this company is a joke. they charged me over $600 for less than an hour of work just to replace a faucet on my hand sink. i can't believe they get away with this kind of robbery. i would never recommend them to anyone. stay away from mr. rooter plumbing at all costs.

2 dudes came over to fix my plumbing and they were pretty cool. They seemed like they knew what they were doing and wanted to do a good job. I appreciate the effort. Only thing that kinda sucked was not knowing when they were gonna show up. I get that jobs can take a while, but it would be nice to have a general idea like morning or afternoon.

We used Mr. Rooter for a clog. A few days after the fix, the clog came back and raw sewage was backing up into a tub and toilet. We called Mr. Rooter and they said they were booked all day and all night for the next 4 days (over a weekend) and would have to wait until Monday for warranty service. I asked if we could schedule an after-hours call and they said they were already booked. We called another plumber and he fixed the problem. I called the owner of Mr. Rooter, Mr. Vinson. He said that this was not their policy and that warranty work was a priority and apologized for the service desk's response to my call. He offered to reimburse me for the cost of the other plumber's services. I sent him the bill at his request. I heard nothing for over two weeks so I resent the bill with a reminder of our conversation. I heard nothing in response. I called and left a message and heard nothing. I don't recommend using Mr. Rooter as they don't honor their warranty and it seems the owner sets the tone as his word to make things right were just words. A bad way to treat a customer.

I called Mr. when my new septic tank was backing up. I've used them before and thought they were trustworthy. A tech came and cleared the line for $262.50 with my military discount. But, the backup came back in two days. I told the tech about my new tub, but he said he couldn't work under the house. Another tech came and found a plumbing problem in the crawl space. He fixed it for $763.50 with my military discount. I called the owner (***) about the 90 day warranty, but he put me off for weeks. I think I should get a refund for the first job because it was just a bandaid. Mr. says it was two different problems, but that's not true. They didn't honor their 90 day guarantee. I won't use them again. As a long time customer, I expected better treatment. $262.50 is a lot for a retired person, but Mr. didn't care.

I had a bad experience with Mr. Rooter Plumbing. The boss was mean and didn't respect me when I asked why I had to pay almost $500 for a new shower head and knobs. They didn't even have to cut anything! The first plumber said he had to take out the sink to fix the leak and wanted to charge me almost $600! Another plumber came and just replaced the shower head. I asked for a boss to check if it was right. My renter told me that Gerald the boss said the first plumber didn't know what he was doing. He gave me $100 back because they didn't need to move the sink. Later, my builders found out there were leaking valves when they replaced my sink. I called Mr. Rooter and told them the first plumber was right and there was a pipe downstairs that needed fixing. They quoted me $348. I thought I had to pay too much for the small job they did the first time and they got it all wrong anyway! They finally fixed everything and called me for payment. I asked to talk to the boss about getting a credit for the mistake. He got mad and said I was trying to cheat him. I told him I felt cheated. I hoped he would understand my worries and maybe the quote was wrong. He said we didn't get along and to just pay his worker. I asked how to talk to Mr. Rooter and he said he was Mr. Rooter!

Mr. Rooter worked on a significant project for our business in 2018 and again in 2019. Throughout the project, the employees were friendly and respectful and were willing to answer any of our questions. They worked from early morning until late at night on at least one occasion. They spent days trying to find a line deep in the ground with no help or knowledge from anyone at our business about where the line could be located. They were covered in mud and exhausted from digging in clay with shovels because using machinery could have damaged our property. The company owner returned all our calls and called us himself numerous times to provide updates. We were so pleased with the work, and we recommend Mr. Rooter Plumbing to anyone.

7/28 Mr Rooter sent me a bill for $665 to replace the faucet on the south wall of my house. They said they would "CUT WALL AND REPLACE FROST PROOF BIBB". On 8/12, the plumber came and fixed the faucet from the outside WITHOUT ASKING ME. I had to pay the bill even though I didn't want them to fix it that way. The faucet started leaking again in a few weeks. Mr Rooter said they wouldn't fix it because it had been more than 90 days. I want my money back because they did a bad job and didn't ask me first.

