Do not be fooled by ATT Uverse's online add for 89.00 a month and a $250.00 gift card as it is a scam! I ordered this and after it was installed was told my bill was 150.00 a month and I would get q $100.00 gift card. I called and spent two hours trying to get this resolved but was told what a great deal I was getting and basically to be happy! I ran employee and patient satisfaction for a major health care system for over 25 years and I know the value of a great happy customer! Their are a rip off and they have tripled their fees in the last 10 years more than any other public utility company! I will tell everyone I know and now I understand why everyone in my neighborhood is changing their service. When I think of the thousands of dollars I have paid them throughout my life and I get treated unprofessional by their retention team employee John I am furious. When I called as it told me I could not process the request on line he person I talked with keep promising me all these deals and then would come back and tell me oh sorry this is the best I can do. So no $250.00 gift card, no $89.00 a month bill it was all a scam. I am disabled and on a limited budget and yet I have never not paid a bill on time. I just looked on line and I can get a dish program for $39.00 a month. But John said you, won't get a free phone, well I never asked for the phone as I use my cell phone. I remember when it was one company just Pacific ?Bell and the government made them split as they felt they were a monopoly and could drive up prices. Well look at them now they even bought Dish TV. They have no respect for their long time customers! Shame on you ATT!
I agree just went through a nightmare with them! They are horrible!
Good luck they won't help you at all, they are the worse company!
I agree the person you talk to can't even speak English! I had the same experience I was promised an online deal for 89.00 a month and a gift card for $250.00 well guess what they lie! It is a $150.00 a month and a n$100.00 gift card! I think I will call the PUC and report them!
Well went on line to register for my $100.00 credit voucher as if you don't you will lose it and of course they said my log on and password was incorrect even though I had the printed piece of paper right in front of me with my log on and password and checked it 3 times and then was advised if I tried again they would shut my account down. So then did on lime Jill and after spending almost 90 minutes of explaimg. She said no problem she could help me, well Jill shut my internet completely down and by then I was too exhausted to try again.
I am so upset! ATT you are a horrible company.
Shame on AT&T no wonder America is falling apart. Try and just call and you will speak to someone from another country with terrible communication skills, which is an oxymoron since they are a communication company! Then I tried to do business online which takes for ever to answer all their questions and just when the girl named Jill said she could fix my issues they crashed the Internet, so it was a waste of time! They use to be q great company to work for and they use to give excellent customer service but those days are gone! American companies do not invest in the people of America they hire from other countries and these sales people who may offer or may not offer the truth but they only care about getting their commission check they have no invested intrest in the Company they work for. They don't care if you are a happy customer. I was scammed by an online deal that said I would get a package for $89.00 a month plus a free land line. However, when the technician finished his work and had me log on it said my bill would be $150.00 a month! I asked him about it and I feel he should of been able to answer my question but instead said I would have to call this number he gave me. So I called and was transferd to one person after another and having to tell my story over and over again. I am disabled and have a failed neck fusion and holding the phone to my neck is extremely painful and the last man I talked to who I guess is their retention manager went on and on about how much money I am already saving and like how dare I even complain. That basically I should be grateful for the deal I received! I was appalled by his poor customer service skills and having been in charge of customer service and employee satisfaction for a large health care system for over 25 years I was trained the value of a good customer. One unsatisfied customer will tell over 10 people about their bad experience and will cost your company lost revenue. Word of mouth can destroy or make a company as we trust our friends and family much more than an ad on TV. They think they are so large now buying also Direct TV and having a monopoly on the cable and internet companies. However, as we have seen from history that many large corporations have gone broke and bankrupt in the past years and I believe it is all due to the service they provide. I would rate them a D-. Also, let's not forget that cable TV has tripled in prices over the last ten years so the people at the top are getting paid big bucks all on the backs of the almost gone middle class. We are the ones who have kept these companies in the black and we can also break them! With Netflix and other places like RedBox I see that soon companies like AT&T will be soon only a bad memory. We don't have to put up with them and the only way is to stop using them and only then will they get it that unless they provide customer service excellence we will choose another way to entertain ourselves. The social media is a great place for all of us to post our dissatisfaction with these companies. So keep talking and telling your story and we and only we the consumer can say No more! I am tired of paying my hard earned money on services that seem to forget I am the customer. So Mr. Retention Manager I am the one who pays your paycheck and you better think twice about telling your customers that we should be grateful for their prices. It only takes one second to delete them. Thank you for letting me voice my opinion.
Yes, they don't tell you that you have to apply for it online and you can't apply for it until you have had the service for one month and then they will send it to you within 60 days. Also note the expiration date as if you do not use it right away it will expire and they are banking on the fact that most people will forget to apply and will not use it right away and then the fish and bait method will work exactly like they planned. Good luck on trying to get someone to help you as those days are gone!
I find it so funny that AT&T places their ads on this site posting their false and impossible rebates and rewards cards! Your daughter should call and tell them she will cancel if they will not give you the promised rebate! Shame on them!
I can't even get my TV's registered with Square Trades! Everytime I send them a picture of my receipt they say I did it wrong and the fax number they gave me does not work! I I am so upset as I have been trying to give them a copy of my receipt for 8 months! What a scam!
