Same here, I keep getting calls from this number and no one leaves a message.
No need to repeat the details... We had the same blinking issue... Fridge 3 months out of warranty. Started at 3:30 am and woke the whole family up.

I read the appliance guru page (http://applianceguru.com/view_topic.php?id=13035&forum_id=1&jump_to=75815) and bought the parts at Radio Shack...

But then I noticed that a few posters had luck getting Maytag to replace to part and cover the labor even out of warranty. (Fred / Kathy) I figured getting a whole new board would be better just in case there were other improvements.

So I called Maytag and literally within 5 minutes they had faxed authorization to a local repair shop to fix the fridge. (Parts and labor included.) Maybe I got lucky. (Here are the details of what I said: I mentioned that I read online that Maytag was replacing the board even when the Fridge was out of warranty. The tech put me on hold and checked with the supervisor and she said they would cover it. They looked up a local repair shop for me and sent the authorization.)

The good news is that we have an excellent local repair shop. They ordered the part overnight and replaced it the next business day.

They used Part # [protected] (BOARD HV C). Also I noticed that Maytag used a different brand of capacitors on the entire board. (Not just on the two that have been going bad.)

Now I just hope we don’t have the ice maker go out like so many others have had happen to them.

Good luck all !
I forgot to mention on thing... Our ICE20 icemaker was also making large blocks of ice that it couldn't break up and it was getting jammed. The local repair shop tuned the icemaker to put less water in the tray. That seems to have resolved that problem.

There is a little set screw behind the ice maker cover. Turning it only a quarter of a turn fixed the problem. Don't turn it more than a quarter turn or you might not get any water in the ice tray at all. Test each quarter turn for a day or two before changing it any more. (There are +/- markers around the screw. Just turn it towards the '-'.)
Around November 2006, there was a change in policy where only people listed on the accounts are able to access the account. This was done to increase security of customer's accounts, and prevent unauthorized changes. It seems like this change occurred between the times when you called to disconnect the cable and internet, and when you called to try to cancel the phone. This is why you were not successful when attempting to disconnect the phone. You simply were not authorized. Obviously situations do arise where customer's do pass away, and leave nobody listed as authorized on their accounts, but there are ways around this, ie. Death Certificates. I'm sure this was explained to you when you called in, probably every time, but i can see why you would leave it out of your complaint, because it makes your post seem less valid. :)

It seems to me, this situation would have been resolved much sooner had you just brought in a copy of the death certificate when this was suggested to you. I'm not really sure why you would not have done that, as it would be much easier than calling in over and over, and writing letters to the corporate office.

I personally feel more secure knowing that a person cannot randomly call my phone company, tell them I'm dead with no proof, and have my account shut down. Don't you?

Contact the Better Business Bureau. They have a dossier on about every Bill Heard dealership in the country. I would also contact your local news media.
Yeh, they probably didn't know, or care, and why would they? Or should they? They're just a bunch of hardworking, tax-paying people with families and feelings who will one day die in pain like the rest of us so whatever ...

I have used ebuyer for many years with only the odd problem. But last year I had a package missing from one of my orders, so sent an enote, as it was stated all enote are responded to within 2 working days. After 3 w/days and no reply, I sent a second enote. This was also ignored. So I sent a third and final enote, stating that if they did not respond within the stated time I would accept their ignorance as an agreement on my part. Surprise surprise, they responded, saying that the item was not sent due to insufficient stock and that they have refunded me for the item. At this point I figured it was all sorted. But when doing my accounts recently (7 months after the event) I have found that I never did receive a refund for the missing item, so I have just started chasing them again and will update when I get a reply from them.

On a different note, I ordered some goods recently which were sent by Parcel Force. I received an email from Ebuyer saying my order had been despatched, but after a few days and no delivery I decided to chase it up. When I tried to track my package(s) online I kept receiving a message on the Parcel Force website saying it is not possible to track the consignment. I contacted Ebuyer (0871 number at probably 15p minute) and found myself on hold for some time. I was told that as it was from a satellite warehouse it would be delivered to Ebuyers main warehouse before being forwarded to me (seemed a bit strange, but what do I know!). After a few more days and no delivery, I phoned again. This time I was told they would look into it and phone me back within an hour. Guess what, no call back! So, the next day I phoned again, and was told the same thing, they would phone back. To which I replied, "I was told that yesterday, and nothing happened", to which I was 'promised' I would get a call back. Guess what, no call back (again). So, the next day I again made another call. This time I was getting a little bit stressed and was told to calm down! The cheek of it! I was told this time that Parcel Force had delivered the order some time earlier (before I even made the first call apparantly), and that it had been signed for by me! This was not possible as I was away on business at the time and date of delivery and there was no-one in my house at the time. I asked for a copy of the Proof of Delivery as I was willing to take it to court, so I was put on hold. On resuming the call I was told that there was in fact no signature after all. This is an unbelievably devious thing to try and do. I will be persuing this one for loss of earnings, stress and the cost of my calls, because I have been repeatedly lied to. Will update on this one soon as well.
