Liberty Home Guard What is worse than negative stars?

Cliff note version: DO NOT USE LIBERY HOME GUARD if you expect them to have any decency, honesty, or if you expect them to actually help.

I submitted a claim on October 31, 2023 due to my home heater not working and it remains broken as I write on December 6, 2023 December 12, 2023 December 22, 2023. A Liberty technician was sent, and he reported that the pressure switch was the issue. Because labor for install is not included, I had my technician out to install the new switch only to find out that Liberty sent the wrong pressure switch. So at this point I have paid the $125 claim fee and a $150 service call fee for my technician even though he could not replace the part because Liberty made a mistake. After it was brought to Liberty’s attention that the part was incorrect, the new part would NOT be released until I returned the incorrect part to USPS. They also refuse to reimburse me for the claim fee or the service call fee that was wasted because of their error.

Once I returned the incorrect part, I had to wait on the next shipment. The next shipment included the correct pressure switch AND other parts that were 'accidently' ordered. Again requiring me to make a trip to USPS for Liberty’s mistake.

During this time, I called my technician to install the correct pressure switch. Despite the part being replaced, and having to pay another service fee to my technician, the unit is still not working.

I called Liberty once again to let them know the issue is not resolved and the issue was not what their technician said it was. The first call, the individual said a technician should give me a call in 1-2 business days and there would not be an added fee because it was within the 60 day window from the start of the claim. I did not receive a call, so I called back. Upon my second call to Liberty, since their technician had not reached out, I was told there would be another $80 fee for the technician to come back out to diagnose the issue. The individual with Liberty that I spoke to even asked me to send a diagnosis report from my technician. My tech was only at my house to install the part that Liberty’s tech previously said I needed. I did not employ my technician for anything more as I have a home warranty company that should be able to do what a home warranty is supposed to do. I made it clear that the Liberty technician needed to be dispatched and that I would not be paying the $80. I logged into the website today to find a message that my claim was on hold. I received the following message: “You are seeing this notification because we have either attempted to contact you and have been unsuccessful, or because we are awaiting information from you in order to progress your claim. Please contact us at your earliest convenience so we can resolve this hold. The best way to do so is by using our live chat feature below, or by calling us.”

This is despite the fact that I received a call from someone at Liberty yesterday and spoke with someone about my claim. I informed them once again that the heater was still broken. The intended part was finally sent to me by Liberty and my technician was able to install it. Despite that part being installed, as directed by the Liberty technician, the heater is still not working. I spoke to yet another individual this morning and she restated the same things with no comprehension as to why I will not be paying more or doing the work for Liberty. I have a 2 year old and a 3 year old and have not had a heater for all of November and December. Even without children, this is not acceptable.

I will give Liberty credit for training their customer services representatives well. They sound like well programed computers that can calmly restate the exact same thing again and again and again even when it makes no sense.

Even after a technician was sent back out and agreed the unit needed to be replaced, LHG tried to offer me $500 in lieu of the contractual cap amount of $2000 per the contract. Another round of calling them, waiting, explaining simple facts to them, and not getting anywhere. Again, the claim for my heater was submitted on October 31, 2023. It is now December 12, 2023

December 22, 2023 and I still do not have a functioning heater. Liberty remains incapable of calling back when they say they will and will not respond to emails. Policy section H.2. states, “We have the right to request purchase records, repair / installation records, maintenance records, certifications, and home inspection reports, among other pieces of evidence, for any reason at any time, including but not limited to reviewing any claims, or reviewing Our decision to deny any claims. Should you not provide Us with the aforementioned pieces of evidence, We reserve the right to limit or deny Your repair, replacement, and / or cash in lieu of repair or replacement.” Section H.3. also states, “All Covered items must be in place and in proper working order on the Effective Date of this Agreement. This Agreement does not cover any known or unknown pre-existing conditions.”

I only have a home warranty policy (because clearly they are a scam) as I received it with the purchase of my home. With the purchase of a home, I do not have maintenance records. I offered to send the home inspection, and despite that proving the system was in working order, they would not accept the inspection and provide the correct contribution amount.