I agreed to the additional charge. The sink still wouldn't drain after the faucet was replaced, so the "professional" snaked the drain and charged me an additional 200. Overall, I paid almost 1000 for a leaking faucet and a clogged sink. The work was done, but I feel like I was taken advantage of. I won't be using Mr. Rooter Plumbing again.

Mr. Rooter didn't take out the busted sidewalk or put in a new one like they said they would. They were supposed to make the city happy, but they didn't. I hired them to switch out a drain line at 3408 Alpine Street. When they gave me the price, I asked if it included working with the city to get rid of the old sidewalk and put in a new one. They said "yes." They got rid of the old sidewalk and put it on the curb for pick up. I asked the worker if he wanted me to bring a trailer so he could load it with his excavator. He said "no," and Mr. Rooter would have the city pick it up. Mr. Rooter didn't set up the pick up of the old sidewalk. The city pick up left a note on the mess saying that the people who broke up the sidewalk had to get rid of it. The city doesn't pick up building mess. I called Mr. Rooter to offer to bring a trailer so they could load it. They said "no." They didn't just refuse to move the old concrete, they refused to call me back. I had to pay someone else to bring equipment and get rid of the broken concrete. Mr. Rooter still hasn't put in the new city sidewalk. I did everything I could to help Mr. Rooter get rid of the old concrete. They said "no" to working with me and didn't call me back. I used Mr. Rooter before for my drain work.

I called Mr. Rooter Plumbing on 01/30/2023 for a complete cleanout of my yard's *** line that went under my house. It cost me $262.00. The first person they sent out didn't clean the line fully. I called back and they sent another person out, and this time the line was completely cleaned, but they also broke the *** line under my house! I called back and someone came out on 03/05/2023. The technician said there was nothing he could do, but the last tech should have put lime down. Anyway, if he fixed it, he would get paid for the ***, and the person that fixed it would not! But he would turn it into the office, and his boss would have to get lime for the tech to repair. So I called the office twice today, and I was told the manager said he is not sending anyone back out! My husband has lung problems and congested heart failure. He is on oxygen, and the *** in our house is horrible. It smells like mildew and raw sewage. I want this problem fixed. I trusted this company to fix our problem without any issues. This is a serious concern for my husband with his health conditions. I don't understand this company leaving the smell of raw sewage and mildew smelling under my house when I made them aware of my husband's health problems! This problem should have been resolved with no issues and completed. I don't recommend anyone to do business with this company.

But today, March 6th, I have been waiting for over five hours for someone to call me or show up to fix the problem again. It's been a huge stress for me as I am a single woman with a daughter who has congestive heart failure. I have called their office a few times but they just hang up on me and nothing is ever fixed properly. The warranty is coming to a close and I feel like they are putting me off so I would have to pay additional charges. The customer service has been very unprofessional. I know the seller paid for only the services at hand, but now I have to pay for more than I was expecting. It's not just a leak, but a tremendous amount of water. The young man who came the fourth time said there was much more to the plumbing issues that was billed to the seller.

On Jan 20, 2020, I had a sewer backup and called Mr. Rooter of Huntsville. They said they'd pump the septic tank and if that didn't work, a plumber would come with a camera. They pumped one section and charged $510. The plumber came without a camera, pulled the commode, ran a rooter, and unstopped the sewer line for $255. On Jan 21, it stopped up again, and the plumber did the same thing. On Jan 24, they said roots were running in the sewer and had to remove electric lines across the septic tank lines. On Jan 25, the lines were removed, but they had to come back on Jan 27 to unstop the sewer. In January, the plumber fixed some tub issues for $265. On Feb 1, it stopped up again, and they sent a tank truck to do a second run and unstopped the sewer. On Feb 5, it stopped up again, and they ran a camera and said the plumbing had to be replaced. They unstopped the sewer, and on Feb 7, they replaced the plumbing and put in a cleanout for $2,548.40. The renter had seizures and couldn't drive, so they had to go outside in the cold for the bathroom and had no shower from Jan 20 to Feb 7. I had to buy them a dishwasher for $691.98. The total cost was $4,173.40. If they had brought the camera the first time, this wouldn't have happened. I'm an 80-year-old woman caring for a man with cancer in Florida, and I feel like they took advantage of me. The poor renter had to suffer.
