As someone who has spent over a year on InternationalCupid, I feel compelled to share my honest experience with this dating site. First and foremost, I must say that I did give it a fair try, but unfortunately, I have come to the conclusion that it is a complete scam.

The reason? Well, there are thousands of fake profiles on the site that the "International Cupid Team" doesn't seem to care about. In fact, I suspect they are aware of the issue, but do nothing about it because the inflated numbers make the site seem more popular than it is - and that's more appealing to potential paying users.

The vast majority of the fake profiles are from scammers based in Africa and the Philippines - and their messages are almost always a scam. They will send their phone number in the first message, often even if they don't speak your language.

Another significant issue on the site is the number of users who don't seem to read profiles. I've come across countless individuals who clearly have no idea what I'm interested in, and who are generally ignorant - it's hugely frustrating.

But perhaps the most irritating thing about International Cupid is the lack of action taken against scammers. Despite what they claim, verification is not enforced - in fact, it seems like only 20% of profiles on the site have been verified. If they took verification more seriously, it might help to increase quality and reduce the number of fake profiles.

More than anything, though, I find it disappointing that the site seems to prioritize making money over the needs and safety of its users. They are quick to ban real users, but they do nothing about the obvious scammers who are everywhere on the site. I know for a fact that they make money from these scammers, and the fact that they don't remove them seems incredibly shady.

All in all, I would advise anyone looking for genuine connections online to steer well clear of any of the Cupid sites. It's ultimately just a waste of time and money. Please beware of the scams that do exist on InternationalCupid, and proceed with caution.