I’m out $275 because of Liberty’s scam and even more in the time spent following up, pushing my claim since they wouldn’t, being home for technicians, and returning parts for them.

Recommendation: Do not use!

Liberty Home Guard I have no words for how awful liberty is

I would give negative stars if I could.

Recap: Liberty's technician told Liberty what the issue was. Liberty eventually sent the correct part. Because labor is not included, it was stated that I could use their technician or my own. Mine could get to the house faster, so I had my own tech install the part. The part did not fix the issue. Liberty will not send their tech back out without my paying additional fees or me having my technician coming back out to run a diagnosis. DO NOT USE YOUR OWN TECH.

I will give Liberty credit for training their customer services representatives well. They sound like well programed computers that can calmly restate the exact same thing again and again and again even when it makes no logical sense.

Liberty Home Guard Liberty Home Guard: The Perfect Home Warranty Service to Protect Your Home!

I gotta say, Liberty Home Guard is the bee's knees! I had a chat with one of their sales reps named Alex, and he really knew his stuff. He told me what was covered under their policy and what wasn't, which I really appreciated. I talked to some other companies, and they just told me what I wanted to hear, ya know? But something was fishy with their prices, gotta say.

But with Liberty, I knew exactly what I was getting. And their reviews were top-notch, too! I'm really happy I went with them. My home is now covered against any unexpected repairs or replacements, and I can sleep better at night knowing Liberty has got my back. If you're looking for a home warranty service, Liberty Home Guard is definitely the way to go!

Liberty Home Guard Liberty Home Guard: Surprisingly Great Home Warranty Service!

I gotta say, I wasn't expecting much from Liberty Home Guard when I signed up for their home warranty service. But let me tell ya, they surprised me in the best way possible! When my AC unit, which was already looking pretty rusty and old, broke down, I was worried. I mean, most home warranty companies exclude anything related to rust and corrosion. But guess what? Liberty didn't use that as an excuse to deny my claim!

At first, I was a little skeptical - how could rust not be at least partially to blame for my AC's breakdown? But after Liberty's technician came out to inspect the unit, I learned that the rust wasn't actually the main issue. Instead, it was some other kind of malfunction that had nothing to do with the rust! And you know what that meant? That's right, my claim was covered!

Fast forward a few days, and my AC was up and running smoothly - all thanks to Liberty Home Guard. The best part? They covered the entire $1,100 repair bill. I mean, I don't know about you, but that's a lot of money to me - especially during these tough times. I was so grateful that I didn't have to pay out of pocket for such a big expense.

Overall, I'm so happy with the service I received from Liberty Home Guard. They didn't try to weasel their way out of covering my claim, even though they technically could have. Instead, they operated with complete integrity and honesty. And that's why I'm going to be sticking with them for all my future home warranty needs.

Liberty Home Guard Worst Home Warranty Company Ever: My Experience with Liberty Home Guard

Oh my goodness, let me tell you about my experience with Liberty Home Guard. I thought they were going to be the answer to all my problems, but boy was I wrong. They make all these promises about coverage and repairs, but then when I actually needed them, they were nowhere to be found.

I've tried four different home warranty companies over the past decade, but Liberty has got to be the worst of them all. If I could give them negative stars, I would. Every time I've tried to file a claim - whether it's for my air conditioner, rekey, or dryer - they can't seem to provide any solutions. And don't even get me started on their customer service. They won't respond to my emails and I can never seem to get a hold of anyone on the phone.

Honestly, I feel like I've wasted my money on this company. And to top it all off, they'll send over a repair person or technician who's no longer under contract with them. Talk about shady business practices.

If you're thinking about signing up with Liberty Home Guard, I highly suggest you reconsider. But if you really want to know more, feel free to hit me up directly and I'll give you all the specific details.

Liberty Home Guard Liberty Home Guard Review: Disappointing Service and Unfair Tactics

I don't recommend buying Liberty Home Guard for your warranty needs. They seem to use some tricks on customers, which is not fair at all. Recently, we had an issue with our AC unit and we decided to file a claim. To our surprise, Liberty Home Guard declined to fix or replace the unit because the technician couldn't find the right part.

