Shamefully, LAST JUNE I ordered a $9 piece-of-crap necklace (through an offer on Facebook) and received it along with about 6 other pieces I NEVER ordered. I called them immediately and canceled the so-called membership I NEVER signed up for. Saturday (NOVEMBER) my CC company called informing me that there was suspicious activity on my CC from ShopDani.com. Two $89 charges. This morning I called my bank, disputed those charges and got my money back. Next, I called the Evanston Police Department (funny, they knew EXACTLY who I was talking about before I even mentioned ShopDani's name) and they directed me to the Illinois Attorney General's Office. I am going to file a complaint just for fun, because I think it's crap that they are doing this to sooooooooo many people (I googled them - and... WOW). They hit me this week with two $89 charges. I filed a complaint with the Illinois Attorney General's Office and am seriously considering filing a complaint with the FBI. I was told it was a Federal issue since it has crossed state lines. I cannot believe how many people they have scammed! They also told me that their servers caused the error, but judging by all the other posters, that's what they tell all their victims.
I was scammed by ShopDani (Peel, Inc.) as well. I was lucky and was able to dispute the charges. I am stunned at how many people have fallen victim to these crooks. I contacted my local FBI office & they said Credit Card Fraud is a Secret Service issue. I am in the process of contacting them to file a complaint, please, please, please do the same...
