With plate in hand I walked out to my grill, and proceeded to attempt to put these very thin, still weeping pieces of meat on it to ***. As I picked up each piece with the tongs, as suggested by the instructions on the box each piece proceeded to fall apart. It was like the longer they were exposed to oxygen without cooking the more they would disintegrate . I managed to get several pieces on my grill however which didn't smell half bad to be honest. What I ended up with was some very small, super rubbery, tasteless, very greasy pieces of meat that I couldn't properly identify the cut of or the species it came from. I am not doubting what the box said as truth, I have to assume it is beef but by looking at it, and tasting it, a guy who has been cooking steak on the grill for 30+ years couldn't confirm it as beef. I took three bites each from a different piece of meat, as I figured perhaps one of the ones I received might have been bad and by random chance I happened upon it by fate. I am sad to inform you that this wishful thinking was not the case, each new piece had the same distinct characteristics of the last. It was then I also noticed an extremely large amount of some sort of greasy residue being left on my grill, unlike anything I've seen before? I turned the *** to burn this off, which seem to be quite a task as whatever it was seem to be putting up a fight. I also noticed a very interesting film was now forming inside of my mouth, kind of like a grease, and spit my last bite of the meat out to avoid ingesting anymore. What came out of my mouth was also odd, as my saliva seem to now be grey and greasy, much different than any time I've ever eaten any meat or any food for that matter. Worse yet was attempting to wash this film out of my mouth which took several large swishes of Listerine So what did I learn? First, all that glitters is not gold & more importantly never buy discount frozen food, especially meat from the back of a truck in a parking lot!
