I recently had a terrible experience with ***@lunss_couture. I ordered my daughter's prom dress almost two months ago and paid for rush shipping. I was assured that it would be ready in time for her senior prom on April 5th. However, I had to email them every other day to make sure everything was on track.

Yesterday, they emailed me a picture confirmation that the dress was ready. But this morning, I received another email stating that it was a different customer's dress and that they were still waiting for the fabric to arrive. They said it would not be ready for another week. This was devastating news, as my daughter's prom is next Friday.

If they had been honest with us three weeks ago, we could have had another option. But they didn't, and now my daughter has no dress for her senior prom. I would strongly advise against doing business with Lunss. If you have another option, please use it.

First off, Lunss seems to be totally legit. Lots of users have raved about the dresses they've bought from the site. And they offer a bunch of different payment options, so you can choose the one that works best for you. Plus, their customer service line is super easy to get in touch with if you have any questions or concerns.

I also checked out their Trustpilot score, and it's a solid 7.1/10. Sure, there's one unhappy customer who complained that their dress was too small, but everyone else seems to be giving Lunss five stars. And I even found a Reddit user who posted pictures of herself wearing a Lunss dress and gushing about how excited she was.

Now, let's talk about the prices. They're definitely reasonable - not too good to be true or anything like that. But here's the thing: shipping can take a while. Even if you pay an extra $70 or so to rush your order, it'll still take almost three weeks to arrive. So if you're ordering a dress for prom, a wedding, a pageant, or whatever, make sure you give yourself plenty of time. Like, at least 8-10 weeks. Don't wait until the last minute and then get mad when your dress doesn't show up in time. Each product is handmade, so it takes time to make sure it's perfect for you.

Don't get me wrong, they do send you photos of your custom dress before they ship it out, but let me tell you, those photos were not even close to what I had in mind. They were so different from the original design that I was left feeling misled and frustrated.

What's worse is that I wasn't even told about the changes they were going to make to my dress. I only found out after I had already accepted the order and the dress was completed. And to make matters worse, I could only get a 40% refund at that point. It really makes me wonder if they're just happy to take on any custom design, regardless of whether or not they can actually pull it off.

When I finally received the dress, I was pretty disappointed. It was way too big and clearly made to fit a generic mannequin, despite the measurements I had sent in. And the material? Let's just say it was not high quality. The sleeves were completely different from what I had asked for, and the skirt was just plain awkward. It looked like I was smuggling a deflated bike tire in the hem of the skirt. And when I tried to wear it, the top kept stretching, rolling, and pulling down, exposing way more than I wanted to show.

Honestly, these issues were not even close to being obvious from the posed photo on the mannequin. And as a result, the dress is completely non-functional. It's a real shame, because I was really excited about this custom dress. But unfortunately, Lunss just couldn't deliver.

I gotta say, I had a pretty bad experience with Lunss. I ordered a custom dress for my wedding and boy was I disappointed. When I got the dress, it was practically see-through because it was unlined! I mean, come on, who wants to wear a dress like that on their wedding day? And to make matters worse, the pleats were all uneven and the details I asked for were missing. I tried to get them to fix it, but they only offered me a tube top bra (which wouldn't work with the deep v-neck), to mail it back (at my own expense) and wait for them to fix it (less than a month before my wedding), or to make me a new dress at 80% of the cost (over $200!). None of those options were feasible for me, so I only got a 20% refund. And get this, they even had the nerve to argue with me that I should have known there was no lining because of their pictures on a white mannequin! Like, what kind of excuse is that? They didn't even list that it wasn't lined, and they told me in the beginning that they would line the bodice. And then they had the audacity to tell me that the reason the dress in the picture I sent looked good was because of Photoshop! I mean, seriously? The dress I based my design on was way better quality and fully lined, and it was only a little more expensive than the custom dress I got from Lunss. So, yeah, I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.

