Great shopping experience, but I too found they do NOT want to have to make good on a promise or do the right thing. Private company and obvious it's all about get the sales through the register and fight every customer service claim. Pity the after the sale service can't match the "before they got your money' service.

Not true. Samsung cooling unit is made by same global company that makes Whirlpool, GE, LG and others. It is not a faulty unit, but yes you could have a faulty REF. I work in the industry and just about anything electronic has some sort of failure rates more than zero unfortunately. 10 years ago, TV failure rates (Failing in first month or so) were AVERAGING around 5%, meaning out of 20 units shipped by just about any company, one would be a dud quickly. Call Samsung customer service and ask to speak to a supervisor, get names and follow up. Many times manufacturers will go the extra mile if you push.

Not a helpful post there pal. What a ###.
Getting the idea that Sleepy's uses the "Break it in for awhile" routine as I have read that in numerous posts. Part of that reason- there is a very short defined "comfort guarantee of 28 days and NOT ONE DAY MORE. This place looks good on the outside and feels, really, really fraudulent on the inside. We all need to send BBB info. Not that it does much good, the BBB is paid for by retailers but once there are X number of complaints, the BBB rating goes down.

Guess it's a Sleepy's employee. Witty comeback. I have no fight with you, please move on.

Thought this was a board to post legitimate complaints, but apparently people lurk on here to post inane comments. For the record, I did not call anyone a name.

Got it. I stand corrected. SHE (YEP I GET IT he is a SHE- maybe) is still a ### for jumping on subjects just to point out SHE knows something others don't (And really? Does SHE). No more names but the activity here is really strange, not for me. Maybe when you all grow up I could help you learn how to get a real life. Just sayin'...

What I see are a bunch of screen names that have only been on here a short time (And yes, I'm in day 2 so that's not my point). That, plus Parrot's "rules of the road" speech usually indicates a real troll who has to change ID's frequently after posting offensive or libelous rants. And Parrot I believe you are the queen.

Thanks!
Good fans for the money, however, I too had the remote issue. Actually turned it on after 2 months of use, it smoked a bit and then popped. I re-rigged it so that the fan only needs the remote. Harbor Breeze is a "House brand" of Lowe's made in China probably by the same folks who make name brand units. Stores use house brands for a variety of reasons, cost and the fact that you can't really shop apples to apples for lower price since no one else carries them. Lowe's stores for the most part are among the most accomodating if you have an issue even months later. Some of you should simply try to return and get an exchange; however I understand many of you had them installed professionally and probably don't want to mess with it personally. If the unit is under warranty, ask to speak with the Ops or Store manager, many times they will foot the bill for an installer to replace your unit. Lowe's and Home Depot are in a huge struggle, so both companies want your repeat business.

Unfortunately, it's the way of the world these days. Retail margins are thinner than ever, every single piece of stolen merchandise represents not only a $ loss, but is a product gone that a legit customer can't buy. I feel the eyes too and get angry for a second, laungh it off after that. Sorry for your angst.

Best buy does that, and has for a few year, basically checking for "serial retuners", people who "rent" Tv's for the SuperBowl, camcorders for a child birth and then return. Their CEO, Brian Dunn has a twitter account (It says CEO BRIAN DUNN) you might want to follow him and send a tweet about it.
