When I purchased the car on 7/15, I signed a debit card authorization for $500 to be taken out on 7/23. On 7/18 I was told to come sign new papers for the bank that actually accepted my loan, and when I did they informed me that the bank wanted an addition $689 as down payment. I agreed, but told the finance team it would need to wait until 7/31. I signed no debit card authorization on 7/18, the only authorization I signed for my debit card to be charged was on 7/15 for the $500 to be deducted on 7/23. However, they deducted the extra $689 on 7/27 against my wishes, and resulting in $350 in overdraft fees from my bank. When I complained to them about this, they offered to reimburse the overdraft fees if it was their fault. However, after investigating, they presented me the authorization I signed on 7/15 (with only a $500 deduction on 7/23) but they had added another deduction (the $689 on 7/25). This addition was in clearly different handwriting, and it was also not confirmed by me whatsoever, no new signature, no initials, nothing that indicates I agreed to this extra debit card charge, but they are using this document that they altered without my signature to deny me the resolution they initially offered.

I purchased a 2019 Ford Escape (cash purchase) and did not receive copies of the documents that i signed, the combination to unlock the door from the outside and only received one key fob. i have sent several emails from April 22 forward to Michael John and have not received any responses from anyone in the company.

O'Meara Ford I was lied to by the Sale Staff there times on 5/30

I was lied to by the Sale Staff there times on 5/30. First I was told that I could cosign for six (6) months. After six (6) months, my name would be removed from the contract. I provided them with a copy of my free credit report but told them they did not have permission to due a hard inquiry on my credit. The free Credit report shows that my credit score is over 800. Since I was only going to be on there for six months, that should be adequate. After I received an alert, the salesman said it was not a hard inquiry, but a soft inquiry. Later they said that I could not really cosign for six (6) months, but I could possibly refinance it after six months. Next, they lied and said they never said I could cosign for six months even though five people heard him say it. I believe that the intent was make the claim and sign me up knowing that I was going to obligated for 5 years. There was no intent finance her, but to get me to be obligated for the payment. It was one lie after the other. the lie never changed until I demanded a statement in writing that I would off of the contract in six months. Then they admitted they could not do that and lied and said they never said I would be off the contact.

O'Meara Ford On June 2 My daughter, M***, took me to O,Meara Ford to buy my first brand new car

On June 2 My daughter, M ***, took me to O,Meara Ford to buy my first brand new car. I am 77 years old and have never had a brand new car. I needed a car that I was able to get in and out of easier, transport my walker and have reliability for my transportation. We looked at Escapes and Explorers but I could not afford them living on a fixed income. We looked at the EcoSport and I drove it. I thought it would be work. ***, our salesman, brought the numbers back on the car $29,300. We told him that was too much and showed him an advertisement from another dealership for less. He took my daughters phone back to the sales area and showed the floor manager, ***. *** brought a new offer with a rebate of $4750 but that now she would not be able to receive the 0% financing. That brought the car down to $24,550. I was ok with that offer. Filled out the application for financing and find out my credit score was 787 so I shouldn't have any problems receiving financing. After waiting for awhile we were finally called back to the financing managers office, Zac to sign the papers. I signed the necessary documents. Unfortunately, there were numbers hidden and I should've looked a lot closer before signing them. The ECOSport had 59 miles on it when we left the lot. The next day (Wed. June 3) my daughter got a call from Zac saying that my loan was not approved through the credit union but that he had received approval through another credit union and that I needed to sign the papers. She told him that we would not be able to come in until Saturday to sign the new papers on the car. My daughter called me and told me what had happened. I then told her I did not want this car because I was having a hard time putting my walker in it. My daughter called the dealership back and asked for a manager. *** then answered. My daughter explained the situation when *** told her that she could not give my daughter any information because she was not on the loan and that we would need to wait until *** came back to work on Thursday to figure things out. *** also stated that Zac should've never called my daughter and told her anything. My daughter called *** on a 3 way call when *** said we would wait for *** on Thursday to figure things out. Thursday came and *** called and said that he would like for us to come in on Saturday to try to make things right. I had questioned my loan approval and was reassured that there was an original approval even though we were told there was not from the finance manger. We agreed to come in on Saturday spoke things over with *** who said he understood the situation and would like to make it right. Keep in mind, we drove the ECOSport to the dealership and it had less than 150 miles on it. We look and test drove 2 used minivans and decided on a 2018 Dodge Caravan priced at $18,400 and that was much easier for me to get my walker in and out of. We went back into the dealership when *** brought the offer back from *** who was the manager making the offers, saying that they would now trade the ECOSport for $15,300. We said NO WAY! That would make me upside down $10,000-$15,000 from the start! My daughter was furious and spoke with *** and *** about this deal and how TERRIBLE it was! My daughter, to her regret, used foul language and told them that we would not accept the deal and that she would be reporting this deal to the ComplaintsBoard.com, google reviews, possibly problem solvers and researching if a claim could be put in of taking advantage of the elderly. This is where we are now. Stuck with this car that I struggle putting my walker in. We reviewed the contract the find out that we were charged separately for the optional equipment and were never told that. When I came to the dealership my car was paid for. I only received a $500 trade in on it. I now have a debt of almost $30,872.70 for a car that does not fit me. I wanted to try to make it right by returning the ECOSport and buying a used car that would fit me but anyone in their right mind would not have taken the deal of trading in a car I had just purchased 5 days earlier for around $25,000 and having 59 miles on it to receive a trade in offer for $15,300 and the car having 145 miles on it. If things cannot be changed at more reasonable terms, I will NEVER EVER recommend to anyone O'Meara Ford as this experience was the VERY WORST I have ever had buying a car. Not to mention the waste of time we wasted on Saturday to be given a complete terrible offer.
