My 2002 Subaru Forrester was overheating badly, so I took it to Pep Boys in Dacula, Ga. They had helped me through a bad situation a couple of years prior, so I thought they were a reliable place to deal with. They ultimately replaced my radiator, thermostat, and got me to go on Ebay and buy a new reservoir. They replaced everything, and charged me about $1500. On the way home, it overheated almost as soon as I left the business, so I turned around, and took my car back. I was really upset, so I went to Nextdoor and complained about the matter. Several people who knew about cars said that they obviously hadn't done a diagnostic, and the problem was almost for sure a blown head gasket. They said it was an easy thing to diagnose, leaving me to assume that they knew my engine was blown all along, and that they did the repairs just to soak me for $1500. I can't prove that they knew it was blown already, but if numerous people online knew just from my description what it was, I'm convinced they just conned the hell out of me.

Recommendation: I highly recommend that nobody takes their car to that Pep Boys. I think they're crooks.
