Yes, the journey often matters more than the destination when it comes to being happy. It is the process which counts, working toward set goals includes learning, growing and challenges, which in many cases may be more satisfactory than the moment of the achievement goal. This is due to the pursuit being active and there is a degree of self development which is a significant part of happiness. When a goal has been accomplished everything seems to lose its meaning, which can result in a sense of void until new objectives are established.
