I can't say enough good things about this company. The experience I had with them was smooth. The calls were always returned when I would call in. We had them put in a new spa, which looks great. I felt they kept me very informed throughout the process. Happy with the experience.

We had a hot tub put in by this company, and we're very pleased with how everything went. The service was fast, they were careful to not mess up any of the previous work we had done by another company. We go in the hot tub several nights a week since the install. Had a pretty decent experience with this company over the past week. Our new patio cover looks terrific. The sales guys were nice and there was no pressure to make a decision when we came in a few weeks back. Anytime they said they were gonna come out, they did. The service here was a 10. I'm happy with how everything went. Thank you Matt and everyone else here at Proficient.

The second we signed the contract, they were quick to get started with things. We had them install an outdoor kitchen build, beside a new pergolla that was installed from another company. Beautiful patio covering. We recently bought a house in the *** area and wanted to spruce up our backyard. That's when we stumbled upon Proficient Patios. We visited their showroom and everyone there was really nice. They took the time to explain everything. They had *** come out and give us some ideas. When they began the project, it took a few days to finish. Everyone did an awesome job, they were really friendly and worked hard even though it was scorching hot. I would totally recommend these guys.

I hired Proficient Patios to make a cool patio cover. They took more than $30,000 in deposits and only worked for 3 days in over 2 months. They don't want to talk and keep avoiding all messages. They were supposed to continue the job 10 days ago, but no workers have shown up yet. I think I got scammed by a company that's supposed to be trustworthy. Be careful if you decide to buy from them.

We signed a contract with Proficient Patios on March 10, 2022 to put in a patio in our backyard. The guy who sold it to us said they'd dig 2 holes for the posts and it would take 3 days for the concrete to get hard and for the city inspectors to give it the thumbs up. Then he said it would only take 3 more days to wrap everything up. But it's been 3 whole weeks and they still haven't finished the job. We've emailed them and called them a bunch of times asking when they'll be done, but we haven't gotten any answers yet.

I bought some patio chairs on 4/3 and put down $1870.77. I called in late October to ask when the chairs would arrive, but they didn't even know if they were coming. So, I decided to cancel the order and asked for my down payment to be sent to me. They said okay. I called again on 11/3, 11/29, 12/10, and 12/16 about the check. Every time I call, they pass me around to different people and always say that the accountant, owner, or whoever I need to talk to is not there and that I should call back. It's not my job to keep calling; it's their responsibility to send back my money that they've been holding for 8 months. I appreciate your assistance with this.

Proficient Patios & Backyard Designs started constructing a patio enclosure in February . However, the process turned into a bit of a mess between February and mid-May. The Henderson inspectors made four visits during this time, and unfortunately, the patio failed to pass inspection each time due to leaks. It seems that the frame was not properly aligned, resulting in water seeping in through the door and the transom beneath the window.

Proficient Patios did send their foreman to fix the mistakes, but unfortunately, the patio still leaks in certain areas. Their explanation for this is that the exterior slopes were not done correctly, and as a result, water overflows from the weep holes, leading to the leaks. Additionally, it appears that the patio was not sealed properly, exacerbating the issue.

Now, I am seeking compensation from Proficient Patios so that I can hire a reputable contractor to resolve this situation. It is important to me that the leaks are fixed once and for all, and I hope that Proficient Patios will take responsibility for their errors and provide the necessary compensation.

We hired Proficient Patios & Backyard Designs in April for our backyard project. We signed a contract and paid a $20k deposit. But, gotta say, we've been let down by their unprofessionalism and lack of care. They messed up the stucco on our front home and even damaged our backyard windows. Can you believe it? And they had the audacity to deny it was their workers' fault. We've already made two additional $20k payments, totaling $60k, and still have $25k left to pay, making it a grand total of $85k. It's been over a month now, and there's been zero progress. We've been waiting patiently, but they don't bother replying to our emails or giving us any info on when they'll finish our yard. We've had enough! We want our property fixed and this darn project completed ASAP.

I hired Proficient Patios & Backyard Designs to build a sunroom at my place. We signed the contract in May , but it took them over a year to finish the small sunroom. Their customer service is terrible, and they charge way too much. They still haven't completed the job, and the work they did on the sunroom is shoddy. They ignore my calls, texts, and complaints. The worst part is that they're now asking for more money, around 18k, for electrical work that wasn't even in the contract. They didn't tell me about this until the very end of the project. I'm consulting with a lawyer about construction laws because of this. They have really bad reviews on Yelp and other sites. This company needs to be held accountable for all the stress and headaches they've caused their customers. Their dishonesty is just not acceptable. Something needs to be done about this.

