I recently bought a coat on sale from J Crew Factory and I gotta say, it's a pretty nice coat. However, I think I might have gotten a size too big. So, I decided to call them up and order a second size to see which one fits me better. I was hoping they could price match it for the same price I bought it for, but they said no can do. Apparently, their policy doesn't allow for that kind of thing.

They told me I could either buy the item at their current price (which is over $40 more than what I paid) or ship my item back as an exchange, which costs $7.50 each time. I told them I wanted both sizes in hand so I could decide which one to keep, but they didn't seem to care. They said I'd have to pay the extra $40 if I wanted to keep both sizes.

Honestly, I think that's a bit ridiculous. If I had decided the smaller size was too small and I needed my original item back, I would have to go through all this back and forth and pay $7.50 each time for shipping. That's an additional $15 loss and almost 3-4 weeks loss of time for transit time back and forth. Ain't nobody got time for that!

Overall, I still like J Crew Factory and their products, but their return policy could use some work. It's a shame that they don't allow for price matching or more flexible exchanges. But hey, at least I got a nice coat out of it.
