On 07/03/2026, Payson Appliance Repair came to my home for a refrigerator service call. The technician cleaned the coils and immediately claimed the unit needed major parts. The estimate was first $800, then raised to $1,150 because he said the parts were “more expensive than he thought.” I paid a $950 deposit, and he stated the parts would arrive in 3–5 business days.
The next day, the refrigerator began making ice and appeared to be working normally. I informed him, but he insisted he was still waiting on parts. Since the refrigerator was functioning, I requested a refund minus the $100 service call fee.
He refused.
He never provided proof of ordering any parts, no tracking numbers, and no documentation. The repair was never completed, no parts were installed, and he will not issue a refund for the $950 deposit.
Do not do business with this company.
Claimed loss: $950 deposit for parts never ordered or installed, plus $100 service call. Total loss: $1,050.
Desired outcome: Refund the $950 deposit for unperformed repair work and unverified parts. I am not disputing the $100 service call fee.
