I contacted this breeder in July, 2011. I was looking for a long haired, black and white fold eared male kitten. She assured me she got them often. In order to guarantee I would get my pick she asked for a deposit of $425.00 I asked what her refund policy was and she responded: ONCE YOU HAVE PICKED OUT A KITTEN THAN THE DEPOSIT IS
NONREFUNDABLE. MY DEPOSITS FOR A FOLDED EARS ARE 425.00
THIS IS ONLY REFUNDABLE IF WE DO NOT HAVE A KITTEN OF THE
COLOR THAT YOU WANT. THE DEPOSIT IS A GUARANTEE THAT
YOU WILL GET A KITTEN, AS THE FOLDS ARE THE FIRST TO BE
PICKED. THANKS TONI
Well I waited and kept checking with her, none of her kittens were black and white until Oct., she had one black/white/silver van available. A van is a white cat w/ a little black on its head and possibly some black on its rump or tail. I did not want a white or silver, I wanted a black and white kitten. I went thru all of 2012, she had no black and whites. In January, 2013 I asked for a refund, but she started stalling, telling me she had personal issues, that she may not be breeding until fall, on and on. I told her no, I had waited long enough, she did not get the color I originally asked for. We went back and forth and in March she agreed to refund $125, she would pay the rest later. I waited until fall, she kept stalling, I even offered to take payments. Then she stopped responding to my emails and refused to take my calls. In spite of her claim that she refunds deposits if she does not have the coloration the buyer is looking for, she does not. I want everyone to know she is not to be believed. BUYER BEWARE.

I totally disagree with the complaint. That woman must have deep seeded emotional issues. Not only did she lead this elderly woman on for over 18 months, she then took financial advantage of her good heart and nature ( in legal terms it is called Fiduciary Abuse of the Elderly). I have TWO amazing folds from Toni. One is almost 7 and the new one is almost 2 years old. I never had an issue understanding the terms of our agreement, Toni is very honest and a pleasure to deal with. In fact she is so nice I can see how someone could take advantage of her. I'm sorry she ( Toni ) had to deal with such a person. For anyone looking for a healthy, well cared for quality Scottish Fold this is the only Cattery I would recommend. For someone who has been in business for over 15 years with only one complaint, mind you it is not about her kittens/cats but about money, you really have to take a look at the source. Maybe Ms Suzanne Cruise's business was not doing well in this economy (yes you can google her - I tend to do my research ) so she had to make up some reason to force Toni to refund the deposit she so freely gave in the beginning. I think if you talk to any of Toni's past customers you would find a consensus that not only is she honest, fair and caring, she has amazing kittens/cats! I would recommend her to anyone. In fact before I purchased my second one, I googled one of her kittens (owned by a very infamous person) to see her coloring, she (the kitten) has her own twitter site. As I said before, consider the source of this complaint, I would only recommend this Cattery if you are looking for a quality Fold. That's why I have TWO of Toni's Cats. D. S. Esq

I completely disagree with your review.. This breeder was a pleasure to work with! I have also asked about her deposit and return policy and she stated she normally does not take a deposit unless a kitten has already been picked. So for her to accept your deposit in hopes of having a kitten to suit your needs (which sounds very picky by the way) sounds like a favor to me. I had no problems with payment, delivery etc. breeder was great! and everybody I had spoken to before buying highly recommended. To be in business over 15 years and only have one single complaint I find pretty good. Maybe you should take into consideration all the breeding she had to do trying to come up with a "perfect" cat for your needs, all the homes she had to try and find for her kittens when they weren't 100% to your standards, all the food, time and energy she spent the last couple years in hopes of fulfilling your request. I can understand some of your frustration, but just like in an auto body shop or other business, they take partial payment down for parts, paint etc... if you come back and don't want the job done 3 years later you probably wont get your money back on the parts or paint. MY CAT IS AMAZING, don't let one upset customer who expects the world to cater to them change your decision on purchasing a cat through her! if you have real expectations you will be happy with the purchase!