They claimed that the part didn't exist, so their hands were tied. However, all they offered us was a tiny sum of $250, which was totally ridiculous. We were trying to get the AC unit functioning again, especially now that it's summer time. Unfortunately, Liberty Home Guard was ignoring our request, and we had to make many phone calls just to communicate with them.

To my disappointment, they told us there was nothing they could do to resolve the problem except offer the $250. The sad reality is that the $250 isn't enough to fix the AC unit, and they knew it. This situation made me wonder about the way the company treats its customers. We've been using their services for the second year, but it seems like they don't care about our loyalty and they don't have the capability to fix the issue.

In conclusion, I strongly advise you not to choose Liberty Home Guard for your warranty needs. Their inability to deal with the issue we had left us feeling frustrated and cheated. I hope that they address these issues and provide better customer service in the future.

Liberty Home Guard Unreliable and Untrustworthy: My Experience with Liberty Home Guard

This review is about Liberty Home Guard (libertyhomeguard.com). Boy oh boy, do I have a story for you! It's about that terrible product these guys are selling. Let me tell you, it's the worst thing on the market. Back in January of 2022, I filed a claim with these folks and I'm still waiting for them to come through. Imagine that, waiting months for a repairman to show up!

Now, I'm not one to complain, but after three to four weeks, I called Liberty to get an update on the job. They had assigned it to an Amazon repair technician who claimed to have never heard of the referral. What kind of nonsense is that? Unbelievable! Can you say incompetence?

Liberty had the audacity to ask me to find a repairman myself and promised to reimburse me for their opinion. Mind you, this was after I had already forked out $70.00 per claim fee. And then, to add insult to injury, they charged me $250.00 for something that requires an entire unit replacement. Can you believe that?!

To make matters worse, Liberty didn't keep their promise to reimburse me for the technician fee and refused to pay a reasonable replacement cost. This whole experience has been a complete scam - I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy their product. In fact, I filed a claim with the State of NY consumer protection and will also be reporting them to BBB. I'll do whatever it takes to stop others from falling prey to their schemes.

Now, I don't know how these guys managed to become rated #1, but I can tell you that's a load of bull. Stay away from Liberty Home Guard - they'll just leave you high and dry with a broken appliance and an empty wallet.

Liberty Home Guard Stay Away from Liberty Home Guard: A Scam Company in Disguise

So, I got a lot of calls from Liberty Home Guard and eventually decided to give them a try. My clients had been complaining about other warranty companies charging fees to come out plus a yearly fee of around $600. Even after that, they wouldn't cover items by finding sneaky ways to maneuver through the contract.

In my case, when my AC went out, they sent a third-party company to check it out and it would have cost $300 to fix it, which they agreed to pay $900 for. However, they didn't approve it because we couldn't provide yearly maintenance records. But, we had been living in our home for 13 years, and the company they hired even said it was just a worn-out part. They claimed that we didn't have records was like saying I got a flat tire because I didn't change the oil.

It seems like they are more concerned about making money than actually providing the services they claim to provide. They'll make sure that they'll charge us for every service that they can provide, and we'll end up paying more and more money. It's like nothing in your home really requires any repair until they make enough money to cover it. In this case, 90% of the service calls would be covered if you pay for them everything.

So, I warn you to stay away from Liberty Home Guard at all costs. Even though they may seem convincing on the phone, their priority is making money and finding a way to get out of paying for the issues you might have.

Liberty Home Guard Disappointing Experience with Liberty Home Guard: Terrible Customer Service & Hidden Contract Limits

So, I love moving around and exploring different places, and I've settled down in a total of five houses. When I decided to sign up with Liberty Home Guard, I thought they were a fantastic company due to their ratings and promises of excellent customer service. However, my experience showed that it wasn't the case at all.

First up, Liberty Home Guard is a newer company, and it shows in their absurdly long wait times when you're trying to reach them for help. It took them forever to create a new portal, which looks alright, but unfortunately, their representatives look for any excuse in the book to avoid helping someone with their claims! It almost feels like they don't care about what they've promised to deal with if you need their service.