Lunss was a complete disaster for me. I can't believe I trusted them with my court wedding dress. I couldn't afford the Ashi Studio design, so I thought I'd ask these guys if they could sew me something similar. They assured me that they could sew the design, but instead of admitting that they couldn't do it, they sent me a horrible looking thing that couldn't even fit me. They claimed that it couldn't fit because I sent them the wrong measurements, but they had nothing to say about the awful design they made. What they sent me doesn't even remotely look like the Ashi design. They wrapped the dress like a piece of trash in a tiny bag. The packaging was so horrible that the boning of the petticoat inside was so badly bent that they could not get straight, even after 4 hours of ironing, the boning never got back its shape. It was destroyed. I asked them to give me back half of the $350 I paid for this, but they wouldn't give me anything. I've been back and forth with them and my bank for months, and they still won't give me anything. I paid $350 for garbage. Even if this dress fit, it looks so horrible that it's unwearable. Please, everyone, learn from my mistake. DO NOT DO ANY KIND OF BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND SEND YOU TRASH. I've attached 2 photos below. The actual design of the dress I sent to them and what I received from them. Judge for yourself. These people are thieves.

My daughter's dress from LUNSS was absolutely stunning! She received so many compliments on it and it looked even better in person than it did in the pictures. The sequins were so sparkly and beautiful, and she was worried that they would be itchy, but the dress was lined with two separate layers that went all the way from the top to the bottom, so it was incredibly comfortable.

We had originally found a dress in a store that she loved, but it was too big at the top, too long, and the beading was coming loose at the neckline. Plus, the belt was messed up and there was no way to latch it. The dress was priced at $399.00, and we knew that we would have to spend at least another $100 on alterations. Instead, we decided to have the same dress custom made by LUNSS to her exact measurements, and it cost us about half the price. Nancy was so helpful and patient with all of our questions and concerns.

This was actually the third prom dress that we've had made by LUNSS. The first two times, Tansy was our designer, and this time we worked with Nancy. Both designers were an absolute pleasure to work with.

If I had any suggestions for future customers, I would say to start early with your customization. If your prom is in March or April, start in December or January. We were a bit worried this year because we didn't realize that prom was going to be on March 9th instead of mid-April like it usually is. We started the customization on February 5th and paid extra for express delivery, but it was so worth it!

Another suggestion would be to always customize your dress instead of just ordering the size you normally wear. You'll be much happier with the fit, and you won't have to get it altered at all. Finally, make sure that you have someone professional take your measurements or use the size guide with descriptions and pictures of where to measure. Don't try to measure yourself because your measurements will be wrong, and you won't be happy with your dress.

Overall, we had an amazing experience with LUNSS, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a beautiful, custom-made dress. And don't forget to add the built-in bra!

Bad service, bad dress

I ordered a dress from Lunss for my brother's wedding. It's in March, so I ordered it in November. The dress arrived on Thanksgiving Day, but there was no packing slip and none of the tags had any information other than the store's name.

I tried the dress on as soon as I opened the package, but it wouldn't zip up. It wasn't just a little too small, there was a 7-inch gap in the back. There was no way I could wear this dress or even have it tailored. They would need to add a whole panel of fabric to it, and even then, it would never look right.

I let my mother try on the dress, just in case I was going crazy. I ordered a size 14, but the dress was tight on her, and she's a size 8.

So I emailed Lunss, politely explaining that I think they sent the wrong dress (even the color didn't match the bride's swatch from a month ago), and asked for the next size up. But all I got back was a response saying they sent the right dress and asking for photos of my measurements to verify any mistakes with the dress.

I took close-up photos of the measuring tape in my bra and panties, twisting it a bit to get a straight-on photo of the numbers. But the email I got back said I wasn't measuring in the right spot and that I needed to get the measurements done by a seamstress. So I took almost naked photos of myself measuring myself in front of a full-length mirror, being careful not to move the tape for the photos. I sent what some countries would call porn to a dressmaker over the internet. (And the dress is still the wrong color!)

I'm worried I'll have to buy a whole new dress, still in the wrong color, and even if I do, it'll be the wrong size again. If that's the case, I'll be out over $300 for clothes I can't even wear. This dress wasn't customized; I ordered a size 14, just a size 14, no additions, no alterations... nothing. So why is it so hard to get the dress sent back and get a different one?

Overall, I'm extremely disappointed with Lunss. The dress was poorly made, the customer service was terrible, and I'm out a lot of money for nothing. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.