I made a contract with Proficient Patios & Backyard Designs on June 5. On June 23, I gave them a deposit of $4,500. They told me that the materials were taking a long time to receive. So in July , I called and they said they were 10 weeks behind schedule. That would bring us to August 23. When I called again, they told me it would be another couple of weeks because they were working on a job scheduled for August 10. We were having a patio and patio cover installed. I would understand waiting for the patio cover, but we should have already had the patio concrete laid. Anyway, I finally received a call on September 22, asking to schedule the cement work, but my husband refused. We have not heard from them since. We have requested our deposit of $4,500 to be returned and have tried to cancel our contract numerous times starting in August, but we have not received any response. Proficient Patios cannot be trusted for their timeliness and quality of work. All I want is my deposit of $4,500 back because the work was never done and there was a significant delay with no communication.

Proficient Patios & Backyard Designs is way too expensive. I tried reaching out to them, but got no response. They quoted me $7000, but I found similar products for only $1185. I called *** and got prices for the items, and the total came to around $1000. So, what did I pay the extra $6000 for? Was it just for labor? On top of that, the job wasn't even finished. I have emails discussing the issues and what needed to be fixed, but the CEO told me to contact the office and nothing happened. I feel really uncomfortable with them and their workers, especially with how they talk to me. I don't think the cost should have been so high. When Matthew, the CEO, came to my house to give me ideas, it was supposed to be based on the products and what was needed. Clearly, it wasn't worth $7000 for just two small patches of grass in my yard. The cost breakdown should have been provided, but despite my repeated requests, I never received it. I think I deserve a refund of at least $2000 for this so-called work. Additionally, the workers didn't set up the sprinkler timer correctly, and I told them I thought it was overwatering. It ended up costing me over $300 in water bills. The first bill was $300, and the next one was over $100 because of their mistake. I had to call someone else to fix it, and after a lot of arguing, they finally gave me a check for $150.

We hired this company to do our front and back yard design and landscaping job in May . We paid 1/3 of the total price before the job started, but we had to wait until October for them to finally start. Since then, we've had constant issues with their work. The supervisor, Jose, always tries to use cheaper materials that are not right for our job. Whenever we try to talk to him about it, he says it will cost more to use the correct materials. We originally ordered big river rocks for our entire front and back yard, but he changed it to smaller ones in the middle. In our back yard, half of the rocks are big and half are small. The three trees he bought for us have a lot of holes in their leaves from insect damage, but they refused to exchange them for us. The front yard light only worked for a few days and then stopped working again. When we made the second payment in the middle of the job, they overcharged us by around $10K. Luckily, my wife caught the mistake and they corrected it. We made the final payment on time as soon as they finished most of the job. However, after receiving the last payment, they said we still owe them around $2300 for extra work. We asked for proof of these extra jobs with our signature before making the payment, but they couldn't provide it. They threatened to put a lien on our property if we don't pay. We are asking this company to replace the river rocks in our back yard with the correct size and fix our newly broken front yard light.

What the issue is about:
1) The corner planters were built too high because we needed to cover up the permanent damage on our walls caused by Proficient *** (they spread construction adhesive on all our walls and it couldn't be removed). The planters are too tall for trees. I didn't want them this high, but it was the only way to hide the damage they caused.
2) Now we have visible paint on our walls where they tried to grind down the glue and spray paint over it to fix the mistake. We also have wall "caps" standing up along the back wall to hide the glue. We don't want them. It was the only choice we had to hide the damage.
3) Proficient *** were *** in a corner of my yard by a shed. I asked "***", my contact person, to tell them to stop. He did. In the following weeks, I discovered that my small dog was eating all the small stones they were *** on. He passed over 100 stones through his intestines, but 4 stones got stuck in his stomach. The shed has been there for 10 months and he has never eaten stones before. The only reason he ate them was because they were *** on them. I have a veterinarian bill of $1,712.51 because of this incident. It wouldn't have happened if they weren't *** on the side of my house.
4) Damage was done to my street when they sent a dump truck and a Bobcat to pick up a pile of stones that should never have been delivered. The stones were the wrong size.

