Internet Hobbies Internet Hobbies Review: Great Prices, Terrible Customer Service

So, I was looking for a place to buy some model kits and I stumbled upon Internet Hobbies. At first glance, the prices seemed pretty good and they had a wide selection of products. I decided to give them a try and placed an order for a couple of kits.

However, things didn't go as smoothly as I hoped. After a week of waiting, I checked the status of my order and it still hadn't shipped. I sent them an email asking for an update, but I didn't get a response. I waited another week and still nothing. I sent another email, but again, no response.

At this point, I was getting frustrated. I just wanted to know what was going on with my order. I tried calling their customer service line, but it went straight to voicemail. I left a message, but no one ever called me back.

Finally, after over a month of waiting, I decided to cancel my order and get a refund. I contacted my credit card company and they were able to process the refund for me. It was a hassle, but at least I got my money back.

Overall, I can't recommend Internet Hobbies. While their prices and inventory may be good, their customer service is severely lacking. They don't seem to care about their customers and they don't follow through on their promises. If you're looking for a reliable place to buy model kits, I suggest looking elsewhere.

Internet Hobbies Unreliable and Unhelpful: My Experience with Internet Hobbies

Yo,

I gotta say, my experience with Internet Hobbies was not great. I ordered some stuff from them and never got it. Like, what the heck, man? And when I tried to get a refund, they were super sketchy and unhelpful. It was a real headache.

Eventually, I had to get my credit card company involved to get my money back. That's just ridiculous. I shouldn't have to jump through hoops like that to get what I paid for.

If you're thinking about using Internet Hobbies, I'd definitely recommend doing some research first. Check them out on the BBB website and see what other people have to say. And if you do decide to use them, be prepared for some potential headaches.

Oh, and by the way, if you need to get in touch with them, their number is ***535. They don't make it easy to find, but there it is.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend Internet Hobbies based on my experience. There are plenty of other places to buy hobby stuff that won't give you such a hard time.

Internet Hobbies Unsatisfactory Experience with Internet Hobbies: Lack of Communication and Long Wait Time

I recently had an experience with Internet Hobbies and it wasn't the best. I ordered a ship kit back in July or August and just received it today. To be honest, I had forgotten about it until I was deleting some emails and stumbled upon one that mentioned it was on backorder. I immediately emailed them with my order number to inquire about the status, but it seems like they may have forgotten about it too. The only thing that wasn't forgotten was the charge to my bank account.

I must say, this experience left a bad taste in my mouth. It's important for customers to be informed if an item is out of stock before they make a purchase. I wasn't given that information and it resulted in a long wait time. I understand that things can happen and items can go out of stock, but it's important for companies to communicate with their customers and provide updates on the status of their orders.

Internet Hobbies Disappointing Customer Service Experience with Internet Hobbies

So, I was checking out Internet Hobbies (internethobbies.com) and they say to read the "about our business/FAQ" part of the site before reaching out to them. I did that, and I gotta say, I learned more about the owners than I ever thought I would. But, I still had some questions about product availability, so I sent them an email.

Now, I gotta be honest, they didn't really answer my questions. But, what they did do was send me an advertisement email four days later. I mean, come on guys, I just wanted to know if you had the product I was looking for. So, I replied to the ad with the same questions and...nothing.

I don't know about you, but I don't really feel like giving them any of my hard-earned cash. I mean, if they can't even answer a simple question, how can I trust them to provide quality products and service? It's a shame, really, because I was excited to check out their selection. But, I guess I'll have to take my business elsewhere.

Internet Hobbies Terrible Experience with Internet Hobbies: Unworthy Customer Treatment and Order Cancellation

I had a really bad experience with Internet Hobbies. I waited for 10 days for my order to arrive, but it didn't. So, I decided to send them an email to ask about my order. They replied to me saying that they had received my order, but they had cancelled it because I asked them when I was going to get it. I was really upset when I read their email. They called me unworthy and said that I wasn't good enough to be their customer. They didn't even return my money, they just cancelled my order.

I think that Internet Hobbies is a terrible company. Their website is filled with lies and the person running it should be thrown in jail forever. They are just a bunch of worthless, rip off artists and con men. I really hope that they get what they deserve, which is prison time. They should be arrested and shut down immediately.

