I got Monarch Roofing to fix my roof. They said it would cost $624.23. They fixed it in 45 minutes with 2 guys, but they billed me for 3 hours of work. They also charged me for 6 step flashings when they only used 1. And they billed me for 0.25 % of a 100 ft roll of GAF WeatherWatch Ice & Water Shield, even though they only used 12 feet. When I called to complain, the guy laughed at me. I think they should lower the estimate to the real price of the job.

New metal roof installation took over 30 days, but it's still not finished. There's been damage to the siding and trim, and I've been trying to get help from a general manager named Poir for the metal roofing construction. The areas under the roof were left exposed to the elements, and they even pulled off some trim, leaving the siding exposed to the weather. They tried to fix it by nailing it together, but it broke again. I've asked for a supervisor's assistance multiple times, but they haven't paid any attention to my requests. The process started around June 10th (they removed the original roof before that), and it's still not done. The lower parts of my house got flooded because they didn't install drain pipes properly. Nails are popping up everywhere on the patio below the roof. The workers don't show up for days, and I haven't received any response from Trip H, the commercial manager. My neighbor even saw one of the roofers urinating from the rooftop, which is just unacceptable. I've tried to contact Marin P, the president of Monarch, but I haven't heard back from them yet.

Monarch Roofing came to us in June and talked to us about the roof damage caused by a hail storm in the spring. They sent an inspector who confirmed the damage, and they said they would discuss the price and schedule for replacing the roof. They also promised to take precautions to protect our landscaping, driveways, and other permanent fixtures on the property, such as AC condensers and spa machinery. They assured us that they would use tarps and planks to cover the AC and spa units, and that they would clean up all the shingles, nails, and materials after the job was done.

However, on the day of the job, the workers used tarps that were not properly secured and were just blowing in the wind. As a result, many of our shrubs were stepped on and damaged. The boxwood that was supposed to protect the spa compressor and motor was not covered and was completely ignored. To make matters worse, shingles were dumped in the compressor area, causing a hedge of six dogwoods to be ruined. Now, the spa doesn't work, and we need to replace many of our shrubs.

Monarch Roofing salesman said one thing. We paid them all. Now the price went up. We can't agree on repairs. We want our money back. We called Monarch Roofing to discuss fixing our roof. The salesman was nice and polite and made us feel comfortable about fixing our roof. He gave us a price of $9997.00 to repair the roof. They inspected the roof and attic really well. They said they would fix the roof, including the sagging part, which was our main concern. We paid them in full on 5/23. Looking back, I know that was a mistake now. They finally came on 7/14 to do the work and found more damage that we had asked to be included in the original estimate. They found out that the roof framing was bad. We told them that in the beginning. According to Monarch Roofing, there would be an additional $5800.00 in costs, on top of the original estimate. So, a total of $15797.00. We told the salesman that we only had 10 thousand to spend at first. The additional damage could be seen from the attic because I personally went up and saw it myself. The whole roof frame needs to be replaced. Once they opened up the roof, they changed their mind. All we want is a fair refund of the money we have left. James G wants to charge $500.00 to return or restock the roofing supplies. We didn't receive all the roofing supplies. He also wants to sell me plywood. I don't want any of their supplies. They haven't been installed on my home, so I don't want them. We have a few supplies in the front yard. That's it. I don't think Monarch is going to be fair with us. They don't have a good track record so far. We paid upfront and have been put on the back burner. We just want to move on. We asked James G for a refund on 7/22, after going back and forth trying to work out a deal for a few days now. He said he has a lot of jobs and will get to us when he can. I think James G wants to try to scam us out of as much money as he can since he won't do the job and delay our refund out of spite.
