Working for a company for 41 years and all I knew about 401K plans was sign and let other people manage my money. It would go up a little then drop below what I had put in. When I questioned it, all I got was "It's for the long term, just wait". Then I had to have 3 surgeries in 6 months and was unable to return to work. I didn't know that I had to leave the company in order to collect my LTD which is only 60% of my pay. That's another thing I was unaware of. Anyway, I got a letter that I had to move my funds from the 401K or they would mail the money to me minus 20% + 10% penalty for early withdrawal. I said "Hell No" and went online to find something different, something secure, that my money that I had left could grow and work for me. That's when I decided on investing in precious metals. Something that would be there even when the market crashes again. So I called Monetary Metals and Brandon Smith answered the phone. This was something I should have done years ago. Brandon went over all my options and answered my questions in a way that solidified my confidence in what and how I was going about doing it. When I was comfortable in my decision, he switched me over to Andrea Powers to go through the transfer. She offered to assist in the transfer and I gladly accepted. It was just her presence with me that I didn't have to worry about added fees, red tape, delays, or being confused by the other investment firm's tactics. They were not in control, I was with Andrea. She took all of the things I was worried about out of the picture with her knowledge and professionalism. She put me at ease, like Brandon, confident in what and how I was going about doing it. The transfer went through smoothly, without any problems. I was so impressed with Monetary Gold that I contacted them again later to roll my pension plan over to precious metals also. And again, it was a smooth and painless transfer also. I am still in contact with Brandon and Andrea from time to time. They will contact me just to see how things are going and if they can assist in any way. That makes me feel as if I'm someone important, oh wait, I am important. They just helped me to see it!