I would never recommend Internet Hobbies to anyone. They are a terrible company and they don't care about their customers. They just want to take your money and run. If you want to buy something online, I suggest that you look for another company. There are many other companies out there that are much better than Internet Hobbies. Don't waste your time and money on them.

Internet Hobbies Internet Hobbies: A Fraudulent Business to Avoid at All Costs

Internet Hobbies is a company that I would not recommend to anyone. I recently placed an order for three models on March 26th, 2021, and was promised a 2-3 day shipping time on their website. However, after a couple of weeks had passed, I still had not received any updates on my order. I decided to reach out to the company via email to inquire about the status of my order.

Their response was that my order was complete and would be shipped on April 13th, 2021. I was relieved to finally receive a response, but unfortunately, I never received the tracking number that was promised to me when my order left their warehouse. I sent several emails to the company asking for an update, but I received no response.

Finally, on May 4th, 2021, I received an email from the company stating that my order would be shipped the next day and that I would receive a tracking number. However, once again, I did not receive any tracking information or confirmation that my order had been shipped. I was frustrated and decided to demand a full refund via email.

To my surprise, the company's response was completely unprofessional and disrespectful. They replied with a vulgar phrase and threatened me by saying that they had forwarded my email to their lawyer. I was shocked and appalled by their behavior.

I continued to demand a refund, and thankfully, my bank was able to refund my money. However, I feel obligated to warn others about this terrible company. Their lack of communication, unprofessional behavior, and failure to deliver on their promises make them a fraudulent business that should be avoided at all costs.

Internet Hobbies Terrible Experience with Internethobbies.com: Shipping Delays and Poor Customer Service

I can't believe I'm the first to review this company on Site Jabber. I had a terrible experience with them, and it seems like I'm not the only one. I ordered 6 cans of Tamiya spray paint on August 15th, thinking I was getting a good deal. However, after doing some more research, I found out that Hobbylinc sells the same product for slightly less. Lesson learned.

I received an order confirmation via email on the same day, but then I didn't hear anything for 8 days. I sent an inquiry on August 23rd asking about the ship date, and the response I got the next day was pretty weak. They said that "out of stock products can sometimes delay shipping," but the paint I ordered wasn't listed as out of stock on their website. Maybe they don't update their site regularly? Who knows. They said my order would ship on August 24th, the same day they responded to my inquiry. Coincidence? I doubt it. Since they didn't send tracking info as expected, I had no way of knowing if they actually shipped on August 24th.

Most companies send an email with the ship date and tracking info/link to the shipper's site. Not this company. On August 25th, I sent an email telling them that unless they sent the ship date and tracking info, I would contact my VISA card company and dispute the charge. That got their attention. On August 26th, someone from the company sent a note saying that even though they weren't open that day (Friday, a normal closed day for them), they would send tracking info by the end of the day. It seemed like they were doing me a favor.

Finally, on August 26th, I received a shipping notice with tracking info from Yahoo. Following my promise to take action against them, they did what they were supposed to do in the first place. As I suspected, the guy didn't mail the package on August 24th like he said he did. Most other reviews I read had similar experiences. The seller didn't respond to the buyer at all or in a timely manner, and shipping delays were lengthy. Who knows when I would have received my order if I hadn't put pressure on them. It's ridiculous.

Update: The lowest price shipping option is USPS parcel select. I've never had anything sent via that method, but "parcel" gave me the hint that delivery time would be longer. I was okay with a bit slower delivery, but the $9.95 fee for the slowest possible mail suggests that they want to make some money on shipping. Priority mail for the size of the box to hold these 6 cans of paint would have cost only $6.80, and I would have received the order within three days after delivery to the post office.

Today, September 7th, 2016, I finally received my order. That's 24 days from order to receipt, which is a record for my internet purchase experience. It seems like the person who owns this shop is barely more than a one-man operation. He shipped my items 11 days after I ordered, which is just irresponsible. Nowadays, customers expect a lot more from internet sellers.

I prefer Hobbylinc, where I just placed my second order in three weeks. Check them out and avoid the ridiculousness of Internethobbies.com.
