On Wednesday, November 12th I had an appointment with Dr Capuzzi at 1:45. We (wife and I) arrived there at 1:20 and checked in with the assistant at the desk. We sat there until 2:15 while several patients were called and taken back. Then we were taken back to an exam room at 2:15 where the nurse took my vitals and discussed mediations being taken etc. She said the Dr would be in shortly. He never came in so at 2:45 we left the exam room and noticed that there wasn't even anyone at the nurses station in the adjacent hallway. We then proceeded to the check out window and waited to speak with an attendant there while she finished up what appeared to be a personal phone call. She then gave us a blank stare and asked what did we need. I said "we have been waiting in the exam room for 1/2 hour and the doctor has not been in so we were leaving. (I might add at this point that my wife has stage 4 bone cancer and also stage 4 kidney failure, so being asked to wait for that long becomes a very uncomfortable situation.
During a previous visit to the same office the A/C was so cold that it was very uncomfortable. The staff had posted a sign - sorry for the cold temp but we have not control over the temperature settings in the building. During Wednesday's visit the room was very warm and I noticed several waiting patients complaining about the temp and some were nodding off after sitting there for some time.
To follow up on this situation I have made a phone call to that office, explaining that I was the patient that left and would like to have the doctor or a member of his staff to give me the results of x-rays that I had taken at another office the same morning that was to be interpreted by Dr Capuzzi. I did not receive a call or any communication on Thursday, so I called again on Friday morning with the same request. So far I have not received any call or other type of communication form Dr. Capuzzi or his staff.
Since the interpretation of those x-rays is an important next step in trying to diagnosis a major medical problem and Dr Capuzzi is being very reluctant to address this complaint what am I expected to do next?
Claimed loss: Doctors interpretation of x-rays
Desired outcome: Doctors interpretation of s-rays