What I noticed recently about the contract limits/caps on reimbursable expenditures was that they don't tell you about it straight-up during the sales pitch. It's frustrating because it seems that they keep important details hidden and just sneakily revealed them later on.

And let's talk about the three service calls. Every time I called, it took forever, even when I'm stuck in a smelly, yucky water problem. To make things worse, two out of three calls took so long that I had to push the handling to senior management. Not only did it take me a while to reach them, but Liberty Home Guard also straight up said they ain't going to pay because it costs too much. They don't even bother to explain the Terms & Conditions of the contract - they just say it's too expensive.

The latest electrical issue was a straight-up headache. According to their own electrician's diagnosis, there was a substantial problem. However, Liberty Home Guard made me pay upwards of $8k out of my pocket for further investigation, and didn't make good on their promise to cover anything above the limit.

Not too long ago, David - an executive - called me about the second claim, and he promised a lot of things like better customer service and improvement in the site, all for a five-star review. Well, unfortunately for him, it's tough to hide from his actions. Three months later, I had another claim, and the customer service got even more terrible than before. I cannot in good faith recommend Liberty Home Guard to anyone.

Liberty Home Guard Liberty Home Guard Review: Don't Waste Your Money on This Scammer Company

I'm gonna be honest with ya'll, I ain't one to write bad reviews but with Liberty Home Guard (libertyhomeguard.com) I really gotta speak my mind. I bought one of their policies thinking that I'd be covered if anything went wrong with my appliances, HVAC system, and partial roof coverage. Spent a pretty penny, almost $600, but figured it'd be worth it in the long run. But boy was I wrong.

Just two months later my built-in microwave stopped workin' and I called up Liberty Home Guard right away. They charged me $75 for a service call fee and I waited for a couple days fer the repairman to come. My hubby was so worried he called up to find out when they'd be comin', but instead of gettin' any answers they asked fer the brand and model number of my microwave. After a few more days we got an email that our appliance was too old, more than 13 years old mind you, and that they would only pay up to $225 to replace it. They gave us a list of models to choose from, but the cheapest one was $2500, you heard that right.

I've talked to them about this over and over again but they never seem to listen. Every time I call they tell me they'll talk to the manager and get back to me, but it never happens. I done asked to talk directly to the manager, Elizabeth, but they always say she's busy talkin' to another customer. And they keep sayin' they'll email me the info but it never comes. What kind of customer service is this?

I ain't one to throw around the word scammer, but honestly, that's what they are. They took my money and then left me high and dry when I really needed 'em. Do y'all selves a favor and don't waste your hard earned money with Liberty Home Guard.

Liberty Home Guard Stay Away! Liberty Home Guard is the Worst Home Warranty Company

I've had home warranties for many properties before, but I can confidently say that Liberty Home Guard is the absolute worst home warranty company out there. Their customer service is subpar and you constantly get the runaround when you try to claim a service. On July 15, 2021, I encountered an issue with my hot water tank, and I immediately called Liberty Home Guard to establish a claim since my household was totally out of hot water. However, the representative I spoke to only informed me that a technician will contact me soon to come out and diagnose the problem.

I emphasized to the representative that I am a disabled veteran and needing hot water is critical. However, on the following day, July 16, 2021, I contacted Liberty Home Guard because I still haven't received any response yet. They just gave me a number of another company, who then told me that they couldn't come out until July 20, 2021- four days without hot water already. The technician showed up eventually, stating that the tank needs to be replaced due to electric issues inside the tank, making it short out and not produce hot water. He also informed me that Liberty Home Guard will be notified of his findings and that he would submit his report electronically once he got back to his truck.

However, two days had passed with no response, so I called Liberty Home Guard to ask about the status on the issue. Unfortunately, they just told me that it was under review and would take another 24 hours to resolve. It's been eight days without hot water, and I've been struggling to stay afloat. On July 23, 2021, I called Liberty Home Guard again, but they told me that they haven't received the report from the technician yet. Finally, on July 26, 2021, I asked to speak with a supervisor or manager, but they told me that no one was available.

