I have gone Greyhound a few times and it's usually an odd experience. One driver kept falling asleep-his head kept bobbing-I watched him intently the whole time ready to grab him once he gave in to the 'nods' ( thankfully he didn't succumb), another station was full of, well, weirdos-one unbathed man plugged in Christmas lights and swayed dramatically in prayer (?- meditation?) and many were the homeless just looking for warmth- the weirdos were the security people making them leave (as far as I am concerned). But the oddest was my trip to Detroit and the German bus driver. He told us the scheduled bus was really full and a much less crowded one was coming in 10 minutes if any of us wanted to wait. A few of us did. That darn bus didn't come for 4 hrs! My husband called to see if I was almost to Detroit and I told him I was still at the home station! It was a horribly wintry day and would be slow moving anyways but, ugh! The bus driver sat by me in at the station and started cussing about the missing bus- and it was missing -he could not get any feedback from it or where it was. We talked and he told me all about his life in Germany where he was once a pilot. Very nice, gregarious, if just a little off man, who was so upset by the missing bus I was comforting him. Finally it arrived and we boarded and took off. About half way to Detroit he goes on the speaker and asks us if we mind going about 20 minutes out of our way to pick up a fellow traveler who accidentally got left behind on a pee break at a gas station. He had us vote. We voted to pick him up. I thought he was such a nice guy but when we picked up the poor guy our bus driver turned on him and started yelling him. I am not sure why. Anyhow on we went. Oh and he yelled at me for talking too loud on my cell phone but, truth be told, I was - because my husband could not hear me but still, we were such good buddies at the station, I soothed him! Yeah so he was gettiing crabby and I was getting worried because it was about 8 hours into the trip and I realized that my ride from the station in Detroit would have started drinking by now- drinks from 5 PM on. But in the end I made it there and my ride was sober ( yay) but mad that he had to wait to drink. So the moral is if you go Greyhound don't expect things to go smoothly, sit back and enjoy the weirdness.
Don't let that man get you down! Some people just have weaker teeth. My mom had to have full dentures by age 20 even tho she took good care of them. When I was little I thought everyone got dentures once they got married ! :0) so much so that I told my neighbors that's what happens -was I surprised when they said their Moms all had their own teeth and, boy, was my Mom mad when she found out I told the neighbors she had dentures! :*/ Anyway some doctors are just ### -maybe the man he was nice to was someone he wanted to kiss up to. Don't let his bad attitude get you down! Remember how excited we were as kids when we lost a tooth! Put it under your pillow and then switch it out for a special gift for yourself! Something to cheer yourself up with. And smile!
Send in a pic :)
I got mulletted once years ago, right before prom! At least it was the 80's!
Thank goodness child's hair grows fast! My daughter has special needs so I cut her hair as she doesn't tolerate strangers doing it well. Once I cut her bangs really, really short-i just could not get them even and then they were so short I had to stop. The next day at school the secretary said " ohh, did someone get into the scissors?" meaning did my daughter cut her own hair and my husband said "yeah, my wife" the secretary was soo embarrassed. We laugh about it now as that was years ago. I say it is way better to get a bad haircut at 2 than as a teen- then you would have a hysterical teen girl on your hands. Some day you can look back on the birthday photos and chuckle. Don't let it ruin your special day . You don't get those wonderful baby/toddler years back so enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!
Usuallyif you have blonde color/ bleach in your hair already you are at risk for the green grey look with ash. I think the first advise you got wasn't too bad. I am not a stylist but a "kitchen beautician" - I monkey around with my own hair. I am a stay at home Mom so if I mess up it's not too big a deal. The ash blonde on natural hair should have lightened it an all over color and then the highlights would have given young nice dimensional look - you could have did a full head treatment to look really blonde. Just don't try to bleach your whole head, especially if you have long hair or dark hair. I just did that and got really yellow hair. Some sites said to re bleach others said noway would cause lots of damage. One site said try ash blonde color some said would turn my hair grey but at that point I would have rather had grey hair so I trie a strand test and it toned down the yello a lot so I did my whole head and it was no longer yellow but the classic bleached blonde! Yay, right? Wrong- turns out I look horrible as a bleached blonde so I colored over that with a golden brown and now I have a nice light brown color with some highlights shining thru. Surprisingly my hair is not damaged but it is short and that helps. I think I wil need to re color before too long as bleached hair does not hold color well but it has been 2 weeks and tho lighter I am still happy.
Forget that hater - I applaud you for your compassion in helping your assistant! and that she trusts you with this awkward situation says a lot about your character. I hope she gets her money back!
I have heard that A.E. will lower your available balance if purchases are made that make them leery-like at grocery stores or Wal-Marts. I think they fear the customer is lacking cash funds so using credit cards and thusly they cut their available balance.. Seems kinda mean spirited. And faulty logic as some people just like to use the card for groceries to keep track of how much is being spent there or to be able to pay off quickly to raise credit score. But my husband swears that if we use our card for multiple small purchases or at grocery store our balance will drop.
Do you owe them money? And how much was the original loan for? No matter what they cannot threaten you and scare you. I had a friend whose estranged husband racked up a lot of debt from one of these loan places ( either payday or checkintocash) and he committed suicide ( he had a lot of problems) well the credit co. Went after the estranged wife -who, by the way was the one who found his body and though not in love with him anymore still very very upset over the suicide, anyway, they went after her horribly and she wasn't even with him when he took out the loans. Not only did they not have any compassion over the fact that the man had just committed suicide they were tormenting this woman with threats. I think she ended up getting good legal advice not to pay them and be firm with them about reporting their harassment and they left her alone after a while but she DID NOT take out a loan with a them.
If you did get a loan and they are now taking on HUGE interest rates and penalties, which is common, try and get some advice from an attorney or look on line for advice on other sites if not on here. I know they are darn right brutal to deal with. Try not to let them get you down and let us know how it goes.
He's complaining about a commission not a bonus-big difference!
Why not offer the use of your phone to a needy person to use up some unwanted minutes or if money hungry stand outside Home Depot and tell the illegals there that they can use your phone for a small fee. No, kidding don't do that ! But maybe help some needy friends. Cheek meet tongue;)
A www, give her a break. Have you ever waited on tables? It's hard work! And for the amount of work needed for unlimited soup and salad the %of tip off the bill probably isn't enough.