On July 1, Matt (owner) came to my house at *** to give me an estimate for landscaping services. Matt convinced me to buy 2 sun shades for my upper balcony and lower patio. I agreed to sign the contract for $4,500 with a $2,250 down payment, which I paid that day using my credit card. While talking to him and in the days after signing the contract, I had a feeling that I was being charged too much and didn't want the product. I called Matt on his cell phone a few days after signing the contract (he gave me his card), probably not within the 3-day period. I left a detailed voicemail explaining that I wanted to cancel the order. I also sent him a text message. He never got back to me. I called his office, and they said he was on vacation but would return my call when he came back. I never heard from him. I kept calling the store multiple times between July and December , talking to different people and explaining that I wanted to cancel my order. Every call ended up going to voicemail (where I left detailed messages about canceling) or talking to someone who "annotated" my request but couldn't help me directly. They said the manager would call me back, but I never received that call. I kept calling until I finally spoke to Jessica in November, who told me it was too late to cancel because they had already ordered the custom shades, which would arrive soon. I told her they knew I wanted to cancel, but they went ahead with the order despite my many requests and avoiding my calls. They sent me a statement dated 12/10 for a remaining balance of $1,708.12, along with 3 reminder letters dated 12/22, 1/5/22, and 1/29/22. The last one said they would involve a collection agency. I don't have the sun shades and don't want them.

On 4/19/2022 Me and my wife we ordered a shade and an awning for our backyard patio. The shade was to cover the side patio and the awning was to be 28 feet long and cover the back patio. The total cost of the project was to be $9,832.00 and we put half down, $4916.00. At the time of the order, we were told we would receive an invoice of the work to be completed. We never received an invoice of what work was to be completed and we had to call several times before receiving a handwritten receipt of the down payment. At the time of the order, we were told the shade and awning would not be installed until June. In June we were told the shade and awning would not be installed until July. On 7/23/2022 two workers showed up at my house and installed the shade but said the awning had not come in yet. On 7/25/2022, Rob, the person we ordered the shade and awning from, called and said that the manufacturer could not build the 28 foot awning we ordered because of the winds in the Las Vegas area. Rob said that they could build two separate 14 foot awnings but there would be a small gap between them. I told Rob that we were not interested in two separate awnings and if the manufacturer could not build what we wanted, then we would just cancel the order. He said he would notify the main office about our decision. I asked about an itemized invoice and refund, and he said the main office would take care of that. On 7/26/2022 Rob called again stated that the fabric for the 28 foot awning had already been ordered and that he did not want to be stuck with the cost of it. He again pushed for us to buy the two separate 14 foot awnings and I again informed him that we were not interested and told him to cancel the order. I have left several messages with the main office trying to get someone to call about getting an itemized invoice and a refund. I have had email contact with Nena R who is the showroom customer manager and ***, Neither has called or tried to resolve the issue.

Patio and covering wasn't what I should've got. The sales guy sold me the least for the most. On 6/9, a sales guy from the company came to my house and measured the patio for an extension and new cement pad. We measured for a 10x16 pad. Price was $2541.00. They had to go down to a 10x15 pad due to HOA rules. They refused to lower the price for the cement pad. Then he sold me a 10x13 patio, knowing I was gonna pour a 10x15 cement pad. He said it would cover the whole area and I didn't need to go bigger. Turns out, for the price he was charging, I could've gotten up to a 10x18 patio cover at no extra charge. I have this info in an email from the owner Jessica. They took half down and then never showed up. Finally, they did the slab work, and then never showed up. Never called, never updated us. Nothing. I called and emailed, they kept telling me the shipments were delayed because of covid 19. Well, based on reviews, that's a load of hogwash. Then she said they had to cut two feet off the end due to city rules. I said, then make it wider. She said she couldn't unless they ordered all new pieces and that would take longer and more money. Now, if you remember, I said she had told me in an email, I could've gotten a 10x18 for the same price. Now it's 3 months later, no patio cover, so I emailed them again, and said either get it in or cancel the order. Lo and behold, 2 days later here comes my canopy. They cut it off 2 feet at the end, which the inspector never asked about, it would've been fine, and they didn't go any wider so now I have a post right in the middle of my brand new slab and my patio is useless to use. I have held back payment but now they threatened to lien the property which I don't own, so I sent a check to them today, 10/28. They also hit a couple of watering lines and said nothing. This was brought up in the initial meeting with the sales guy and he assured me and the landlord if they hit any lines, it would be taken care of, well their workers never even mentioned it. We noticed the patio being flooded after the dirt work was done but before the slab was poured. Now I'm out almost $5500.00 for a non-working patio and a company who took advantage of me. I want a refund of $2500.00 or the proper canopy installed to fit the slab and for the money I paid. 10x18 minimum as she told me I could've had. It's time to make this right.
