Boots are built in a manner that is borderline fraud. The 'thick' 'hard' soles are actually a 1/16" coating which grants the appearance of toughness but wears out in weeks revealing a soft sponge that crumbles to the touch.

They know the boots are garbage because thinking back to the time of sale the cashier strongly emphasized they will not accept returns except for faulty workmanship. You've lost both Mark's and Dakota have lost a customer for life.

Claimed loss: $150 (+tax)

Desired outcome: They go out of business, and the management decides to commit seppuku. A full refund being a more reasonable alternative.
