer' mentally; she used to tell me the same things over and over again, forgetting that she ever told me them once. She doesn't do that anymore, and seems like her 'senior moments' are far and fewer in between. Overall, for a 78 year old woman - seems like she has improved health since starting to take Proxene!

I too am disappointed with BioNutrigenics. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. Having been scammed before, I kept every piece of mail and product information that came with my order. After using the product I didn't see any effects so I used the return label and sent the product back. Once again I kept the information from the post office. A few months later I was checking my credit card statement and I noticed a charge for $9.95. It listed this company so I too called the 866 number listed on my statement but it had been disconnected. Now for those who don't have a number to call, use this one: [protected]. It takes you to Customer Service for BioNutrigenics, Inc.. Because I have fraud protection on my credit card I called my bank and they gave me credit. When I called the Customer Service number above, Brian told me it was a monthly charge for their Health Monthly News Letter. I said I had cancelled that and I've never received one. It has been cancelled now and I did not get a refund for the past couple of months.

I ordered a refudable free trial in UK of Oly joint for £13.99. After an age it arrived my card was debited for the inital £13.99 + 2 months supply £49.99.

The product did not work for me in my 30 day free trial. Idid not use the other 30day batch, I returned it to the only known return address in Switzerland, it cost £10.00 to return items.

The next day another batch arrived, my card was charged a further £49.99. I tried their distributor in Switzerland no response, I called another number, it was a callcenter; I eventually got through to presumably Illinois, using the number on the returns ticket [protected], because I found an instruction with the latest batch to obtain a refer number & return addressby phoning.

This I have done, the cost to mail will be £15.00, making a total £128.97 or US$195.00. I have instructed my credit card company to 'reverse the charges', so we shall see.

I agree that Ubitol is an OVER prices CoQ 10, and Swiss Labs/Nutrigenics Ubitol is a VERY questionable company that does not refund your money. Some kind of legal action should be taken against them. Dr. Oscar E. Beck, oebeckmd@gmail.com

Further to my post of7/22/08. I have just finished using up 1-1/2 bottles of Proxene ES which I had ordered (my husband and I each used half of our 3-bottle order). Neither of us noticed any difference in our overall health. We will be asking for a refund. I will report back on our success in receiving that.

I came back here researching another product sold by BioNutrigenics, the BioQ8, and found both my comment about Ubitol's containing CORN OIL, and this full comment on Proxene ES.

I'd been searching for the ad I had seen before on the liquid CoQ10 which I remember wanting to order. Not so sure I do now...

This method of payment is being targeted in the UK. People prefer to try the product then order more if they are happy with it.

I purchased the product by calling the company and using a Visa card. I took the product for approximately 6 months with no noticeable benefit. So, I gave the product a more than fair chance to work. I e-mailed the company 3 times (with no response) and cancelled my standing order. One month later, they sent me another order and charged my standing card...