After several attempts, I found out that they had received the report and unfortunately, it was denied, stating that there was rust in my tank, which is not what the technician informed me. I contacted the technician, and he emphasized that he did not report any rust in the tank. I asked Liberty Home Guard to send me a copy of the report, but they informed me that they did not have a written report and that it was just verbal. After much hassle, I filed a complaint with the BBB and contacted my lawyer. Only then, did Liberty Home Guard agree to re-evaluate my claim.

Please save yourself the bother and don't fall for their advertisements. This is a poorly managed company with no sense of morals. They're only after your money and will do anything to mess over their customers. As of this review, it has been 12 days without hot water, and I'm still waiting for Liberty Home Guard to deliver on their promises.

Liberty Home Guard Avoid Liberty Home Guard for Home Warranty - Scammers Alert!

Stay far away from Liberty Home Guard (libertyhomeguard.com) if you don't want to waste your money and time dealing with scammers. They lure you to buy their so-called warranty plan and then vanish into thin air when you try to file a claim. And if you dare to ask for a refund, they will slap you with an NDA so that you can't speak out against their shoddy services.

I made the terrible mistake of buying their warranty plan, and my experience with them has been nothing but a nightmare. When my HVAC system malfunctioned, I submitted a claim on November 4th, hoping that they would come to my rescue. However, they assigned me a technician that I never heard from, and after a couple of weeks, they switched the claim to another technician.

The technician diagnosed the issue as a blower motor problem on my Armstrong unit and sent the information to Liberty Home Guard (LHG). Surprisingly, LHG approved the claim via email and promised to call me within 24-48 hours. As expected, I didn't receive any call, so I chatted with them, and they said they were waiting for the technician's information.

I called the technician myself, and he picked up the call immediately and told me that he sent them everything they needed to know, including the part number and where to buy the part. Later that day, I received another phone call, informing me that the claim was approved, and I would receive a compliance letter that I had to sign. But the letter never came. I chatted with them again, and they said they had to talk to the technician again.

I decided to text the technician this time, and he responded promptly, repeating the same information he had already told them. Finally, I received another email saying that the claim was approved, and I should be hearing from someone within 24-48 hours. Of course, that never happened, so I emailed them again, asking for an update. They kept giving me the run-around, and every time I asked for clarification, they would come up with some lame excuse.

When I finally received the compliance letter, I noticed some vague language that implied that they weren't responsible if the part didn't work. I asked them some questions about it, but they gave me more jargon without any actual answer. When the part came, the technician confirmed that it wasn't the right one, and the manufacturer told him it wouldn't work.

I have since demanded a refund, but they are trying to force me to sign an NDA, so they can keep their reputation intact. I have also lodged a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), but I doubt it will do any good. In summary, stay away from Liberty Home Guard at all costs, unless you enjoy being scammed and frustrated.

So check it, I got this call from a "higher up" at Liberty Home Guard (LGH) after I was trippin' over multiple bad reviews and had even complained to the BBB. And let me tell you, they were not tryna hear what I was sayin'. They straight up refused to make things right and pay for my technician costs and repairs. I mean, come on! This company is a joke!

I can't stress enough how you shouldn't waste your time or moolah on their product. It's just not worth it. LGH is all talk and no action. Save yourself the headache and go with a different home warranty company.

Liberty Home Guard Liberty Home Guard - A Home Warranty Company to Avoid

You know what really grinds my gears? Liberty Home Guard. Don't get me started on this so-called "home warranty" company. They say they'll cover all your appliances and systems, but they've got a sneaky trick up their sleeve. They already know all the common repairs for everything, so they can deny claims left and right. Say your water heater is leaking? Nope, they won't cover it. Your oven's thermostat is busted? Sorry, not covered. It's like they're psychic or something.
Honestly, save your money and go buy a lottery ticket to pay for your repairs. It'll give you a better chance of getting paid than dealing with Liberty Home Guard. Don't waste your time or money with these jokers.
