I am 72 years old and live in Montgomery, Texas. On Easter Sunday, 2026, my refrigerator went out. The next day, I looked online for repairmen in my geographical area. The Servicemen Repair came up. I called around 2pm and asked if they could come out. They said that they would be out in around an hour. They finally showed up at 6p.m. George (Surname Unknown), the owner of the company came out with his journeyman, Aidan McGowan. The tested for a leak but said that the compressor went out, and that a door gasket needed replacement. They worked until 11:30 pm. At that time I asked for a bill with a statement of warranty. George said that he would order a gasket and be out shortly to replace the broken gasket. He sent me a statement. He asked that I pay into his journeyman's account by Zelle the amount of $991.29. I did so. After that, I noticed that the statement did not include the 2 year warranty on the work that he had represented. He said that he sent me the new statement with warranty and then left my house. When I looked at the 2nd document he had texted, it was the same as the first, with no warranty listed. I went to bed. When I got up the next morning, the refrigerator was making an extremely loud noise when the compressor came on, and the icemaker was not working (which had worked prior to their service call). I texted and told him of the issues. Over the next 2 weeks I texted repeatedly asking when they would come back to complete repairs and bring the gasket for which they had charged $138.00. After many promises to come back out, they quit responding to my text messages. Two weeks later, the refrigerator is still making the very loud noise, the icemaker still not working, the gasket never delivered and installed, and no statement recognizing the payment made by Zelle or setting the warranty that was promised. I went to their website and wrote a review of all that had happened. The review was not posted.

Claimed loss: I want a refund of the $991.29 that I paid. In addition to fraudulent repair services, I consider their behavior to be Elder Abuse and I am concerned for other elderly customers who could be taken advantage of by this company and these men.

Desired outcome: Repair of my refrigerator or refund of the $991.29 that I have paid them.
