I didn't like seeing Joy Reid go, but held my tongue. Now, you've eliminated Ayman's weekend shows, and replaced them with The Weekend, a much weaker, less informative, less interesting show wherein 4 people talk over (less so Ayman himself) and at each other. Ayman's own airtime was far better! He, more than other evening MSNBC pundits/anchors, focused on the war in Gaza, Ukraine, the famine in Sudan. He brought a perspective that others rarely do. We need that.
And, why are you replacing other esteemed anchors with "committees"? The new Weeknight suffers from the tiresome dynamic of three people interrupting each other, interrupting guests, failing to reach clarity. I happen to like each of the three individually, but all at once? NO. I became a loyal MSNBC evening viewer during the 2020 presidential campaign. I now will confine myself to Rachel Maddow on Mondays and Chris Hayes occasionally. It's back to PBS Newshour for me!
I find it difficult to watch Simone Sanders-Townsend. Her constantly flailing hands are claws waving in the air. She needs to tame the nails. Maybe she just needs to sit on her hands. She also should work with a voice coach to reduce the screechinh.
