I was scheduled for surgery this morning at 6 AM and my procedure was canceled and no one told me. I called the clinic on Friday the 22nd to tell them that I had bites on me from chiggers to see if that would affect my surgery no one called me back until Monday at 4:20. when I called back the phone I was on hold for 20 minutes and no one ever answered I tried four different times to call the clinic back. I finally called the hospital to pre-register myself since I hadn’t heard from them and the lady told me my surgery was canceled. I kept calling the clinic finally after another 20 minutes someone answered and they told me it was canceled because of the bites. she told me they were having problems with the phone and that’s no excuse for why no one got a hold of me to tell me it was canceled.

I can't even begin to start off with how horrible this health care system is. I have had numerous problems with multiple different doctors. For starters on September 11th 2020 I went into the ER 7 weeks pregnant with pain in my back and lower abdomen. When I went in I was told I possibly had appendicitis which isnt possible because I had my appendix removed 8 years prior. This had been noted in my chart. Within the same month I was having some mild cramping and bleeding and I called the Obgyns office numerous times and was told not to worry about it until my appointment on October 5th. 3 days prior it got so bad that I went to the er and was told I had a miscarriage. When I went for a follow up appointment on the 5th which was supposed to be my first prenatal I was given Oxycodone and Misoprostol. I can not take either of these do to a heart condition and I made sure Dr.Affrasiab was aware of it she also made a rude comment to me alone the lines of "at least you wont have to worry about finances anymore" due to my age at the time of my miscarriage. Later that night I ended up back in the emergency room because I was short of breath and I almost went into cardiac arrest. When i wrote a review about it just on google I was getting calls multiple times a day from the hospital telling me that they believe my comment was inaccurate and that they would be removing it unless I decided to file a formal complaint against said doctor in which I was very uncomfortable with because of the trauma that I was put through but her and her team not only with them ignoring me about my concerns but the comment she made after my miscarriage and the issues she caused me physically after. About a year later I was diagnosed with chronic migraines and was put on Rizatriptan we later found out I was allergic and I went to the ER where Dr.Clay gave me Benadryl and then said she would switch the medication. The problem didn't occur this time until I went to the pharmacy to pick up the new prescription and found out it was the exact same thing that previously sent me to the ER. The only reason why I ever go to Lake Regional is because of my Neurologist. I am 22 weeks pregnant and I have switched most of my medical files to Lebanon which is a 45 minute drive away from me. Recently I have had worse migraines which are so debilitating I can't move or else I will vomit. When I call the department I get told I will get a call back and they never end up actually calling back. I have been told this almost every single day for the last 2 months. I can't even get a referral for another doctor because "They will call me back". It seems to them as my problems aren't serious and they would rather just ignore my concerns than deal with it or send me to another doctor. Overall my experience at Lake Regional has been horrible and it makes me question whether or not its the staff that's the issue or the hospital and the management.

On November 20, 2021 at approx 5:00 PM, I took my 27 year old daughter to urgent care. She had just recently been put on a new medication for some mental issues. We needed them to check for possible bladder infection and overwhelming anxiety. The urgent care was empty except us and one other patient leaving as we went in. So not busy at all. When the nurse practitioner came in immediately started talking to us as if we were idiots! I ended up crying. Forgive for not remembering her name but she has no business supposedly taking care of patients. I am not an idiot by any means and never need to be talked to as if I'm doing something wrong just by being there! This person told us we shouldn't be there and we should not go to emergency room. WE NEEDED HELP EVEN IF IT WAS JUST A KIND EAR! I WILL NEVER EVER GO THERE AGAIN.
