Well this to the commenter above saying it is your responsiblity to cancel after the free trial.
Th Equifax online site is full of **** I was subscribed to this service for two years Last November I cancelled the subscritions I had because some of the services I was paying for were not accessible by my or active. I did not feel that it was right to continue to take my money for services that I was not receiving. After canceling these services, charges appeared in Decembert on my account for the services that I had cancelled. I called and the charges were refunded within about a week. Then January rolls around, and they charged my account again for the same cancelled services. When I called again they were very adimate about how I hadn't cancelled, and then saying that there was no record that I cancelled my services, but when I told them yes I did, you are not looking at my call history on the account, you can't be, because if you were you would see that I was refunded for non-authorized charges last month, then they oh I see it now...we are going to escalate this matter to the accouting dept...well two days later a refund appeared on my account, but it was not the full amount, so I called again and was told the same mess and that it should be back in my bank account in less than a week, but we need to get your card number, in order to place it back on your card, because you had us to delete your card information when you last called. I told them yes I did, so that I would not have to go through this again with charges on my account. I also stated that why did the one of the charges come back and not all of it, she couldn't answer that but needed my card information to send the ticket to the service dept...Well here it is 02/02/09 and still no refunded charges so I call again and I am told the same thing, but she doesn't ask for my card information, just that she will send the information to the services department, but we need a statement faxed to us showing these charges, (are you kidding me), I told this lady if you are looking at my account profile you will see that this has already been verified and the same thing you are telling me the last person told me, and nothing has been or is getting resolved. Well Ma'am she says, give it a 3 days and if we haven't contacted you or if the refund hasnt been credited call us back.
Once again are you kidding me. So before I hung up, I told her that this was "rediculous and uncalled for, and that I was tired of calling about the same thing, being told the same thing, but nothing happening and what I think I should do is a file a complaint with FTC and the Attorney General, you have a nice day, " and all she could say was o.k. ma'am, you too.
Wow what kind of internet service do you have.
I have comcast phone, internet, and digital cable.
My internet service is only 42.95
Well as for the Class Action suit, there is a section clause in the contract that states you can not pursue claim aginst them as part of a class action, private attorney general action, ot other representative action.
First off, H&R Block is a Business that happens to deal with tax preparations and uses HSBC as a funding source for their bank. People are being used by this RAL and Rapid refund service, but it is the person that chooses to use that service choice and they know the consequences by now.
Now H&R Block does not offer all of the details to this method, they are making money off of this and HSBC gets a big cut of the money as well. They know from the first few calculations when filling out your forms that you will not qualify for the express services, but approve you for a portion of a loan, say for instance 400.00 of which they deduct finance and processing fees from that at the time they cut your check. So now you have paid for preparation, processing fees on what they did approve you for, and when your refund comes in from the IRS, the take the whole 400.00 not the net amount of the check but for the amount you got approved plus finance fees and preparation costs.
And please don’t let the Government offset your taxes, not only do you not see your refund, now HSBC will start collection methods and continuously add interest and late fees to that 400.00, after a while that 400.00 will soon be up in the thousands. There was an article a few years ago, I forget where and when, but the article talked about how HSBC is a high priority loan company and their dealings when it comes to financing and tax refunds, they have knowledge of your filing status when they submit but let you continue to think that you will get these refunds lightning fast.
Those of you that are first time filers using this method, stay away from it and wait on your refund if you have one coming. You have done without this money for 365 days so why can't you wait 13 -17 more, plus your taxes can be prepared and filed electronically for free.
The crazy thing here is that I have never had a loan or bank account with Fifth Third Bank, yet they submitted a report to the credit Bureau, of a closed account.
First of all any government agencies will have dot gov at the end not com
which is just about what happened to you...scammed, cunned, and had.
Be very careful on the internet, especially with url entries.
And just remember anything dealing with a government entity ends with dot gov
First of all Xynquat your are ignorant, dumb, stupid, and all of the above.
Take that mess somewhere else, if the world ends in 2012, gues what your are going too.
For the person that submitted the complaint, do not use anything dealing with a government entity if it does not end with dot Gov
Why pay for services that you can do for free yourself, without the hassle of potential fraud, identity theft and much more.
